I think Mahomes is a complete joke personally, the chiefs don't have a enough big receivers for his just throw it game. I guarantee Mahomes throws considerablely more picks than Smith.

Sure glad it don't cost the same to watch a game at home as it does to watch it at AFH.

Border War to start back up?? • Oct 20, 2017 04:22 PM

@Kcmatt7 kinda stinks in a way because I'm not buying a practice game for $40. I know I'm a tight ass but I've already donated to hurricane relief twice and that's just too high. I suppose someone will buy it and it will raise more money ig.

Chorfs • Oct 20, 2017 04:20 AM

@Kcmatt7 I love Berry but the dudes spend more time on the IR than on the field. That's why they should've gotten a better back up and drafted some DBs.

USA Today Coaches Poll • Oct 20, 2017 04:11 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 I'd bet a hefty amount Mizzou is a bubble team at best and probably finishes no higher than 5th or 6th in the usually 2 deep SEC conference. Martin has done nothing but under achieve and to be honest probably pays the hell outta recruits idk how else you get top guys with track record of losing and not staying in one place long. Remember Ben Simmons was pretty good too but couldn't get LSU into the dance a few years back in that same joke of a conference. They went 2-14 in conference last year and 8-24 overall, it would be one of the best turnarounds in history. That and UK a few years back when they missed the dance had the #1 and I believe 3 top 10 players and still couldn't get in, that's a lot to put on the Porter kids IMO.

Chorfs • Oct 20, 2017 03:59 AM

Kansas City had better get their secondary figured out fast, they are extremely lucky Cooper had 5 drops most of which were wide open or the game ain't even close down the stretch. They stink at tackling and just look small and underpower in the front 7.

Remember Missouri has done some good things like invent the tooth brush, because if it was invented anywhere else it'd be a teeth brush. If meth and whiskey were vitamins people from Missouri would be the healthiest alive. Missouri where the men are men and the sheep are scared.

Not sure if anyone is watching KC currently but former KU standout CB Dexter Macdonald has started the second and done a solid job thus far.

@Kcmatt7 what is vpn and how do I change it.

Texas Christian Horned Frogs • Oct 20, 2017 12:42 AM

@wissox I can't really think of any other reason to be in prime time lol. Actually going into the year TCU wasn't supposed to be this good and KU wasn't supposed to be this bad, couple that with tight games since TCU joining the conference someone probably thought it was an ok choice.

Sixers vs Wizards On ESPN • Oct 20, 2017 12:02 AM

@Kcmatt7 @KUSTEVE @BShark @Lulufulu I currently have sling, it works pretty good I pay $35 a month for it with all the sports upgrades but it includes Fox sports Midwest, Fs1, Fs2, NBC sports network, ACC network, SEC on ESPN channel, ESPNU, ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN3 live stream, ESPN news and a few soccer channels. It works good most the time if you have good internet, I have the app on Amazon Fire Stick. Only trouble is it is about 7 seconds behind cable. The package to get those sports channels on dish or direct, which I've had both is over $70 a month. I would like to figure out how to use the proxy for espn 3 so that I can watch the JTV games. If anyone knows how that works lol also I've heard that Roku is better than Amazon and that its pretty much the same from others advice?

Hopefully they can stream it, Self in his presser it would have to be only for charity to meet NCAAs guide lines for game. Said not big commercial deals and what not.

