Well , been a long night my KU friends. wondering could I ask a favor ? - -If you get that extra minute, could you put in a word with the Big Man upstairs ?

A pretty good friend of mine who lives across the street from me, -a very close friend not doing good - - not doing good at all. He is in Isolation at St Mt Vail. - -Kinda hurts - - -kinda sucks -- gonna try and get some sleep, but kind of afraid to go to sleep ,afraid of what I might get woke up to. -- could be a long night.

He says this Season the Big 12 is a powerhouse , one that will never be seen again in College Basketball. He goes on to say that we have a true one & done - - the Big 12 Conference - -at least THIS Big 12 Conference.

Lopresti says , 6 of the top 19 ranked teams are members of the Big 12 with KU (2 )- -Hous ( 4 )- -& Bay ( 6 0 at the top. - - - - - 6 of the top 15 current NCAA Net Rankings carry the Big 12 label with BYU , Okla , and Iowa St towards the top.

Only 7 unbeaten teams -- -- 3 call the Big 12 home - -Houston - - -Baylor - - & -Oklahoma - -( 28-0 ). Texas is ranked 17th Nationally but has only the 10th best record in the Big 12.

Houston : - -# 1 in the Nation in scoring defense , and turnover margin . Has held 8-10 opponents to 55 points or under & in -- 20 halves of play have allowed no more then 30 points - 4 times. - -Houston has outscored teams 234-80 in points off turnovers, Houston has brought this suffocating way to the Big 12.

Kansas : - KU leads the Nation with a 22.1 in assists pe game , which contributes to 74 % of the Field goals. - -KU is 2nd best in D- 1 shooting at 52.7 % , KU has won 58 games in a row when out rebounding their opponent. McCullar is the only men's player in America with two triple doubles.

Baylor : Is a close 2nd in the Nation in 3 point field goal % outscoring opponents by 84 points behind the arc. Baylor is 27-11 in the past 4 seasons against ranked teams including 16-5 away from home. Baylor is in the top 10 for the 5th straight Season Duke & KU are the only other Schools who can say that.

BYU : -( this is crazy ) - -BYU was predicted to finish 13th in the Conference but yet currently # 3 in the Net rankings -- 2nd in the Nation in average scoring margin and three pointers and 3rd in rebounding margin. BYU is 2nd in the Nation with 40 points a night coming off the Bench. Teams leading scorer hasn't started a game Jaxson Robinson ( 16.9 ) the BYU starting guards- - Spencer Johnson & Trevin Knell are 26 & 25 years old, their back court is older then the Orlando Magic & Oklahoma City Thunder.

Oklahoma : - they were predicted for 12th in the pre season but haven't lost yet , Oklahoma is 13-2 against the SEC since 2018-19 Season, guess where they are going next year ?

Iowa St: -They are 3rd in the Nation in both steals & turnovers forced. Their top player grew up 2 miles from Hilton - -averaging 15 ppg - -6.3 rpg - -& 6.1 assts

Kansas State : - 8-2 record with 4 wins coming in over time. you better get them in the first 40 minutes - - Tang is 9-0 in overtime and he is 25 -12 in regulation.

To finalize - -Houston since 2017 owns the 2nd highest winning % only behind Gonzaga. - - How high is the rankings going to be & how loud will it be when Houston comes to the phog for the 1st time in 40 years - -then when KU goes to Houston for the 1st time since 1983.

Baylor with the luck of the Schedule , gets a break -- No Houston - - Iowa St - -or Oklahoma on the road. - How will the Big 12 farmlands do on their BYU swings through the Mountains in Provo ?
My answer (Jayballer 67 ) to that - -I think we will handle the Mountains fine as we have played in Boulder many times - -we will be fine.

It's going to be crazy - an absolute blood bath, - -just saying with Arizona coming in next year on top of this - -then and I'm saying if- -if it come to reality we would end up adding Gonzaga - -Holy Crap

To go along with what MR11 was saying about offensive rebounding , this is one thing that we are really , really , bad at. - -let's see we are what 9-1 - playing what ten games this year ?

