Christian is not going anywhere really had a very sub par season. - A lot of times didn't even know he was on the floor wasn't looking for his shot at all. Think he lost some confidence

UCLA has gotten lucky - -real lucky a couple of times tonight , Gonzaga with a couple of wide - - wide - - open three's and missed. Kispert missed one , Timme missed one. That doesn't usually happen had ttime to set their feet just missed that's not going to happen very often especially with Kispert.

I said the first 6-7 minutes was going to be huge for UCLA they still right there

I think Gonzaga's Kispert & Suggs going to find it a little harde rscoring 3's against Baylor's defense. Mitchell probably on Kispert maybe Butler on Suggs - gonna be a good game I hope

ya thats the HUGE thing, they have to stick to their game plan -- - be patient - - work the clock take advantage of mis matches - don't get sped up against these guys. Keep the game close into the last 5 minutes, where anyone's game see how Gonzaga withstands legit pressure. Again they haven't been challenged until tonight. - -UCLA led for like 18 of the 20 minutes in the 1st half.

The first 6-7 minutes of the 2nd half going to be HUGE for UCLA

UCLA is doing a really good job of playing at their pace. They are taking their time in half-court sets and not turning the ball over too much (just 5 for the game so far). I don't know. Gonzaga's offense is otherworldly. Baylor has the speed to rotate defensively and two big bodies to throw at Drew Timme, but idk. I think Timme might eat Baylor alive. I would feel better if Baylor still had Freddie Gillespie. Also going to depend on how the game is called.

I know you can't have dictate who Coach's are - yet you want that connection Coach's/players - plus his recruiting ability. The man can recruit no doubt about that - -wish it was a little different scenario where we could just have named Jones as the HC. - -just not quite ready for that position yet . - -I like Jones for sure -- & I'm pretty stoked on Leipold , with keeping Jones on your staff I think less chance of transfers out/players leaving.

I just feel pretty vitual we keep as much as possible to keep this roster in tact , and retaining Emmit on the Coaching Staff I would think would be a huge step to make that happen

ya we got the pieces in spots for sure & gettin more. Defensive secondary is getting there you can see it grow right before your eyes - - still young but in ways that's a good thing. These 4 year guys , all high school talent going to be salty by their Jr year for sure, Pretty good receiver group going to be pretty heated competition 6'3 - -6'4 guys guys with some speed in that group , guys that can go get the ball win those 50/50 battles - more more of this 6' - 6'1 I mean they're good too but just a little harder to make that grab against taller CB'S

Think we are going to see a turnaround in this QB situation I really think the Green kid can come in and be the Starter Plus you give Easters & Hawley a year or 2 tops learning then stepping in -plus Jalon not going anywhere we'll be fine. -Our running backs is solid - -wanting to see if Neal can step in right away and contribute - -plus others coming back.

The big question mark once again is going to be the lines I think - - O- Line & D-Line - -.

I think our Defense overall will take strides this year, I think later this year - -next year this defense can be really salty WERE COMING BABY, not by far saying we gonna be taking any titles - - BUT saying WATCH we about to be competitive , finally again - -SOON - - REAL SOON

Considering the circumstances I think it’s a good hire. Goff is green but has been around one of the best in the business for quite awhile.

I also think the coaching search moves FAST now. The search firm already is vetting and gauging interest. Leipold would take the gig tomorrow if offered.

I agree with you on how quick they move. With the Ad in place , everything I've been hearing that Leipold really wants this job, and I think again from things I've heard well John Q Public wants Leipold also - - hell I think he would be sweet also - -and I'm thinking he is in pretty favorable spot with the group looking for the Coach.

All things considered really don't think we could ask for much better, plus I think from everything I've heard and his field success he can turn things around. We've went with the Big Name Coach's and look where tha has got us , really don't think I want to go that route anymore. - -Thing is - -are we just another step up higher of a stepping stone for Leipold? Just time will tell , not sure how he does in his recruiting but I'm hyped about his possible hire anyways - - I'm ready to give him his shot. - -Hell we might have a New A d by Monday and maybe even a Coach by Friday. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Yeah, he was awful, pure crap. Dave was only second in fg % for the entire season in the big 12, and first in fg % in conference games. .544 compared to 2nd place at .503.

A number of guys had higher %, but like Sims of Texas only shot about 5 times per game and didn't qualify.

