The common denominator in the inner city ghetto that I lived in was single parents.
@mayjay Iām not trying to insult you buddy but logically cargo shorts donāt seem to fit the mold for jogging and Iāve literally never seen anyone jogging in them. Maybe itās a northern thing but in Kansas or Georgia with the humidity you had best have a ton of gold bond power down there or it aināt gonna feel too good lol.
@mayjay the point went light years over your head. No people donāt typically donāt go jogging in cargo shorts, to say otherwise is a lie. The point was the mainstream media portrayed as random rednecks hunting random minorities. Did they hunt him down? Sure they did but it wasnāt a random deal. They took the law into their own hands and should be punished accordingly.
@benshawks08 the young man that was gunned down in Georgia was caught on the people that shot him cameras for trespassing several times and identified by his mother. Which doesnāt dismiss them murdering him but a far cry from the mainstream media report of him just being hunted while jogging. People donāt go running in cargo shorts man common on. I refuse to comment further, good day sir.
@benshawks08 defunding militarization is a good step. Disbanding the entire police department is quite possibly the stupidest thing Iāve ever heard of. Call your support team when someone is breaking into your house or when your being assaulted lmao. They couldāve defunded and put money towards a more diverse police force, and proper training. Police training or lack there of is an issue. So having some random neighborhood watch guy with little to zero training is better?? Stuff like what happened down in Georgia to that kid trespassing will become the norm. People will take the law into their own hands. Several things couldāve been done logically, guess itās back to the old west...
@Kcmatt7 haha, spot on man!! I know someone that was a former business partner with the Koch brothers. He claims theyād put their momma on the street if they profited a nickel from it. Always claims they are crooks.
@Texas-Hawk-10 wow, never act surprised what idiots will do once given power. The Democratic Party claims to love BLM but have done little to improve conditions in the inner cities. Most of these police brutality case are in democrat led states, cities and majority counsel leaders.
@Crimsonorblue22 I heard the same, will be interesting
@Crimsonorblue22 be careful and donāt go out if you donāt have too. Theyāre plenty of good people marching for a cause but others are set on destruction.
@Crimsonorblue22 did anything happen in hutch?
@benshawks08 I just donāt like the random twitter ones of people sharing what they heard or assume. As we are taking about seeing both Antifa and you seeing white supremacy groups. All we can do is speculate, no one knows for sure. Thatās why I said it could be anyone.
@benshawks08 Iām not sure, I donāt personally follow any politicians on social media. Thatās why I say it could anyone paying these people. Could the Democrats trying to find a way to win in November or George Soros. Iād logically say itās less likely to be a white supremacy group or one that wants Trump to be in for four more years. What they are doing doesnāt help that cause. Could be the government wanting martial law. We may never know the truth.
@benshawks08 I wasnāt meaning you directly, I just thought some the articles you shared were crap, that was the come on man lol. Iām not gonna argue tho, you are entitled to believe whatever someone posts or not. Like I tell everyone the internet is proven to be more fake than true. Anyone can write up anything and claim to know something they donāt. I refuse to back forth with people anymore, Iāll respect your opinion even if I disagree with it buddy.
Maybe the common ground that we need to move forward in this is the fact we all agree that the police were in the wrong. Iāve seen not a single person of any race defend these guys. Police brutality is a problem, for several groups of people (ask most Motor cyclists in clubs). People will be quick to point out that more whites are killed by police each year and thatās true. But percentage wise the number for Minorities is higher based on how many more whites live in this country. Think of it as an endangered species of bird, we must work hard to ensure the survival of said species. But it doesnāt mean we are gonna go after all the others. Black lives matter is standing up to save the endangered, not downgrading the rest.
@Crimsonorblue22 not sure to be honest but someone is trying tear this country apart. All the looters that were arrested in MN were outta state, some 15 hour drives away. Definitely something fishy going on. The average person canāt afford to just up and drive that far unless someone gives them money or in most cases it sounds like they are being bused in. In most the videos Iāve seen itās white folks wearing Antifa shirts and what not. One video I saw appeared to have no construction in the area but a pallet of bricks sitting on the side of the road like someone just had them delivered. I trust no one as per usual, always something crazy in an election year.
@Crimsonorblue22 someone is paying these guys to travel and loot.
@FarmerJayhawk ya the left goes from only cops shouldāve have guns to we donāt need cops and back and forth a dozen times. @benshawks08 all Iāll say is come on man.
The militarization of the police is an issue. There are police forces with tanks and armored vehicles. That doesnāt seem like the Jedi way of keeping peace. The more muscle you have, the more you want to flex and use it. Several incidents in history have shown, showing up to already bad situations with with more fire power only leads to more blood shed.