I was looking at our team stats and other then Hunter who has 27 offensive rebounds on the year and even that is not crushing it , but other then that no other KU player is in double digits for the season I think KJ is next with NINE & Kevin has EIGHT. In ten games haven't hit double digit in offensive rebounding - -just sad, so pretty much on the offensive end if we don't make our first shot - - -were done , empty trip. We only have a grand total of SEVENTY NINE offensive rebounds for the Season, that's not going to get it done. Got to get better.

Something else found really interesting. For as much as other teams lay off, and for as much as we holler for him not to shoot the Three , Juan is 2nd best on the team for three point shooting % and no it's not because he has attempted a lot less. - -Hunter leads in three point percentage at I think 51 %- - - then Juan is Second , he is shooting the three at a 45 % clip- - -making 9-20.

He has attempted the third most attempts, Hunter is first then Kevin then Juan is tied with Johnny and making 45 % - -he has to get more aggressive on the offensive end. I know he is a pass first PG but we are looking for that other guy to pick up more of the slack. Another thing Juan needs to improve on is FT %, you can't have your PG a guy who is going to be handling the ball a lot especially late , you can't afford for him to be shooting 61.5 % - -got to get better

Also some others that stick out , - - Austin Alexander , one of the top CB'S in the 24 class - -12 other P-5 offers , like Iowa , Michigan , USC , & Wisc to name a few of them - - I think Harry Stewart might be a nice surprise , good RB - then we have Jalen Todd, think he had just about everyone recruiting him - over 30 offers from many impressive Schools that we won the
battle.

I think Damani Maxson got a good chance to be very solid for us - Then I think a close race for the cream of the crop between two players. - - -Deshawn Warner , kid is an absolute stud, DE - had over 16 other offers and was stated one of the better edge prospects in the 24 class -if we put him on one side and then Dakyus Brinkley on the other could be holy terror, cause havoc on QB for some time to come. - Then the other one I think is up there with Warne for the best of class is our incoming QB. , had over 20 other offers, finished 2nd in the State of Michigan for Most Valuable player in the State, a lot thought he hsould of been THE most vluable player Farmer. - -word is that just another JD-6 only faster - had schools like Michigan , Kentucky , Ol Miss and others. - I'm pumped about these guys Farmeer, future looking bright.

Was listening to 365 sports, which is Baylor connected, and sounds like legal system is stepping in and putting restraining order that would now allow mutli yr transfer players to be eligible immediately without having to sit a year- - they mention one - -Raquean Battle at West Virginia is now immediately eligible to play - next hearing on this won't even be till the 27th of December and they feel even then will still be eligible to play now instead of having o sit a year. -- gonna seea lot of players now become immediatley eligible instead of having to wait- -- here we go geeez

kind of hard to believe just how far we have come. - -Remember when we were recruiting players who were not even p-5 offers and competing against smaller schools ? - -Now we going to war with some of the big boys for recruits and were winning a fair share of them.

We going against major league Schools now , schools like Iowa , Michigan , Auburn , Florida , Tenn , Georgia , Oklahoma , LSU , USC , Cal , Oreg St , Oreg , Washington , Penn St , Texas A & m - to name some. - - wasn't that long ago we couldn't even get these kid of recruits to acknowledge us - -now we knocking on the door s and they are not only answering the door were getting in - -Love this staff - -love the team and the turnaround -- -ROCK CHALK

Well they have worked their way around and looks like they are starting on the bowl -- getting it tore down , moving right along.

