I thinking that if the core of Dotson, Grimes, Ochai, Garrett and David are here 2 years from now, thats a dangerous dangerous team my friends. As I said I don't have any expectations going forward this year and next I think we are solid depending on who stays and goes but will look like the team thats a year away.
Just watched Embiid spank Lebron and the Lakers. Had 37 points and 14 rebounds, the Lakers dont even look like a playoff team right now.

I've seen them play another one if it's a big game right before tip.
The last several years I've only seen the different one and it isn't as good. Haven't seen the one HEM posted in years.

He looks like a Kirk Hinrich type of player to me just a little taller. Hes listed at 6'6 or 6'5 depending on the site. I like him at the 3 spot, I dont have huge expectations for his freshman year but I bet hes playing good minutes by the time hes a sophomore.
I think he'll end up a 3 year player, hopefully he doesn't get big headed (doubtful).

They really need to change the intro video back to the decent music. The one they about 5 years ago was great, this newer one doesnt fire me up much.
We gave him some love when he fouled out, these last two games are hopefully his coming out party.
I'm a little worried that we may need to win out at this point. But at the same time KSU has @TCU, @KU, @Texas and a home game with ISU left. I would absolutely shocked of they didnt lose half of those teams. Just have to hope we are one of them. Sad to admit but KSU may be the best team in this conference this year.
I wouldn't have picked Baylor had I known 2 guys were out. Smh the basketball gods are on KSUs side this year. Texas wont be easy for them but I'd rather they lost both lol.

@Texas-Hawk-10 Very true, but that's why him getting 10-15 minutes as he did today is important for his development IMO. He had a couple of easy dunks but fumbled them away. He decent on defense. KJs defense late first half was about as pathetic as I've ever seen.
Of course KSU gets us and Baylor with several injuries, smh lucky turds.
Got us a win and always nice to be back at the Fieldhouse. I thought it was a good team win, we struggled to grab rebounds and make shots in the first. The Fieldhouse was quiet as a Monday morning church during the first aswell. Really don't have much to complain about, Moore and KJ were not effective but I was pleased with the other guys. Grimes seemed to be more engaged and big David got some minutes.
I'll be at the game to help restore some order in town. I think the unis are sweet.

@Kcmatt7 Well I have an Idea as to why the NCAA isn't saying anything til april, MONEY. If some of these top programs are gonna get hammered, they don't want the tournament numbers to suffer at this point. That to me is the interesting point, several top teams have players or former players on several lists that have been released. It would bad business for brackets not to include Kansas, Duke, UK and Arizona. Personally I think Arizona is trying to find the right fall guy by firing all these assistants. Whats crazy is it hasn't hurt their recruiting as it appears that it hurt ours. Right now Arizona has the number 1 class for next year.

They are like that because most D1 athletes have girls all over them since they have been on campus. A friend of a friend was on the Orange bowl team and we partied up there a few times with him and some of the football guys. Let me tell you every girl in that place was on them like mud on a pig.
It's very interesting that he is still coaching and the NCAA has pretty much said wait til April. I hope Zion and Dook cruise to the NC as it look like they will and it get vacated for him. Very wishful thinking tho lol
Supposedly a players only meeting took place Wednesday, Which doesn't mean we are going to win the title lol but it could be a good sign of these guys coming together thru adversity.
Grimes just needs some love, dude is good kid he just too sped up. Maybe Vick being gone will help him in some way.
I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around where Vick is mentally. Self gives him a second chance and praised him repeatedly for his effort in camp and early in the season. If he could play consistently as he did early both this year and last, he would a first round pick. It would be a win win for all parties involved, He has a daughter maybe he is having issues with her, him quiting would basically put his NBA dreams on life support if there isn't a lajit reason.
@HighEliteMajor You are a 100% correct and the rumor is prob true but I just don't like throwing one of our own under the bus continuously til we know a little more.
I agree with @BShark I don't think Self is notorious for recruiting bad kids, I don't believe it for a minute. Yes we have had a few bad apples and so has just about every other program at any level. Is it Self's fault that Doke and Garrett are injured? Now you could argue that some of the SDS situation is Self's fault, I still think we have 1 or 2 losses to date if we have all of our players that we were supposed to. Ochai, Dotson and Grimes are all freshman, they aren't getting into trouble, they are playing like freshman at times. Garrett, Moore and KJ are just sophomores, they don't have loads of experience either. The only character issues on this team could be Vick. But I'll say it again for those in the back, WE DON"T KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPEN CUT THE GUY SOME SLACK!! At least until we know more, should change the name of this post to reasons to hate Vick.

Well, I called this unfortunately. I think that may have diminished any hope of a B12 title or run in March. The distractions for this team seem to grow almost daily. Lets not harp on Vick until we know more. He could've had a death in the family or something along those lines.
2-0 so far this week with my predictions, come Baylor Saturday and we are right back in it. Would be a game behind Baylor, KSU and ISU with two home games vs Baylor and KSU left. We can do it just can't afford a slip up right now.
To make matters worse, our girls just blew a 7 point lead in the final 2 minutes and got beat by 10 in OT by KSU. I only watched late but KSU hit a 3 on an obvious walk and had a and 1 without being touched. Don't know how the rest of the game was called. This team would be on the bubble if they learned to finish games out.
Lol worried about Greenes dunk from 3 years ago, wow get a life.
If Les would've had this team last year in the spring thru the summer, we won 7 games IMO. Hell Beaty won 3 and gave away 3 (Nichols, KSU and Texas).
@Crimsonorblue22 That's why I have said he is gone, people think he could improve so much. I don't think he can athletically, He's a 4 year junior in the second half of the season, what you get is what you see. Defense against 3s have been terrible all year and it's just not gonna change at this point unfortunately.

@nuleafjhawk Most of the KSU fans I know are blowing up social media, like it's their 17 championship in a row. But I give them a good chuckle that they only won by 7 with us down 2 starters and turning it over 23 times.
I suppose it's good that opposing coaches and the commentators are getting on the NCAA about the ruling.
