@Kcmatt7 I'm sorry but you have to have more on resume to be a top ten coach. By those standards an argument could be made that Art Briles is a top 10 coach because Baylor sucked before he was there and really same for Mangino here.

I don't care what the excuses are 3rd year starters getting embarrassed and looking lost week after week. Beaty may go down as the worse college coach in history when he's done here. @Kcmatt7 absolutely no way is Snyder a top 10 all time coach. One major bowl win and two conference titles in nearly 30 years to go with a .63 win percentage, that gets you fired at a good chunk of schools. @Texas-Hawk-10 Mangino had 3 winning seasons of the 8 he was here and probably would've had 4 had sweet Lou not started the witch hunt. I wish we were anywhere near as competitive as those years.
@jayballer54 we are now #9 and Texas is #5. It's really a must win if we want to defend our B12 championship, and it will be a battle.
@Kcmatt7 to me there is no excuse good enough for our current state. Mangino and Synder turned around programs here by developing players. Something Beaty doesn't know how to do.
@Kcmatt7 I agree to an extent. I honestly don't believe Beaty can get us to more than 3 wins and that 3 wins maybe 3 years or longer from now. His only shoot is recruiting kids that don't need development, he hasn't shown he can develop 3 year guys.

@Texas-Hawk-10 That's the issue, it's a catch a 22 as always but if we getting worse the stadium maybe completely empty. As I stated earlier on here is that if attendance dips to less than 20K officially, it will be the lowest in over 25 years. I look for the fund raising for the upgrades to take years apon years.
Kansas came out Saturday looking like they had better things to do against TT. They had two weeks to prepare for the game still found themselves down 21-0 less than 8 minutes into the game. My question is how many of these 40 plus point blowouts does Beaty get this year? This is the first of my guess at least 3, this Saturday and the CMU game are 2 times where it was very evident that no progress has been made with the program. I honestly think we are worse than the 2015 team, we just got lucky and played a crap FCS team. I honestly would bet on a winless Baylor team beating us bye 20+ in our own stadium. You all know I don't believe in firings mid season but at this point I have no clue how Beaty keeps his job baring the team flipping a 180 and winning a game or two at seasons end. We have guys that are in their 3rd year of starting and still look completely lost under Beaty.
@wissox I think OU has had its head up in the clouds since the Ohio State victory, they had Baylor down bye 3 touchdowns and let them come back, then blew a 2 touchdown lead Saturday at home to ISU.
@Texas-Hawk-10 I heard when the B12 was about to implode a couple of years back that ISU, KU and KSU were headed to the B10.
@DanR I agree, it's hard to understand how we can be this bad in year 3 of Beaty, returned 6 guys on defense and 8 guys on offense to go with 17 guys on the two deep from a year ago. We pretty much have 2 new corners and a safety, then a new lineman and QB on offense. They just don't make an excuse good enough.

@Texas-Hawk-10 still not what you said. That upgrade wasn't early in MMs tenure. Baylors stadium sucked during their turnaround as did KSUs, TCUs and dukes according to a buddy that lives in Carolina and went to the KU Duke game a few years back has the worst stadium he's ever seen (including memorial in the 90s). Duke wins 6 or 7 games most years. Let's stop making excuses we will suck til someone with a brain runs our program and athletic department.

@Texas-Hawk-10 negative ghost rider, the Anderson family football complex opened in 2008 a long with the new practice fields. We won a flipping orange bowl with a worse looking stadium, the place looks better with out the track, new fence and a muilti million dollar locker rooms. No ones coming to lose in a fancy stadium. We need coaches that can improve players that have been in the program for 3-4 years something Beaty and this group have failed very very badly at.

@BShark shoot I went to the Central Michigan game. A game most thought we could win and saw a mac team cream us by 30. I figured today was a double digit loss. Honestly if i lived closer I'd go to most home games because stub hub has tickets for $10.

Kingsbury now has as many wins in memorial stadium as Beaty and he's only in his fifth year.
Even our senior punter sucks 37 yards per punt average on 7 kicks. SMH no silver lining in this one today, just terrible team with terrible coaching being terrible.
@Kcmatt7 QB isn't all the problem for sure. Cozart looked like an average QB against a terrible team for Boise State, who has a much better all around team. Our WRs can't catch most the time anyway but some of these throws that are off by several yards and the QB has time idk who else you blame. Now the question becomes does the KU basketball team hold the TT team to less than the 65 let up today lol.
Oklahoma just got beat bye a 3rd string QB and we can't even find a guy that looks like he's played the game before.
@Crimsonorblue22 very sad, this has been a frustrating game. If our 3rd and 4th year guys could just make simple easy plays that most can in middle school like catching the ball and or refs that aren't drunk we'd be in this game.

It's homecoming in Lawrence as Kansas faces Texas Tech again in the early game at 11am this time on FS1. Tech comes in off of a tight home loss to Okie state. Tech honestly is better than I figured @Texas-Hawk-10 called it. They have lived close to the edge in building a 3-1 record with a 3 point win over Houston and 7 point win over Arizona state in what most called a make or break year for Cliff and a loss to Kansas in most cases is a break. We know they are gonna run tempo and put points on the board with relative ease against the Kansas defense, Shimonek actually out played Mahomes last year against us after Mahomes was hurt and put up 27 straight points. Their defense is slightly improved from a year ago, they actually do average giving up .3 more pass yards per contest than us, which says a lot watching how pathetic we have been against it. They average letting up 30 less rush yards and 9 less points. Most of that is caused bye our inability to create turnovers. I really believe the offensive line is improving and deserves credit for creating lanes for Herbert to run. If Bender can just settle in and be consistent in the passing game I think we can score points. Kansas is actually 29th in total offense, we just have to cut down on turnovers and finish drives with touchdowns. I believe we have had 4 drives that ended inside our opponents 10 yard line that resulted in FGs. Kansas also has a real shot to eclipse 30 points for the 3rd straight game, which hasn't happened since the Mangino days. For only being hear a year Mecham is doing a solid job IMO and I hope he's here for several years. With all this being said I'm gonna go with TT 59 Kansas 38. I think it's a similar game to the Wet Virginia one, where we get close but just can't find a way to keep up late.

Several things are sickening about this, obviously that it happened and secondly some of the comments I've read on Facebook and twitter. Prayers to the victims, I know this will be a unpopular opinion on here but this is why I dislike rap music. I think it promotes violence and degrades women and brings in a rough crowd. I went to a rap concert in Wichita in my early twenties and never will do so again (a friend wanted to go so I went with her). There were fights there, gang signs being flashed and guns, it was a little hairy for a small town white boy. Now this obviously doesn't mean that the Lil yachty concert caused this, we don't have any answers at this point so not trying to single out anyone. Hopefully they figure it out, it's crazy that I was just there 3 weeks ago, it could've been me. Don't usually see stuff like this in Lawrence too often.