Kansas will more than likely tie the longest road losing streak in NCAA history Saturday(I thought they tied last week in ISU preview, my mistake) as they travel to Fort Worth and face off against TCU prime time 7pm on Fox. Last time Kansas played in a nationally televisied game they won(Texas LY) and TCU is the only current B12 member not to beat KU by at least 40 points and coach Beaty by 30. So in the words of Lloyd Christmas " You're telling me there's a chance!!" No not really, FPI gives KU a 1% chance to win and TCU could have Pattersons best team since joining the league. Looking at this game TCU has a lotta the same dudes including QB Kenny Hill and do everything running back Kyle Hicks that needed 3 missed FGs and 4 turnovers from Ryan Willis to escape Lawrence with a 24-23 win a year ago. The offense is gonna have its hands full Saturday trying to score against the B12s best defense in terms of points and yards. This coming after the offense looked um terrible (feel like terrible is too nice) last week against a middle of the pack defense in ISU. Hopefully starting RB Herbert and C Ribordy return and at least give us a chance to have decent snaps and run the ball effectively. The defense actually looked decent for time against FBS competition last week for the first time all year. Hopefully they can continue to progress moving forward with KSU and Baylor coming up next in likely the 2 weakest teams left on our schedule. The special teams looked just as bad as the offense with a muffed punt and a punter that for lack of a better description had his head up his a** and couldn't even catch the snap let alone punt the ball (little strange to see from a senior half thru the year). Hopefully one of these days all 3 units show up and we at least are competitive. I'm a little worried to be honest about wether Beaty has lost this team or not with some of the players comments about not giving max effort last week, which is sickening. You have lost 40 some odd games on the road and everyone says you suck daily and that don't fire you up as well playing a team stole the win last year from us, then nothing will. I think the best case scenario we only lose by 30. I think TCU realizes finally to not go out drinking til the sun comes up this year the night before the game and handles KU with little doubt 65-13 and finally gets a big win in the series.

USA Today Coaches Poll • Oct 19, 2017 07:05 PM

Not a ton love for the B12 with 3 teams ranked, I think Alabama lasts about a week ranked. Gonzaga lost most their only FF and 2nd E8 team in history doubtful they are top 25. How much of a penalty will Arizona see this year, if any being involved in the scadal same for Louisville. Another story that is interesting is how WSU fairs in a lajit conference for the first time since creighton was in the MVC.

Frank Mason: NBA Starter • Oct 19, 2017 01:09 PM

@BeddieKU23 being realistic I don't think Frank will see very many minutes this year

KU vb • Oct 19, 2017 03:17 AM

@jayballer54 Payne hasn't been as good this season, hopefully she breaks outta here funk at the right time.

KU vb • Oct 19, 2017 02:31 AM

Kansas sweeps Baylor 25-14, 25-22, 25-14 was never really in doubt. KU trailed only briefly in the second set. Nice to get another win vs the top 25 and see no hang over from Texas. Here is the current B12 standings:

Texas 7-0, 15-2

Kansas 6-1, 17-3

Baylor 6-2, 16-5

Iowa State 4-3, 13-4

Texas tech 2-5, 13-7

West Virginia, 2-5, 13-7

Kansas State 2-5, 9-11

Oklahoma 2-5, 5-15

TCU 1-6, 9-10

KU vb • Oct 19, 2017 12:57 AM

KU plays #25 Baylor on fox sports Midwest at 8. I'll be flipping back and forth with the 76ers game.

@JayHawkFanToo It should be getting hot, as I stated before the ISU game both teams returned within a guy or 2 of the same but the result the next year flipped from 31-24 to 45-0. Samething could be said for the TCU and KSU games both return similar numbers and the games were competitive a year ago, TCU beat us 24-23 and KSU 34-19 in a touchdown game late. I beat both are 30 plus point beatings again.

I personally think it's Garrett, I think most of us expect Vick to be a big part of the team this year and we all saw flashes of him building up to a solid player. Garrett as some of his team mates have said is a guy that wasn't highly recruited or a big name guy. But that's perfectly okay with me, Mason or Graham wasn't highly recruited ether.

Why not stream the Fizzou game? • Oct 18, 2017 12:40 AM

@BShark you could very well be correct I'm just thinking it would raise more money.

My 2 issues are that if you stream it for a cost that goes to the hurricane relief you would donate considerably more IMO. Also it seems like we are helping make Fizzou relevant in hoops again. @HighEliteMajor I honestly miss the dog fights with them I grew up watching.

Why not stream the Fizzou game? • Oct 18, 2017 12:32 AM

@BShark I wouldn't think it would be if ESPN or FOX Sports did it because I believe they own the TV rights to both conferences, JTV also should have some rights they do the other exhibition games.

Why not stream the Fizzou game? • Oct 18, 2017 12:30 AM

I understand the want to sell out the venue which took only minutes but it's KU basketball, we sell out arenas across the country every year. I have already donated a couple of times to hurricane relief and this is a great idea to raise more but if you had someone steam the game for $10 with half of that going to charity you could probably donate a few hundred thousand more dollars. We got hawks all over country, most of which have been to this rivalry game and probably want to see it as well. It would just make it a better event IMO.

