The keys are rebounding and turnovers IMO. In the first game we absolutely dominated every category but those two. We had 15 turnovers and gave up 17 offensive rebounds both of which lead to wide open dunks and layups. I think our first shot defense had improved a ton the last few weeks now we have to improve the rebounds to take another step on that end.
ya we JUST HAVE to compet on the defensive end for defensive rebounds

Well , Well , Well . Found this pretty interesting , Was scrolling the Baylor boards , happened to be in their football site. A poster stated that he was at the KU /Okie State game the other night , & had been invited to a little gathering where Yormork was the speaker.
He said Yormork stated that there was a major announcement coming in probably like 30 days - - maybe 60--- BUT chances are 30 days.--- stated we ARE going West - wanting in all 4 time zones Didn't say how many teams from the PAC would be add OR who would be added , but we are gong West. - -Also said he was still very interested in adding Gonzaga for Basketball but on the fence.
Here is the REAL interesting part that he said. - - He stated that he wanted to take the Conference INTEERNATIONAL. - -wanted to play some games in Mexico City - -WOW if that were to happen that would be crazy
I've already been inner acting with Baylor fans and they already starting in about how we are favored by the Ref's and you can take it to the bank that Baylor will have twice as many fouls called -when you play at the Phog the opposing team will have to play 5 -8.
I told them sure maybe home teams do get SOME questionable call -but that is everywhere for every home team including Baylor. I told them hell even when w are the visitor fans are saying we get all the calls. - I said really even we have 3 starters foul out and every - -T call seems to be going THE OTHER way ? The blue bloods might get that 50/50 call , that Questionable call every now and then -- but ALL blue bloods seem to get that - -Duke , N Carolina , Kentucky , Gonzaga. . Sure the refs get caught up in the environment does it make it right? - - No , it doesn't but it happens.
Bottom line is Winners just win - -and losers make ecuses

Kentucky is in Starkville tonight in what is a must win game for both teams. Joey Buckets has MSU IN and UK OUT right now...
MSU is favored by 3. This MSU team is riding a 5 game winning streak and is much better than their 5-7 conference record. Kentucky just looks broken at the moment. One team feels like it is playing to get in, and the other is trying to stop the bleeding.
My brain tells me that Kentucky is going to snap out of it and go on a long win streak to finish the season. But I just don't think they have guys that can guard well enough to do it. Cal refuses to make an adjustment on the way UK defends the pick and roll, and thus they continue to give up easy buckets at a high rate.
Should be a fun one to watch. One with a "March Madness" vibe to it already, imo.

Well I think your hope will come true as they wan out of the PAC bad. Them and Arizona state pretty hot with the league and I know Arizona wants in the Big 12 and that could happen in the not to far distant future , Yomark wants to expand.- -
Tim Fitzgerald and Swain from the phog both say too that in the end think what your gonna see is probably 3 --- - 20 team conferences - the BIG - - THE SEC - - & the Big 12.
If that hppens your probably looking at the possibility of some ACC teams also trying to balance the time zones - more teams from the East Coast giving WV some teams with closer travel for them and UCF

Sorry for the slow reply. For one they beat ISU at ISU... where we got smoked. They've won 5 in a row...
They play some of the best D in our league. Our best way to get our offense rolling is to turn up our defense and get some easy runouts or scores on their D before setting up.

Correct Zuby was first big off the bench for a bit. Udeh wasn't even getting into games (then we learned he had his wisdom teeth removed). This new Ernest has grown a lot in the last 3 weeks. Like he listened to Bill Self motivational speeches on repeat while he slept and then woke up with the light on.
To go from not playing to being a big difference in why KU won both games last week is remarkable really. I just hope we haven't seen the last of it
I just think it's kind of the same thing we seen with Doke his freshman yr, then as the season progressed and then Soph yrs just kept getting better. - -Doke at times his freshman yr at times was all feet trip all over himself - not very much at all and we seen how that turned out.
You can see Udeh confidence building - -just moving a little better understanding the game a little more. - -Really all we need from him right now maybe 6 - - 8 points a game - -grab a few rebounds a block or two --hell we be good. - -I wouldn't about anything else other then lobs right now- - give him the off season to work on some kind of shot or inside game - I think he when it's all said and done will be just fine
