It’s definitely a situation that I hope can be resolved before it leads to war. I’d lie low for the time being and hope they won’t try to retaliate again as @approxinfinity stated. The republicans want war as they always do for some reason, while Democrats blow hard are bombing people tho Obama was a part of bombing 7 middle eastern countries in his tenure. Classic American political game on who can be the most hypocritical. @DoubleDD I agree with your take giving Iran a plane full of cash and hoping for the best. It’s similar to what Clinton tried to do with North Korea. In history the strategy hasn’t faired well, Ancient Rome fell because it had its hands in too many places, then tried to pay enemies to not attack. Spoiler they attacked and did what they wanted anyway. I question any war this country has been in since World War 2, we all knew the stakes and why we were there. Every war since then has been a waste of lives and money.

I think Braun will get drafted as a senior, he’ll turn into Svi 2.0. He’s already faster, will be stronger and will have a better all around game by that time IMO. Ochai will be drafted as soon as he wants to go. But I believe both him and Dotson should stay til next season. Both guys project late first round at this point and that’s too risky IMO because only first rounders are guaranteed a contract. I think guys like BMac and Henry could’ve improved their game staying but the were projected lottery and were picked in lottery. Meaning they probably wouldn’t have gotten more than a pick or 2 higher had they stayed.

Smart is probably gone after this season baring a crazy postseason run. There are several bigs that I wish were here rather than the ugly burnt orange of Texas. Prohm isnt as good as I thought he was coming in. That team has fell off after Fred got them back.
The first 2 years with Freds guys like Monte Morris and Jamil McKay Prohm went 47-23, finished as high as second in the B12 having winning records both years and a sweet 16 appearance making the tournament both years. In the 2 1/3 years since he is 43-35, with a .500 record in conference as his best and missing the tournament in 2018. I don’t think his seat is hot yet but it will be if they can’t make the tournament this season for the second time in three years.

@Marco I enjoy when we can get some local guys. It’s hard sometimes not only because of the talent level at times but kids want to play right away and I don’t blame them.

I mean no disrespect to these young men and glad they handled the situation. I have talked a few friends down in my day and it’s not a fun situation. But I won’t sugar coat what a terrible place I believe most of Missouri to be in general from my personal experiences.

Marcus will definitely guard Haliburton, I wouldn’t look into their shooting numbers with a lot of confidence. They will probably improve thru out the year and as they always do, shoot lights out on us.

I’d bet money Doke gets drafted, size isn’t coachable and he’s slimmed down making him quicker, better at shot blocking. He goes early in the second round.

@BeddieKU23 more than likely, Nike has more money than Adidas and isn’t scared to hush people up with it.

Dotson was ahead of where Mason and Graham as a freshman but he played considerably more then they did. I expected a good jump from this season and it just hasn’t happened. It would be better to compare him an Aaron Miles since they both started from the get go. Aaron was great because he seldom forced shots and got everyone involved in the offense. Aaron only averaged 9 points as an upperclassman but only shot the ball 7 or 8 times a game. If he was forcing up twice as many shots as Dotson is, he probably would’ve averaged 4 or 5 more points. I think Dotson just needs to slow down a bit and look for others before he forces up a shot against 3 guys taller than him in the lane. If 3 guys are in front of you, someone is wide the hell open. I’d switch him to the 2 guard for a few stretches and see how it goes. Some guys shoot the ball better as an off guard, never know til you try. I personally think he’s a mid second rounder and has a fair chance to stay.

@Crimsonorblue22 asinine, we shot 30 free ones to their 22, with them fouling us twice on purpose. I thought it was physical game but a good officiated one.

@Texas-Hawk-10 very true, this team has potential to be great on that end of the floor. But KSU always sucks on offense and will go on droughts pretty much every game. Last year is hard to tell because of much better we were with Doke and Vick with his head outta his rear end. We had Dedric shooting it 14-20 times to just get 20 points.

After today’s game, I’d burn Wilson’s redshirt if he’s able to go in the next few weeks to help find some bench production.

@BShark agreed but they’ve had teams they didn’t make dance beat us before and we all know it’s their super bowl. It should be a 30 point game here and 15 point game there but I’ve seen us coming into that building asleep too many times in the past hand full of years.

@KirkIsMyHinrich we will struggle @ KSU, probably worse than most years because usually they are solid defensively but we are good offensively. Last season was an L because we sucked on offense, this year we look a little better but will struggle against defensive teams like we did today. Has a second round exit written all over it to me.

A good win on paper and we finally finished a tight game. But man that was ugly to put it nicely. The 6 bench points are frustrating, Moss was a ghost with Tristan and Silvio has major issues. I’m not sure where to even start with him, air balling a 4 foot shot that’s wide open. Would suck to get sanctions over a guy that’s only been effective in 3 games in his entire career. Dotson continues to force up shots in the lane instead of kicking it out, resulting in turnovers and his 15/45 shooting performance the last 3 games. If we want to win anything this season he has to play better end of story. The effort put forth in the rebounding department this afternoon was elementary at best, out rebounded 44 to 30. Rarely does a team shoot the way we did and rebound like that to win the game. Not sure if it’s just me but the last 5 or 6 years more often than not we don’t look ready to play. Not sure if the guys are out partying til 2 am or what but we had no energy or give a damn for the first 15 minutes today.

I feel like we should be down 15 so I’ll take it.

If we can keep it single digits @ half, we will win.

@MNJayhawk Hanni is a great guy, just not a fan of his voice. Bob Davis was one of the best to do it, maybe I’m bias but him and Max when I was a kid were easily the radio commentators I’ve ever heard. Not even a close second IMO.

@HighEliteMajor I think every team gets a few calls at home. I just hate how it’s big news when happens in Lawrence but not in Durham, Lexington or Chapel Hill.

4 of these guys were Mangino’s, all offensive linemen. Shows the lack of recruiting in one of the most important areas of the team.

As I said I enjoy Dick more these days, maybe it’s Walton’s shenanigans or Fran’s stupidity. I bet we will miss him when he’s not around, I wish some of our fans would be nicer to him. Saw tons of hate on Twitter and FB after yesterday’s game.

@chriz I personally would move Self in and Izzo out. He has 3 final fours compared to 2 but Self has won more games and more conference titles. That has to count for something. If he had a title or 2 or 3 more final fours, I’d be okay with it. I probably like Dickie V more than I used too but he doesn’t care much for us compared to Dook, UNC or UK. Even tho they haven’t done a ton more than us despite having better recruiting classes pretty much every year. You won’t win the Kentucky Derby on mule.
