Forgot how to tackle at half time
My goodness just go for it our punter sucks as does our coverage.
That's all folks better score every time we touch it now.
Solid half, just feel like we should be up. I like the idea of throwing it up there at the half
That's game a sack and a 30 yard punt. SMH
Another huge drop bye Sims.
Huge drop bye Sims
Have to get touchdowns guys!!
Don't kick it to him again poor poor poor coaching
Wow Stanley had a walkin TD if he runs there.
@Crimsonorblue22 are you at the game?
@HawkChamp I live in a small town which Kansas is full of, no cox out here.
@mayjay not here, some folks on twitter and Facebook, should've cleared it up. Just plain chicken sh** IMO.
If I remember right we barely bare bear Washburn one year. Think it was tight thru out but we pulled away to win bye double digits. Think it was 2012 or 2013.
Rant. Okay folks when I see negative comments about former players it pisses me off. What did Carlton do to you? Nothing, absolutely nothing but yea bag on a kid because he wasn't as good as you and some writer thought he should've been. I thought we were Jayhawks. Let's hold ourselves to a higher standard.
We could really use another big this year. I'm worried he'll be another one of those kids who's ego got in the way and ends up back home.
Haha, Kim Anderson. I almost went to Pittsburgh State
@BShark hard to predict any different unfortunately. I keep telling myself maybe we can get them down a little early and get them to play tight knowing it's a must win for their bowl hopes. But I'm just can't quite talk myself into it.
Memorial stadium will likely be full of purple Saturday as the grapes head into town to face off against the Jayhawks at 2 pm on FS1. Please, please if you are able to make it, do so. I hate seeing our stadium full of awful colors. It's safe to say neither team has had the season most fans thought they would at this point. Kansas was thought to have 3 maybe 4 wins if they were lucky to this point. Kansas state was a preseason top 20 club, climbing to #17 in week 3 only to lose 3 in a row and 4 of their last 5 since playing someone decent. I know this was a game a circled early in the preseason as we lost bye 2 touchdowns in Manhattan a year ago and return the same amount of guys. Obviously we have seen how that has worked out the last few weeks in a similar scenario. Beaty is no doubt coaching for his job these next two weeks. Starting center Mesa Ribordy must return for us to have any chance. We were running the ball effectively before he went down and the line has been outta sorts to put it nicely since. Carter Stanley should get the start at QB. I kinda changed my stance on this since last week but after watching him be able to avoid some pressure against TCU he's my guy this week, that and maybe just maybe it gives the offense a spark. It's unknown as to who will start at QB for KSU with Ertz being out the last two weeks. If im KU,and Ribordy is back I'm making them stop a heavy dose of Herbert. They have looked suspect against the run the last few weeks and with a healthy line that's our strength. They most likely will do the same which means, Bowen if you read this, a guy has to assigned to the QB every snap! Daniel Wise got fired up after TCU about the level of playing going on. Hopefully that means we don't spot the opposite team 3 scores in less than half of a quarter which seems to be the normal here lately. I'm looking for some heart and pride Saturday. I really would like to think we could make a game of it but we all know the Fizzou grad Snyder puts a ton of work and hatred into this game. That coupled with 3 straight losses means this game wont be close for long. KSU 56 KU 10. At least with State in town our attendance will probably be more than the last 2 years high of 32K and some change.
@wissox Lmao that's great.
The girls have to find some consistency if they want to make another run this year. I'm sure what the problem is, one set they look great, the next they look lost as can be. IMO they should be 21-1 and ranked in the top 3 because the Texas and Santa Clara games we gave away.
@KUSTEVE very true, my wife was at that game her junior year at KU.
@KUSTEVE CBS sports in general seems to hate KU especially since Gottieb was there, I'm sure he still is but it's nice to see a positive article about us in the national media. Usually the east coast team are all that we hear about.
Saw this Chalmers and JJ also had solid outings in wins.
@elpoyo is just a negotive Nancy, he seldom says anything positive.

Pretty cool to see, hopefully it's the start of a great season for the young fella.
@Big-Clyde52 I actually didn't even hear about it til after it happened. It was really a piss poor job of promoting it, but I highly doubt playing Missouri state raised a whole lotta of money. If I was KSU I would've asked WSU to play at intrust in Wichita. That would've raised a decent amount and took a shot at us but it's KSU they ain't smart enough, they just chant F bombs. Lol
One other question friends, how much money do you think Coach Cal and the rest of the coaches and staff of our opponents spend donating tonight to get a leg up on how we'd look this year. 😂😂
@DanR @Hawk8086 @HawkChamp Yes mind boggling to say the least.