I think now I FOR SURE could be 100 % wrong on this but I was thinking they were lowering the filed so the fans could be closer to the field. - - -as far as increasing Capacity - - I'm just not sure. - -I think there was some talk actually that est capacity might be reduced some because of the type of seating ( Chair backs ) but again could be way out in left field on that. Also talk that kind of a wait and see interset and might be more capacity in phase two. - Have heard various numbers, most are 40,000 but heard up to 45,000 - -Take all this with a grain of salt because I might be WRONG on everything

I mean come on - - how petty is this ? -we have grown adults arguing over partnership of a hospital because a partner is the University of Kansas ? - -We are talking about the best possible health caare systems trying to provide for clients who need help/health care needs.

Dam come on and grow the hell up. - The Missouri Senator saying that there would be really good Missouri/ Liberty kids driving by a Jay Hawk every day - -Holy Crap - -REALLY ? are you really that low ? , these places are trying to give , to sreve John q Public with the best teams/staff of Doctors/Nurses they can provide and your worried about kids driving by the hospital every day and seeing a Jay Hawk, how imature is that ?

After reading this article Three Names for sure to keep an eye on even /track , these are 2025 recruits BUT was mentioned that ALL THREE strong possibilities to re classify to 2024.

Probably the most encouraging one , sounding like strong possibility would be, as we have , and was mentioned by an insider saying keep an eye on KU. heard his name mentioned before but he is 5 * - Darryn Peterson 6'6 SF from Arlington Virginia , just got through a little bit back signing a deal with Adidas -which Ku is their big name School , according to an insider when ask- -said keep an eye on KU.

Other one is Bryson Tiller , just visited us last weekend for the Missouri game and will be at the Indiana game this coming Saturday see us again although Indiana is also on the list , still another legit shot. - -6'9 PF from Atlanta

Third kid is Joson Shannon, didn't really give a lot on him just saying strong possibility of re classifying and KU heavy on him . - -ALL Three of these kids are strong towards re-classifying to 2024, and KU is right in the thick for all three

Then a fourth to watch is Bryson Tucker - -recently visited had been some talk about re classifying and joining KU mid Season but did't work out but wre still there with him also. - All four of these guy really talanted players

504 entries the 1st day portal opened. -- The Big 12 has taken a huge hit in the portal. I think his name is Jake Droll and host podcast called Locked on Big 12, he brings up some pretty good points about the portal.

He says it is gotten to the point that like the Big 12 is like a double AA farm system , these kids play here for a couple of yrs, then hit the portal and work the NIL to the bigger named schools - BIG & sec like Triple AAA - - ot to far off thinking that, can't beleive how many some Big 12 tems have lost.

Cinncinati - -24 players , - -K/State - -18 players - -Iowa State - 13 players - -TCU ,UCF , & Texas Tech all each have lost 12 players - -in total the big 12 so far hs lost 100 players to the portal -- just crazy

Update- -K/State just lost another one - big loss losing starting LB Savage - -WOW. Their fans think something going on in their program hmmmm , maybe

I think for the team as a whole for this point of the Season I would have to give a grade of a B. -- One of my biggest worries is our overall scoring total., The PPG is down , kind of worry later down the line we could be in trouble we go into one of our drought , we struggle to score. Another negative would be our team offensive rebounding if we don't score on our initial shot lots of time we are one and done, which just adds more pressure to score on the initial shot. --Defensively we are fine.

Now positives: I have love the way KJ has played , the kid is a stud , like has been mentioned positionless, guards very well , handles the ball well, has that floater down pretty good. He mentioned how Hunter and Parker & him practice that floater a lot. --no complaints on KJ for sure.

Parker has surprised me, he has done better then I expected, better rim protector then I imagined, rebounds fairly well - just overall seems quality , nothing fancy but just doesn't really make us worse, good back up to give Hunter a blow.

El Marko , has looked better these last couple of games, settling in, still ugly shot but quick, needs to work on his defense but it will come , still unsure if he is a fifth starter or not - - but question would be who do you replace him with ?

Furphy -think the kid is gonna be a good ball player in time, has shown he can hit the three, think about it , he is still suppose to be in High School right - -age wise ? - -needs work on his D but just young , still trying to adjust. he started behind the rest because of the late addition.