Seeing a good chunk of fire Beaty and Zenger comments all across the web here. I honestly feel like the next few weeks are huge for Zenger's job and how much more time Beaty gets. We go on the road to face TCU the 4th ranked team in the land, then KSU and Baylor at home. If we get blown away bye a TCU it's probably not a big deal but KSU will likely have a 3-4 record and Baylor likely will be 0-8. If we get hammered by 2 teams with a combined record of 3-12 at home it will be very tough to raise amy money for a program that bad and keep the current people in charge.

Iowa State Cyclones • Oct 15, 2017 02:03 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 we'll see but I stick to what I said. @JayHawkFanToo if only our staff developed players.

Iowa State Cyclones • Oct 14, 2017 10:08 PM

@JayHawkFanToo I strongly disagree, ISU doesn't h ave better athletes than we do. We can't make simple plays that should be routine for most football players. Look at both teams rosters right now, I'd bet money KU has more players that make a NFL roster than ISU. I bet Wise, Armstrong, Dineen, Lee and Hidjeni (misspelled o lineman) all make an NFL roster while one defensive back and Lazard make it for ISU. These are the same core players as a year ago. ISU is developing players and KU clearly isn't.

Iowa State Cyclones • Oct 14, 2017 08:00 PM

I really don't know what to say about how bad we looked today. Just when you thought the offense looked improved. The defense did okay forr what they was dealt but goodness. It's crazy to watch even tho I predicted it but ISU blowing us away with most the same team in a tight one a year ago. Where is the progress?

http://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/21008004/north-carolina-tar-heels-avoid-major-sanctions-academics-fraud-case ↗

Basically from what get of it is that because regular students had access to these fake classes it didn't effect the BB and FB teams players in them. What a waste of a 3 year investigation, smh don't pay players just give them bs classes to pass.

@BShark Im saying ether Carter or Newman gets it.

Graham won't win POY of the year, sorry he's not enough of a scorer to do so. He will be a first team all American point guard.

Embiid: THE GOAT • Oct 12, 2017 09:59 PM

We would've been much better with him in the line up Embiid> Alexander. I will never put down a lottery pick for leaving, I'd do the same.

KU vb • Oct 12, 2017 05:31 AM

@JayHawkFanToo Graham and Svi both was there

Iowa State Cyclones • Oct 12, 2017 05:20 AM

I've kinda not really messed with prediction time here as of late. I'm sorry but between just a select few of us doing and how disappointing we have been this year it's tough to wanna think about football but the bare minimum that allows me to watch us look like a middle school JV volleyball managers club trying to play football.

Iowa State Cyclones • Oct 12, 2017 05:11 AM

Kansas will travel to Ames Saturday for the early game at 11am once again, this time the game is on Fox Sports Net. Talk about 2 teams on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. ISU is coming off their biggest upset ever with a win last week in Norman with a 3rd string QB no less. Kansas of course was lit up bye Tech in what would be their 4th straight double digit loss. Matt Campbell has done extremely well in year number 2 in Ames. Some crazy things to think about regarding Campbell vs Zenger hires. Kansas under Weis and Beaty has combined to go 5-54 vs FBS competition while Campbell in just his second season already has 5 and with a win Saturday can make it 6, Kansas also has just 2 B12 victories in under those coaches, Campbell looks to double that with a win Saturday. Now I'll agree that Campbell inherited a better deal than Beaty but Beaty has a year longer tenure. Beaty announced that KU is within one or two of the scholarship limit so let's not use that excuse. Now here's the kicker ISU came to Lawrence a year and escaped a tight game with a win that Kansas controlled the majority of but let slip away late with 2 second half turnovers. ISU returns one more starter than Kansas and 2 less letter winners from a year ago. But seems to be light years ahead of Kansas and this the prime example of why Beaty isn't the answer. We are gonna line up with mostly the same core players as last year and get blown to pieces. It is unknown at this point as to who will start at QB for both clubs as senior Kempt lead ISU to victory a week ago while the usual starter Park was injured. Kansas switched to Stanley late in the first half over Bender last week for a Kansas. I personally would go with Bender, I think he gives us the best shot to win. ISUs has improved greatly from last year, letting up 70 yards and 10 points less per contest and we know that Kansas will give very little resistance defensively. I say KU may a slim chance if ISU has a hang over on a early game but highly doubt they could pull off a win baring creating 5+ turnovers like Texas a year ago, maybe even more being on the road. I believe this loss will tie the all time road losing streak at 45. ISU rolls as 4 QBs play and 10 tight ends get in the game for the clones. ISU 55 KU 27

KU vb • Oct 12, 2017 03:26 AM

Texas wins the fifth set 17-15, disappointing that we gave away the second set up 4 late and seemed to just not give a shit in the 4th. We had our chances on to the next one as they say.

