Now having say what I said earlier here I have to say I think everybody realizes that Baylor come Saturday is gonna be loaded for BEAR - -no pun intended there but we could be walking into a Lion's den. -We know they are after revenge, we know we are not going to shoot that kinda of % back to back - -bottom line shouldn't really surprise anyone here IF we do get beat Saturday. I'm just going to go ahead and throw this out there. Some may think it's a pretty bold statement - -some may think I've been smoking some really good stuff - - & others may think I'm just insane but I'm gonna say it anyways. -
If we play the way we did last night - - if we shoot the way we did last night - -if we get out and run the way w did last night - -Then this team can play with anybody - - I mean ANYBODY. - yes it was K/State - - AND? they usually play pretty solid defense , but I think w had something to do about their defense last night - we just went out and TOOK IT. - So ya their defense didn't look great last night , but maybe - - just maybe it was partly because of how we played - -how we move the ball - - shared the ball - maybe it was partly because our bench showed up last night OR maybe it was a combo of all of the above.
I'm telling you when this team gets out in transition w can be pretty good the flow is smooth the offense is sweet - -the ball doesn't stick , quick crisp passes and the players run - - run - -and run some more and we got the guys that can do that - -Juan - -Jalen - - Joe - -Och - if this team plays like it did last night - -we can be good - -we were good - -we can be scary good. now I know it's not going to be like that every time out BUT
This league a a whole has some of the best defensive teams in the Nation - -we go against hard , aggressive , solid , stout defenses night after night after night and I don't think there are a lot of teams out there defensively that are that much better then what we face all season long. - -Just saying that's all, and offensively we got weapons - -we got all kinds of weapons - -again it sowed last night. Might of been the 1st time ALL YEAR we have really seen what this team is really capable of when we hitting on all cyclinders . - -I'm just sayin call me crazy - been called worse but I think we can be just as scary good as a lot of these others - were not that far off. - - I picked us to cover the 1 last night & it actually ended up right about what I thought- - K/State had no answer even Brucie said that in his post gam - -Were good. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
@nwhawkfan - -That's mainly me that's been posting about the ladies in here, and if your truly reading my posts you would know that by far not trying to insult the ladies, I've followed them all year - hell I follow them every year. - -The reason I didn't make a thread is wll you can see I just don't think there is a lot of interest in how they do in this site - -but I care and they DO DESERVE some time & space they are doing really well.
Tough one tonight Iowa State is really the only one that man handled the ladies this year. We got Baylor again the ladies played them really close I think it was a 4 point loss. - - We beat Texas at Texas , and w actually led Oklahoma pretty much the entire game , just got away some in the end - -Tonight might g ugly I'm not holding my breath but you neve know other then that let's roll the ball out there and let the ladies get after it.
We got some talent , our 6'6 Center Jackson cleans the glass , scores some , and solid shot blocker, our guard Franklin pretty good little guard , got a couple of pretty decent 3 pt shooters. - -Coach is finally doing something with his talent. - - another guard I believe her name is prather little scrapper.

They just talked about how they could see how the KU kids have grown and developed over their years and that how K/State will never be able to recruit Kansas kids with constantly being in the bottom tier of the league.
Sounds like they might be getting close to having an additional game played - pretty close to getting it done as they try to enhance their chances of getting in the NCAA tourney - -looks like they might be playing BYU - date mentions sounds like might be March 2nd as BYU looking for an additional game also trying to get Tier 1 win. - -just a little FYI from my side of things message to Bruce -- your NOT going to make into the NCAA's - -your just not

He said he was looking to Visit Oregon this month and going to visit KU over this summer and potentially Ohio State as soon as the next 2 weeks. Jason said he loves Oregon - -and he loves KU.
Saying both Schools were a dream when they offered me. I want to say those 2 are that I'm really looking forward to visiting & building a relationship with .
He spoke of KU ( and these things falls right in line with what he is looking for - we have that according to him ) He said he loved KU'S winning program , he loved the environment that I see on TV everyday Always lots of fans there , lot's of students there so I feel like their environment is really a deal breaker in a School for me. I really like Kansas for their winning aspect and their environment on and off the court. As far as the recruiting process he said what he was looking for was the Schools play style , the relationship and a family atmosphere- -( we got those ) - A name to keep an eye on.

@stoptheflop Welp as a former referee myself of 17 yrs I say BS to your BS , you looking to get someone hurt then you gonna have people bitching as to why they not getting called. -So basically what your wanting is a long as a player after getting clubbed as long as he still has all extremities in tact - - let er go lmao. Your right i reality IF a ref wanted to they COULD call a foul every single fricking time down the floor and it is up to the players to decide how the game is called for the most point..
You got kids acting like they are auditioning for some Broadway super show with their fake ass flop bullshit. - the refs COULD call that ever single time too .It's like I our crew always explained to the Captains of the game before the game , we would go over things and the biggest bitch we as referees had and we would tell them play solid defense - - slide your feet and keep your hands off, to many dam kids as wanting to hand check , and a lot of hand checks go un called that COULD be called and it would be the right call but they don't. -tell the players move your feet and defend don't grab.
We always found out that if we called it close in the beginning of the game then it made it a lot easier later in the game because players knew they wasn't going to get away with all their BS plays - lot easier that way then to let them play grab ass through out and then try to tighten up and clean it up later in the close game. -if you let it go then try to tighten up later then you got Players - - Coach's - & that sideline bleacher Coach fans saying WELL you haven't called that the entire game -- -why now ?
Thing is also we as Referee's know that een that super fan sitting on the 1st ground level seat thinks OH I can see everything why did they call that - -that wasn't a foul I'm telling you , you may think you can see everything that's going on so you can make that perfect call BUT unless your actually out on the floor with these players on the floor you would be shocked at exactly just HOW MUCH you missed from that 1st row prime seat. You get those players swinging fore arms and or whatever else and the game is very physical and no way can you see all that's going on.
Sure it's frustrating - it's frustrating for the fans - it's frustrating for the players - it's frustrating for the Coach's - AND it's frustrating for the ref's too. - A referees doesn't get a penny more for a game rather it's short and clean or a marathon foul infested ugly choppy ball game - -they all still get paid the same amount
Eveyone knows that the best scenario is if a Referee could do a complete game and fans and everyone involved didn't even realize that there were ref's on the floor but that's not reality reality is , that if a player thinks he can gain some kind of an advantage and get away with it and or not get caught - -they are gonna do it - And officials do get graded , every game and they do get reported to Commissioners and or whoever else and if it's deemed they are doing poorly then they have much harder times getting scheduled . I understand the game of Basketball just fine I played it-- - I Coached it AND I have refereed in it too so got just a little bit about knowing about it --ya I hate it to but that's just the way it is - -believe it or not it COULD be worse
