@BShark ya pretty much agree , I mean he is not the typical modern Big man. - -He has really no outside shot - -you just don't see very many at all that camp in the lane and shoot that little 3-5 foot hook shot or mini jumper.

Not trying to put Doke down- -But I men modern day big boys are taking the ball away from the hoop these days. @BShark I remember a pretty good Juco player -not even from a really good program that just gave KU fits. - -Juco from Iowa State had some really big games against us - can't remember his name but did quite well I think

I think there is actually. I can't think of a JUCO player that has had a huge impact for a good team recently. Self hasn't went that route in a long time.

However on the recruiting front - -this class of 2019 yes it's looking like it, However the following year I'm not that sure. All you have to do is look at Arizona/Louisville . - -They got hammered when this 1st came out from a recruiting standpoint. - Louisville - lost all their recruits and Lost Pitino . Old stumpy took a major hit too , sure they kept Ayton- -that while ordeal O think is still up in the air--yet to come - -but BOTH have came back this year the 2nd year and both have had really GOOD recruiting yrs for 19.- -No reason to believe KU won't do the same thing. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Reading the article about JRE'S decision last night from the LJW, what Coach Self had to say makes some sense I reckon,

He said after the trail when he was visiting the recruits was having to di damage control. - -He said YES there were questions asked about relating from the trial, and there was only some questions he could answer fully - -some things he just couldn't disclose- I guess because of the on going investigation now from the NCAA I guess.

So if he couldn't give complete answer to some of these - -that then would be awfully hard to convince someone on selling their program. - Might be just enough to push them the other way , which like Bshark and I both have said , people need to realize that YES this FBI crap IS having a real impact on recruiting. - -Coach Self has even mentioned as much - -and here is a news flash -- it isn't over yet. - - Hurt IS NOT coming here - you just sit back and watch, I promise you just like I'm sure it had an impact on JRE - -so much the same thing with Hurt. - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

For what its worth, the Packers traded Montgomery to Baltimore today. They are getting a 7th round pick in 2020 for him. Pretty clear that GB wanted to move him and wasn't worried about what they might get back.

Man it's starting to get really depressing looking here for any 'thing positive on recruiting. I mean I know you guys are just posting things you have read and heard. - I think the reason it's so depressing to think we are losing recruits that we all thought we were sitting good on