KU vb • Oct 12, 2017 02:58 AM

Texas takes the 4th 25-10 in set that honestly looked like Kansas intentionally threw because they had money on it going to five. Been watching KU VB the last probably five years since they got decent and are on TV from time to time and that's the worst set I've ever seen.

KU vb • Oct 12, 2017 02:46 AM

Fourth set starts flawless for Texas wtf happened to our energy we are just standing, down 12-4.

KU vb • Oct 12, 2017 02:46 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 @JayHawkFanToo i tried when I was in town for football, I couldn't find cheaper than $120. Which is way to much IMO,

KU vb • Oct 12, 2017 02:36 AM

Kansas takes the third set 25-18 and lead 2-1, other than the last few rallies of the second KU has completely dominated thus far. Hopefully they can keep it up because Texas has been shooting themselves in the football with 14, yes 14 service errors.

KU vb • Oct 12, 2017 02:07 AM

Texas takes the second set 27-25 and to be honest we completely gave it away, was up 15-10 and 22-18 could end up being very costly. Couple of severe errors and hits that were just barely out of bounds hurt.

How long of a leash does Beaty get? • Oct 12, 2017 01:56 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 my source said the defense was against Mangino and the offense was with him. It really doesn't matter at this point.

How long of a leash does Beaty get? • Oct 12, 2017 01:32 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 my source that played on team says completely different. That they had little practice time and spent countless hours meeting with Lew about what was happing around Mangino. It really doesn't matter, it couldn't have worked out worse for the football program.

KU vb • Oct 12, 2017 01:30 AM

Kansas takes the first set 25-21. It's live on ESPNU currently.

How long of a leash does Beaty get? • Oct 11, 2017 11:07 PM

@Kcmatt7 but Art has the same amount of B12 titles is less than a third of the time. I'll agree to disagree with you but Snyder isn't in my list of top 10 coach of all time, maybe not even top 25. Most top tier coaches have a winning bowl record or winning record against ranked teams or have at least played for a national title. He doesn't belong up with Saban and Bryant IMO. Reminds of all the bs I call on KSU fans when they think they are a national power.

How long of a leash does Beaty get? • Oct 11, 2017 10:41 PM

@Kcmatt7 I probably jumped the gun with Mangino but Briles you could argue is better if you look at his success in a shorter time. Obviously Briles is cheat who let his players do whatever they pleased but let's not act like Snyder hasn't had his bad apples,
(Brandon Banks high on oxy beating his GF and the kid that just transferred this off season after failing multiple drug tests) let's not act like he's perfect. Snyder was also involved with a scandal involving taking extra money from boosters that supposedly went to recruits that just stopped being investigated after he retired the first time. Snyder does the best with less but if he was really the best he could get some athletes in there to get the program to the next level. Part of coaching is recruiting and he has failed at that. KSU is a solid program nothing more and nothing less. Snyder has a horrid record vs top ten teams and a losing road record. I'm not ready to rename the Heisman after him.

What Is "Athleticism?" • Oct 11, 2017 10:31 PM

@drgnslayr god given talent means most high level athletes could work like crazy and still not be where Wigs and JJ are athletically. It means being able to out run, jump, finesse and be faster without having to work as much. I had the highest vertical jump on my high school basketball team and I wore ankle weights for years building up to that. The guy that was second wasn't a lifter or really a guy that worked out a ton. He just had natural given talent, the same kid who had no muscle tone and was a joke in weight room was the QB at my school and could throw the ball football 50 plus yards on a 120 lbs frame and biceps the size of my forearms. You can't teach surtain stuff, a coach can make you faster but a good coach won't make you as fast as Tyrek Hill.