I believe a lot of what this saying, not everyone thatās white has privilege.
@Crimsonorblue22 Biden is liar and god awful handsey, I wouldnāt be shocked if his accusers were telling the truth. I personally think just about all politicians are liars.
@Crimsonorblue22 most of the republicans havenāt been proven either. If you are gonna denounce opposition have the guts to do the same to your own party.
@benshawks08 yes the system is messed up. But there canāt be any gray areas. Either you support racism and sexual assault or you donāt! I donāt!
@Crimsonorblue22 Biden and Clinton are both sexual predators, they get no flack for it. Both have also made racist comments. If you are against that stuff, I canāt see why youād support either. Itās always the lesser of two evils friends.

When itās okay for your political party to be racist, rape and sexual assault others it really shows that you just donāt care.
@Crimsonorblue22 Yes I wasnāt meaning to insinuate that all cops are bad, one of my good friends is a State Trooper. Iām just saying they are a business not a non profit, they have to make money.
We continue to militarize the police and allow them to do as they please. They often get little to no repercussions for their actions. Only a fool believes the police are actually here to protect and serve, it is a business that makes money. The same goes for the prison system, they donāt want to rehabilitate anyone. They want you back so they collect more money. @BShark i usually enjoy most of MLKs opinions and teachings, Iām just not sure that pertains to a ton 60 years later. I honestly donāt think this was race triggered. Just an A$$hole cop thinking heās tough with 3 others. They all 4 should without question be charged with murder if there is any decency left in our judicial system.
@Crimsonorblue22 Iām doing the same because of my kiddos. Better safe than sorry. @approxinfinity I agree they change their tune weekly.
The CDC has came out and said itās not as contagious thru items. Which like I said had to be the case with Dillionās and a McDonaldās worker getting it near me. Sometimes having logic and common sense is a curse in this day and age.
Coach Sutton has always been one of our most respected adversaries. Not only with his strong connection and mentoring of Self. But Iāll always remember him running down the sideline in AFH to shake Hinrichās and Collisonās hand on senior night. RIP in peace coach weāll miss ya.
@approxinfinity I believe they diagnosed her thru blood work but yes it may have not been Covid-19 but now the same doctor says it couldāve been because they werenāt checking stuff that close at that time.
@Crimsonorblue22 I wasnāt at that doctor appointment but yes they told us she had it. Haha hey there are some nice sports bars lol.
@Crimsonorblue22 Several Bars are going to go outta business, have a friend whoās sports memorabilia shop is outta business. Several restaurants have closed and wonāt reopen around here. Smaller book stores, barber shops and others have had trouble all sorts of small businesses wonāt be here anymore.
I think the so called experts are looking dumber by the day. The death rate is considerably lower than expected and it seems to be not so easily spread. In the county next to me a McDonalds worker and 2 Dillionās workers had the virus. But they have had a grand total of 26 cases over all and 22 recoveries with no deaths (only a few from said sources). It just canāt be as easily spread or hundreds if not thousands wouldāve contracted if that was the case.
The recent knowledge about the Kawasaki disease makes me think my family has already had it. In January we were all sick and my daughter tested positive for the coronavirus. The doctor said it most likely wasnāt the same strain as the China one. A few days later after weeks of troubles our daycare providers daughter was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease after fighting the same symptoms as us. I still am taking precautions with my kiddos and not going out besides work and grocery pick ups. But half of me is waiting Tattoo to ride by welcoming everyone to fantasy island. Hundreds/thousands of people are at the big box stores and coming in/out of restaurants everyday, why canāt small businesses open? More proof that big business runs the show in this country. Wal mart and amazon will most likely hit record profits this year. Jeff Bezos is on schedule to become the richest man alive in the next few years š¤.
Edit: Thatās before you discuss Bill Gates and is shady investment into healthcare.
Sounds like quite the journey my friend. Cancer is becoming more and more common. Not to get off course or make a hat outta foil but I recommend watching āThe Devil We Knowā on Netflix. Itās about duponts cover up after poisoning water sources and chemicals found in everything from carpet and furniture to popcorn bags. As a guy that has lost several family members to Cancer and having a mom that is a surviver it does make me think.
Teaching is a tough job especially in lower income districts. My wife taught in the ghetto of St Louis for several years for peanuts. She stopped after taking heat for failing kids that never came to class. The superintendent and principal wanted her to give at least 50% on all assignments regardless if they were even turned in. Nowadays parents are on the teachers about grades, not the student. I could easily see me struggling at that profession. Iād probably tell someone their kid is a lazy a$$ and get fired. Hopefully they see your value and continue as your employer.