Good god, the Dave bashing just doesn't stop.

I hear ya, for some People Dave was an easy target to rip , like I said to spoiled from Doke - but bottom line was just a totally different player Different make up - - different build Dave could for sure get out in space much more and showed that he could hit from further distance , now true maybe some ill advised timing at times on shot selection but never the less was in the game.

Coach Self just didn't pull it out his ass when he was asked who the most improved player during the off season was from last year and he responded Dave McCormack HANDS DOWN , not even close. But it's ok buddy everyone has an opinion and is entitled to that opinion just like you and me Dave is fine.

ONE thing I do know Dave saved our ass enough , thats for sure because there was games if it wern't for him we wouldn't even had a sno balls chance in hell to win the game cause he was carrying the team, more then one 18 point halves till the others pulled their heads out their ass and started to play - there is not one guy on this team you couldn't pick apart if you really wanted to - just easy to go after Dave - -it's all good

I read I think on the initial yr when this portol came around they said they had like 1,942 players announce this si going to push that if it keeps going

It's tough to go from Doke shooting 100% from the field to whatever Dave did this season.

Doke would make A LOT of other Big's across the landscape look really really bad, wouldn't be just Dave. - See I think this was part of fans problem, we got so spoiled because of the player Doke turned out to be, and SOME again SOME just thought that would automatically carry over to Dave. - Totally different type player. Doke was a rim protector, with no range shooting the ball -big time rebounder - -where Dave better range further away from the rim. OK rebounder , could of been better, but for sure had his moments more frequent i the later part - -actually saved our ass more then once if it wern't for him we probably would of had 2-3 more loses. Big reason Doke % was so high was because 90 % of his shots were flushes. - -David just didn't have that kind of game not as imposing Big/Solid but still totally different player David more J's could you see Doke shooting that % he had trying to hit outside J lmao.

The quality of the staff wouldn't be great because most assistant coaches aren't leaving their job during the summer. Whoever the new AD is needs to let Jones coach this season, then reevaluate after the season. If Jones struggles early, then recruits can wait to see who the next coach is. That's very true. There is a big part of me that wants them to leave Jones alone, let him have his shot for the Regular season for more then one reason. Who knows maybe just maybe the guy might have a knack, I know he has a great relationship with the current players or at least a decent amount of them. Doesn't necessarily translate into W's, think he will get the most out of these kids.

Believe it or not there IS some talent on this roster, the defensive secondary is coming, could be a pretty salty group in another year. I think possibly we have the makings of actual QB or two - -given time. - -I truly jumped the gun on this late Transfer QB , the more I see of him the more I like got a good arm, for sure has some juice, plus I think in a year or two our two FR QB'S could surprise.

I think the big question as has been these past few years is can we assemble a group of OL that can give these guys time to make plays, if you can't protect - doesn't matter who you have back there, really looking for improvement in BOTH lines OL & DL. - need more out of the DL to put pressure on opposing QB'S

The big thing I don't want to see is disruption in recruiting, have had 2 pretty decent classes coming in can't afford to disrupt this. Again let Jones run the team this year none of this coming in in the middle and trying to shake things up - -AGAIN. - -If he starts the Season as Coach - -let him finish this season as Coach - -Just want to see this as a competitive team again , a team where a person can enjoy a Saturday afternoon feeling like we actually have a shot at some W's and not having to worry about how be the spread of us getting our ass kicked on yet ANOTHER Saturday afternoon. Miss the days of being able to go to the Stadium and enjoy a competitive game. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

A lot of talk how the Fans want Wes Miller to just promote, guess he is a really well like up and coming Coach under the age of 40. - - ONE thing that no NC fan wants sounds like is for Hubert Davis to become the next head Coach - -a lot of the fans afraid he will get the job - -but they want Miller

We need to get this AD wrapped up get him in place so we can concentrate on hiring the next Football Coach. - -been hearing Goff quite a bit - if he is let's get him wrapped up so we can concentrate on getting our next football Coach in place, & not lose a year of recruiting. Hard to sell a kid on a School/program with no Coach.

We have had a couple pretty good years in recruiting, don't need any set backs. Been hearing Leipold from some on his staff according to insiders that he really wants to Coach at KU - would love to have him - can't let this chance slip away. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
