Dave is pretty consistent in his minutes. Gives effort, looks to shoot with any inch of freedom when receiving the ball in high post, 12 foot corner etc.
There's a clear drop off from Doke to him but he certainly finds ways to make the most of his minutes since becoming the backup.
Dave will progress. I look back and still remember again when asked Coach was ask who had improved the most during the off season. - -Coach didn't hesitate a second didn't bat an eye. - - He said David McCormack hands down , not even close - - interesting. He has improved but not sure about the hands down. lol.

I loved Wichita, easy to get around in, and lots to do - -if you can't find anything to do in Wichita - - - then your just not looking. - -Lived there and the surrounding area in between 13-14 years. te ONLY reason I left was after my divorce moved back here to be closer to other family. - -I don't have any problem with it.
The only one thing that wasn't to good was even though I didn't have any encounters but one thing was you don't mess with Law enforcement there. - Lots of accounts of Police brutality kind of some shaddy things going on. - Not gospel cause I never had encounter but plenty of accusations.
Wichita has it's good points - - has it's bad , just like any other city in the USA.

Hopefully Ochai just has to weather through some big games before he starts wearing "big boy pants." He was trying to not make mistakes on offense and that means he wasn't in time with the pace of the game. We've seen him when he "let his hair down" a bit and he can bring plenty to our offense. I'm not holding my breath that he will get this figured out this year. The games will just get bigger and he may struggle through the big games. Or he might not. What I do feel comfortable with is he will, one day, be a solid contributor more often than not.
It's hard to beat down on players that are so young.
Speaking of young players... that Doke played an unreal game! I hope he can do that when we play teams with better post defense.
We did come into this game with a specific strategy. Very heavy focus on pick and roll offense right through the paint. Almost had the choreography of our chop. Not sure we can get away with that level of success from here on out, but it sure worked well against one of the best defenses in the country... just not a great post defensive team. I completely embrace using this when we can. It's an offense that focuses on all the right things; Devon and Marcus driving the paint, Doke scoring off of lobes, and eventually it opens up Isaiah, Christian and Ochai for the trey. Also creates some trey opportunities for Devon. This is a much better way to approaching feeding the post, through focus on a motion offense. I'm loving watching Devon and Marcus taking their man off the dribble. Sometimes Isaiah and Ochai can do it, too. This would be a great way to get Ochai a bit more offense because he can finish in the lane and could use something to bump up his esteem.
I'm not so sure that it was as much of it being Baylor's not so good interior post defense as it was just the size/mass/strength of Doke. I don't think it matters much really who is trying to defend Doke when he pins an opponent down low , and gets low post position established. - -Doke gets it down low like that , it's over. I truly don't think that there is anyone who can actually stop him when he gets it there. The guy is just a beast , the transformation he has done with his body is just incredibile - - -so dam solid, I know it's wrong and I would be on the bench but if I'm trying to defend him and he gets the ball in that position - - - I'M OUT lol - let me step out your way big boy lol.
And I certainly hope people don't think I'm trying to talk crap on Ochai I think he is a very good player, just that I guess it's more about him still growing and has inconsistent times - -he is going to be fine , just sure could use him to show better in big games - still say there is going to be a time where we need him to drain a couple of three's play bigger in the tourney. I'm still not convinced we can go with him putting up a goose egg if we are deep in the tourney a lot more at stake

I watched SDSU and I didn't see #1 seed but I also think they played terrible on offense. I think I need to watch a few more of their games to see what their A game looks like. The problem outside the Top 4 teams from this weekend is that nobody deserves a #1 seed except maybe Dayton. It seems like they are doing all they can to keep Dayton from moving up in the polls. Maryland was on a big surge but just lost on the road to Ohio St. Duke has played nobody for most of the season. The gap from KU/Baylor/Zags/SDSU/Dayton I think is significant.
Agree .You watch though the NCAA Tourney people if they keep going they being ( Kentucky ) -I think they are ranked # 7 these people will do all they can if UK keeps winning as they are 1st in the SEC now - -they will try their best to try and slide them in as a # 1. - and like you say if they can't get them in then and/or they will try to get Duke in and let them play on the East Coast - - AGAIN

@jayballer73 I agree with @Crimsonorblue22, the dude had a bad game on offense. He was solid defensively and had 5 rebounds. I mentioned this on another thread. He is super young and hardly a sophomore. He didn’t start playing til late January last season. This was likely the biggest game of his young career and a learning point. In the tournament really need him, Braun and Moss to play consistently. We can ill afford for all 3 of those guys to be off on the offensive end. Also it’s Ochai Agbaji.
YA , I know I can never spell his name right. Yet people always seem to know who I'm talking about Thing is that it hasn't been just this game though. There has been other games throughout this year this has happened , we can't have that in the tourney

I would love to have the Championship out right BUT West Virginia is headed the wrong way. The problem they have is the same problem that has plagued them through out this year - - - actually the same problem from last year. - - They have to much of a problem scoring the ball , not very good shooters - - long scoring droughts. Against Baylor even at home I think they are in trouble.
We have two games that could be what's the word I'm looking for ? - -could be tedious - - probably not the right word but if we don't have it strapped up we could bein for a dog fight. - -those would be K-State because of things that happened this year, and then ad just be a rival to them even though I don't really consider it a rival anymore for it to be a rival the other team has to win a game more then once every three four years lol. But with what happened when we played earlier - -their dam fans and being rivals even though we are much better we got to be ready.
Then the last game of the conference Season - - Tech - -they will be jacked, fans will be jacked got to keep ol what's his name Ramsey? from just going off. He had a pretty decent game against us. Holyfield played well against us , then their guard can't think of his name - -got to be ready. - -However the way w are playing still gotta like our chances - - just play right ?

Baylor had NO answer for Doke. - -You know I'll admit I have said over and over that Doke would not play in the NBA , cause he is a past type NBA player. NBA big guys now like to get out in open space. I stayed up and watched the Gonzaga game last night against BYU. I think I could think of some other teams I'd rather play in the tourney then BYU.
We beat them early in the Maui tourney 71-56 however they didn't have Childs then. - -He went off last night for 28-10 - -they shoot 43 % from the 3 Haws is a pretty decent player, would rather play them late. - -Sure I think the way we are playing we could win - but if I had my choice let's hold off till later on that - -really good 3 point shooting teams always make me cringe. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
