Wichita St. needs a win today for any upset to be relevant for their tournament hopes. If they don't win today at home against Tulsa, they will be flat out off the bubble regardless of what anyone else does this weekend or in their conference tournaments and they will have to win the AAC tournament to get the automatic bid. You can't claim a win against Oklahoma as your best win and get an at large bid.

As someone who lives in the Seattle area, I'm surprised how quickly the needle has gone from Prudence to Panic.
FYI, nearly all of the deaths in Washington state have been elderly patients with underlying conditions, most at a single suburban nursing home located nowhere near the Seattle U. campus. The actions by Chicago State and UMKC seem way over the top.

Consider the symptoms of this bug. Pretty mild and not even at the top of the list in flus. Most likely, the death rate will continue to drop and may even drop below some of the known flus.
What is a real concern is it is definitely a different kind of bug. Likely to help our immune systems after we survive the initial big push. 80% probably won't know they have it.
From what I see of it and what to be of concern is people can carry it a long time without symptoms and spread it. This is a big concern for the elderly, who face the ultimate risk.

Of course Doke wants to play. This is where Self needs to look at the risk/reward of the situation. KU is the favorites to win the national championship right now. KU will not win that title without a healthy Doke. Start Doke tomorrow and pull him at the first dead ball so he can get his recognition, then sit Doke until he's as healthy as can be. If that means sitting him until the NCAA Tournament, then sit him until the NCAA Tournament. Doke's health for the NCAA Tournament run is far more important than him proving his toughness because we know how tough he is.

Also. The cdc report yesterday reported several alarming things. one being that people tested positive after having already had the virus. There are questions whether some people have not been able to develop antibodies and/or can be infectious for a prolonged period of time.

I happen to agree. - -the Ladies are pretty young. MABE we can get a bid next year. They have been pretty hot , I think they have now won 4 out of their last 5. come close to having 5 league wins anyways as Oklahoma had to take us to overtime in another game.
I know they are not world beaters by any means BUT sure better then what we have had for some time. Maybe we do, kind of just like football - -let's see some kind of progress, and this year finally showed some. me too, we must be a pretty decent team anyways , I mean you shoot 41 % from the field and I think 26.7 from the 3 -- turn the ball over what 16-17 times and your big man gets hurt and only scores like 6 pints ? And you still win.

Ok, I'll be the 1st one to chill just a bit. I had seen this before , the ladies go out in preseason and do well then just lay eggs season , after season , after season.
Now yes true we not challenging for the title - -far from it , and I was giving the Coach some junk , as I know many others were. - - Now with saying that , how long has it been since the Lay Jayhawks has won 4 Conference games in a Season ? - - been awhile , so Congratulations ladies , my apologies. - -look like you HAVE made some progress.