Man, that was a highly intense contest, easily the most intense for a exhibition. I'll be honest, I was fairly disappointed in certain parts of the game. I may have even been a little too harsh with comments(still ticked about FB) considering we aren't playing a D3 school to the year. I also think Fizzou played better than they are because it was us. They probably don't get over 20 second chance points again this year or go out and hit 14 3s like they did today. I'm concerned about our lack of rebounding, we only lost on the glass by 3 but let up 19 offensive rebounds which is one of the reasons it was even a contest. Also our defense looks to rival last years club, which was statically the worst in the Self era. I thought we shot the ball well for the most part, but think really play well about 10 minutes. DG was great and Doke finally showed up in the second half. We can't have guys disappearing for long stretches like Svi for the whole game and Newman and Vick in the first half. Svi had best wake up or he's in trouble with Sam coming and him already looking like the last player in the rotation. Lightfoot and Preston both showed some good and bad as expected for the youngsters. Just quick thoughts here. I think it was good to play to get us ready for Kentucky.
There we go boys!
Was a great idea, they just said the PPV service raised $724,480
@JayhawksandChill you are 100% correct DG has been hot and kept it close. Got a whole half to go here ig.
@DanR meant close edge of 2 lol a little flustered at our play but they do have 16 second chance points.
I feel like we are lucky to be in at this point, I believe the boards are close a,2 edge on the glass for them. They flatout are just playing harder an with more heart.
@BShark size has fart fire nothing to do with Mizzou running after the ball while stand with our thumbs up our butts.
Wow I don't understand why the last few years we just flat out don't hustle on the glass. I guess seeing Nova and Oregon live off of second chance points the last 2 NCAAs didn't motivate us. Little embarrassing right row for KU, Mizzou pretty close to blowing this wide open.
It gets worse friends, we just had another recruit bail. I believe 4 so far this year. Beaty says we are close to caught up on scholarships but we may actually lose ground in that department.
@DoubleDD I agree I'm just getting at good laugh at them choking this year and it's a shot at their dipstick fans that think they are a NC contender each year.
I feel like the infomercial guy "but wait there's more!!" Kansas is now tied for the longest road losing streak in NCAA history and let's be honest they will own it here shortly and probably for a long time seems how it has been in place since before WW2. Kansas now has the worst offensive output this century (only 17 years but still pathetic) with a grand total of 21 yards. KU has been out scored 144 to 19 in the past 3 games including 2 shutouts. If Beaty can't at least be competitive the next 2 weeks he has to go end of story.
The Delton kid was a dam good player outta Hays, I watched him in person and I believe he has several offers including one from us. I personally am enjoying seeing KSU lose this season, hell we were overrated and choked last year in BB according to KSU fans. I laugh as they were the #18 ranked team early in the year and now will have to finish super strong to go bowling.
@jayballer54 the offensive line is bad it don't matter, our QB has less than 2 seconds to throw and our RBs have to break 2 tackles for a no gain. Tom Brady couldn't d help this team with Gronk and Kareem Hunt. The line has been a big issue the last 2 weeks.
@Texas-Hawk-10 I agree with you Bender still has the best potential and has had 2 solid outings, people forget Stanley stank last year he wa 20/41 with 2 picks in the Texas game. I think if Bender would settle in and the line would give him time he can be a decent QB.
TCU takes a 24 to zip lead into the break, defense has played decent out side of a few home run balls. Offensively we look lost, have a grand total of 3 whole yards. It's just crazy to me how bad an offense that returns 8 players can be, its like we have gotten worse each of the last 3 weeks smh.
@approxinfinity I don't like that comparison because one team plays 6 or 7 games home while the other plays 80. That's how that claim baseball is America's because more people have watch it total even tho its way more games and older. Ratings wise NBA, NFL and NASCAR all destroy baseball in viewer ship. I just figured the game being in the playoffs compared to a snooze fest beat beat down would be better.
@Texas-Hawk-10 I highly doubt TCU vs KU pulls more numbers than a game 7 playoff series that has the Yankees in it. Maybe if it was OU vs TCU and not the most popular MLB team.
@HighEliteMajor I think the play calling late vs Oakland was questionable as well most the game vs Pittsburgh. You could make a strong case for Smith for MVP if you look at how effective he has been, dudes completing over 72% of his passes with 15 TDs and 0picks. Now his yards aren't overly impressive at 263 per game but that one has to consider the chiefs have the leading rusher in Hunt.
I'd put OU up a couple of spots as well as ISU. Oklahoma got Young and return pretty much all of a team that was super young but competitive last year. Prohm will prove his worth in Ames. My predicted standings:
-
Kansas
-
WVU
-
TCU
-
OU
-
Baylor
-
Texas
-
ISU
-
KSU
-
Tech
-
OSU

I don't think he's being cocky of anything and wish the kid well just an interesting read.