Good that you are running and working on being healthy. That alone I think will serve you well against cancer. Iām trying to take a little better care of myself these days and recently purchased a bike. I canāt run much anymore, I have plantar fasciitis in both my feet that will flair up if I run more than about 40 yards and two bad knees that concrete doesnāt help either.
I donāt think itās okay to be to be rude but Iām not sure Iād like being constantly nagged in public for autographs and pictures. They always say you donāt want to meet your heroās because they will disappoint you.
@Texas-Hawk-10 they got plenty of negative press from places outside of ESPN and Fox for UNCs fake classes but it disappeared over night because most of the major sports outlets have let it die.
@Texas-Hawk-10 the NCAA has seemed unwilling to pursue Carolina schools in the past. North Carolina Amnesty Association is what anyone outside of NC calls it. I hope your right but will only believe it, when I see it.
@Texas-Hawk-10 they will ignore it, always have and always will.
They are Nike, absolutely nothing will come of this.
@Kcmatt7 Nothing wrong with that and itās probably the safest way. My wife and I married in front of like 8 people. Besides most of us enjoy the reception more then the wedding!!
@Texas-Hawk-10 very well said buddy!
@stoptheflop Carter was just so up and down. Looked like a Heisman hopeful against BC, Tech and Texas. Then looked terrible against Coastal and TCU, his inconsistency was a huge factor last season. I think the defense will be improved with a fair share of guys returning. We will miss Bryce and Mike on the back end. Iām pretty excited about Prox and Potter at linebacker. The biggest question mark will be the offensive line and QB. I feel like that has been a question since MM left every year. I think this Covid 19 hurts schools like us that need improvement more so than a top tier group with 4 and 5 star guys. We just need to break that damn 3 win barrier and show some improvement 2021 should be a team thatās capable of making a bowl.
@BShark I agree that he is a little over hyped. People act like heās a great defender, which to this point in his career just isnāt true. He does do a good job of coming from the weak side to get a block from time to time. Mitch is great kid, Iāve met him and Iām glad heās here. His minutes probably have as much to do with Silvioās play as anyone elseās.
Wondering if I should buy and sell about half of them on stub hub, could probably turn a profit. The wife may not like it tho lol.
@Texas-Hawk-10 A good point, the Bulls drafted Jordan, Pippen and Tony. Iāll also add that Luc Longley and Steve Kerr were cheap because they were considered busts before Chicago. Both guys averaged 20, 15 mpg and less than 6 ppg respectively before the bulls picked them up. Pippen was a big question mark going into the draft, dude was a manager on a D2 team and grew like 5 inches one summer, then got the chance to play. But it was a big question mark if he could go toe to toe with the NBAs best. The closest comparison to the Bulls of the 90s is the warriors. They drafted guys like Green, Thompson and Curry that most teams pasted on and didnāt think they could play at that level. It will be interesting to see how the warriors are next season with having paid big bucks to keep Thompson and Curry, not to mention the big money contract Wigs has with them.
@justanotherfan I think Pippenās contract was indeed a huge role but he wanted the long term guaranteed money. That contract at the time made him the 122nd highest paid player. So it was junk then as well. I think players are too greedy in most sports especially the no cap baseball. Iād be fine with making 18 million and playing on a good team rather than 38 million a year like some of the guys nowadays. Jordan only made 93 million as a player and wasnāt the highest paid at any point in his career to my knowledge. He took more of a Tom Brady approach and one I hope Mahomes does. The money these guys can make by marketing is as much or more than playing if you can play your cards right.
@Texas-Hawk-10 I like it, dislike that itās not yearly and still 5 years away. I really miss the old B12 days. I believe we had the second and third longest uninterrupted rivalries on this side of the Mississippi with them and Nebraska.
Watching again tonight, the good or even great teams/players Jordan kept from getting titles speaks volumes to me. Think about Jazz teams with Malone and Stockton, good Pacer teams with Reggie Miller and Smits, Knickās teams with Ewing, Oakley and Starks, Payton and Kemp in Seattle, Barkley with Suns and Clyde the glide while he was in Portland. A good amount of HOFers right there. Thatās something he will always have over LeBron IMO. He couldnāt get past the Celtics so he got one to join him in Miami with 2 other all stars. You think about the Celtics, Pistons and Lakers battles in 80s could you imagine Bird or Magic or Thomas joining up with the enemy? LeBron has played with 3 times as many all stars in his career compared to MJ.
@BShark Is that really a surprise at this point lol
I havenāt watched it yet but by all accounts Alex is a really good dude.