Timberlake , like others kind of a let down. I think it is so much in his head now/mental type thing his confidence is shot. I still believe he can be a worthy contributor when it's it's all said and done. - -Give him one good shooting game and it could be just like night and day. Believe it or not I think his struggles shooting the ball /his offensive game has also effected his defensive game struggles, I still think we can have hope.

Then Hunter -ya has had some monster games, pretty quiet 1st half against Missouri finished pretty well , really solid again if he weren't here not sure how we would feel that position and yet I can't pin point it but STILL for me just feels/looks kind of out of place, not the quickest guy in the house, kind of a liability away from the rim Defensively, - -I don't know. I DO KNOW though he sure is a blessing to have on the defensive boards and score. - I guess I'm just more use to having get out and run including our five like last yr when KJ t the 5 but hey believe me not complaining about Hunter yet there is something that just seems out of place.

Keiv - - -Kevin - -wll what can you say - -just a stud for us for sure that is all

Then we have Jamari, I myself got to say I think he has done well, better then a lot of people thought he would be I believe, I think he will be a solid 4 year player for us- -work some on his shot -- work more on his D but overall better then I thought from what I had heard

I'll just reply by saying you don't get voted MVP 2 for being a bad poor throwing bad decision making QB.- Most the throws you talking about throwing in the dirt or just off was because he was throwing the ball away to avoid losing sack yardage or Int from receivers running the wrong routes, you under value and under estimate just exactly how lucky you are to have a QB with the talent of Maholmes - -I can name about 26 other NFL franchises that would love to have Maholmes -you have a future Hall of Fame QB in your presence you need to appreciate him while you have him

After awhile that as a Qb is going to start to get under your skin. I have said from Day one this Season , if there is a reason that the Chiefs won't make it back to the super bowl it's going to be because of their receivers - -they don't have any,the only true target he can throw to is Kelce, and teams have started to taking him out of the game by doubling up and just daring the Chiefs to try and beat them with the rest that they have got. - - So they haven't been able to do that and teams are starting to not respect their game challenging the receives. Really no big del with me, just what I've seen and heard, Chiefs aren't even y 1st team but you can't put this on Pat - he has to get help putting to much pressure on him when they can't produce. - Tooney has cost them dearly. - - -- Scantling has killed them with dropped pass after dropped pass - -Receives running wrong routes , cutting their route off short. - No this is not on Patrick.

Good Morning everyone , I thought I just had to share this. I was going through my personal E-Mails this morning and seen this one , it was called team rankings, so I thought I would see what it was all about.

MAN , when I read this I thought WHAT ? - are you fricking kidding me ? - Thinking they needed to share whatever it was they had ben smoking cause they are some delusional
fools - I mean seriously ?

Let me share what they had to say about KU , they said that after yesterdays win over Missouri they now had KU projected to finish the Regular season at - -( 22-9 ) & - ( 11-7 ) in the Big Twelve. - you have got to be fricken insane. They gave us a 98 % of making the NCAA tourney - -ok that's fine - OH here you go they have us as the # 16th ranked team - - -SIXTEENTH ! ! ! - -WHAT / - -and projected 5th in the Big 12 Lmao.

They give us a 45 % chance to make the Sweet Sixteen - - a 10 % chance to make the Final Four & a 2 % chance to win the Title. - Holy Crap.

Some more good info , they give us a 7 % chance of getting a # 1 seed in the Big 12 post Season Tourney lol , they project us as a # 5 seed in the Big 12 Post Season Tourney - - & an 8 % chance to win the tourney - - OMG, how in the hell they coming up with these kind of numbes ? - So are they whacked or am i the one delusional ? - thought you might like to see this Crazy.

Arizona looked like the number one team when they played Wisconsin. That was a tremendous performance. Can’t wait yo get them in conference, finally a worthy opponent!
