@FarmerJayhawk I havenāt seen anything on that but yes as @BShark said there would be many upset
The good thing IMO itās less of a wild card for Trump to be in office than Harris. Most of the country prospered under Trumps first term.
@BShark yikes I hate to hear that buddy @benshawks08 id love to do that if I had any money, great way to help. I got to middle class and then they taxed the hell out of us so itās like lower class now lol
@wissox nearly 50% of Hispanics voted for Trump according to the news. I think people forget there is a big difference between illegal immigration and legal immigration. No one is against immigration that was never an argument, it was invented by main stream media. I have a co-worker I hired a few years back from Mexico, his family migrated when he was 8 and Iām proud to say he gained citizenship of this country. He hates illegals more than anyone I know, he says it gives his family a bad name. He claims itās not that difficult to do things the right way. I enjoy having him work for us and he does stuff the right way everyday. Iāll add itās punishable by death in several countries to enter illegally especially in Africa and the Middle East. I donāt know what itās like to travel that path but Iāll easily take the words someone I know and trust on the matter.
@approxinfinity He is without question one if not the most unprofessional person in the White House. I always liked how Obama carried himself, I strongly disagreed with most of his foreign policies but he handled himself well. Especially compared to Trump and the rambling idiot known as Biden.
@nuleafjhawk wasnāt aimed at anyone in general my friend. Just speaking my peace you all know Iām always willing to agree to disagree on serious topics.
@nuleafjhawk said in All of a Sudden:
@wissox In my mind, Harris didn't play into the equation at all. It's about why does America want to elect a degenerate, perverted convicted criminal? What makes that right? How does that reflect on us?
Until this morning, I naively believed that there was more good than evil in this country. I was wrong.
I think a lot of people especially independents like myself wanted some accountability out of the democrats. They have had more control over the government during my time as an adult (Iām 36) than the republicans but yet they some how bare zero responsibility for the things happening. You donāt have to look very far to come up plenty of dirt and perverted things on both sides. Bill Clinton settled outta could for sexual assaulting young women, I guess it wasnāt important to democrats in the 90s. Having people involved with diddys sex partyās speak at your conventions wasnāt real intelligent on the perverted front either.
They pushed so hard for the first black lady president and made it about her race and previous mentioned abortion. Instead saying she is the most qualified and will to the best job because of this etc. Would yāall vote for Candace Owens just because of how she looks? Imagine Andy Reid announcing he was going to bench Patrick Mahomes in favor of a cheerleader so the chiefs would become the first franchise to start one.
Iām still frustrated that democrats for kicking several folks outta the military including some I personally know for not taking the covid vaccine. While at the same time inviting thousands of unvaccinated illegals into the country. Everyone knows the democrats lost most the African American vote, they want these people in the country so they can some how get them to vote. I guess my body my choice only applies to abortion. Which is my main concern I donāt believe in abortion in the slightest but donāt think it should be outlawed all together or that men should have a key say in it. The people of Kansas already voted how they felt on the matter so hopefully it doesnāt change. The other side of coin on that if itās in the best interest of the mother to abort and move on? How is that any different than a dad that says Iām not ready for this and takes off only to be summoned to court to pay child support.
Iām kinda rambling here but I see plenty of bullshit on both sides to act like the democrats are saints is just ridiculous me. Letās keep an open mind and all support each other.
Iād be worried no matter who won. We all can just hope for the best. I 100% agree with @wissox and @approxinfinity they have beat the living crap out of two drums the last 20 years with elections. Abortion and the guy running against them is a white supremacist. The last 4 years have easily been the worst of my adult life by a wide margin. The republicans pretty much cleaned house because average Americans are sick and tired of zero progress. We want to be able to feed our families and not get into another war. Trump likely gives us the best chance to do that.
@wissox I love farting around debating @Texas-Hawk-10 is one of my favorites will go back and forth for and Iām always laughing by the end like I tell everyone itās just a chat room.
Nice to see a 291 yard with 3 TDs classic Mahomes game. I think when they get Smith-Schuster back it will help. Worthy has to work on catching the football and tapping his feet, had 2 tonight that shouldāve been caught. Hes got the speed just needs some more work.
@BShark itās really silly you can play 33% of the football games and redshirt. Basketball you should be able to play before the second semester IMO.
The chiefs are the exact opposite of KU at the end of games lol pretty ugly defense second half letting up 17 points but they have been great all year.
It looked bad but I guess itās not lol, DHOP is a huge help
The 3 peat may have just ended with Mahomes injured
UCF with a big win at home vs # 13 Texas A&M
@nuleafjhawk well they need to maybe try to block someone especially Vera. Dude has been a problem
We will find out a lot Friday evening, lots of good stuff here. Was impressed with the defense for much of the night. Our lack of size still scares me we will struggle against sizable guards
Mahomes had a near perfect half, Worthy not knowing where he was on the field cost them 7 points 10-7 at the half
@wissox yes Iām very impressed this far
Is there a funner name than in college basketball than Bidunka??
Settling for a few to many 3 balls, I like pushing the ball. Would love to us to get back to that this season we have some bodies. The easiest way to score is beat the defense down the floor.
Place looks half full
@RockChalkinTexas letās not ruin the game thread lmao
@HoraceZontal we didnāt make the sweet 16 last season
@wissox Fritz is in his first year at Houston and is a proven winner at this level. I think he has proven he is a better coach than Leipold has been this season. You donāt have to think the same but have players not know wtf they are doing on kickoffs 8 weeks in is a direct reflection of coaching. Iām still waiting from the response from @Texas-Hawk-10 as to how Houston non conference schedule is so much easier than ours other than he was too lazy to look it up.
I think the Colts should seriously consider playing Jason Bean. He was clearly their best QB in the preseason
@nuleafjhawk aināt no chance in Hell Reid would go to that shit show. With his age Kansas City is likely his last stop. I hope itās still a few years away but I could a see him retiring if a 3 peat happens.
@nuleafjhawk Jerry has been the issue since he got rid of Johnson. They probably win 4 or 5 super bowls in the 90s with him.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Guess Iām not seeing anything that makes me think their non conference schedule was that easy. We both played UNLV and lost. They played OU on the road, lost we played Illinois on the road and lost. They donāt play an FCS team like we did in Lindenwood but played rice and won. They also beat both TCU and KSU, they seem to improve everytime they get on the field unlike us. Please expand on how much easier their non conference was than ours because it makes no logical sense looking at them. They also have several common opponents in conference and have beaten teams we lost to with less talent. Sounds like superior coaching to most logical folks. I would agree theirs is slightly easier. Fritz is winning more games with less talent that is a fact not an opinion buddy.
@FarmerJayhawk Iād take that outcome any day of the week. Need a sticker for my truck that says meteor 2024 just fucking end it all.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Fritz is taking a team much less talented than ours and will end up winning more games in not only the conference but overall. Fritz> Leipold
@Texas-Hawk-10 true but if Fritz is coaching the hawks this season we aināt lost yet.
We need to hire Willie Fritz he beat KSU in methattan as Tulaneās head coach a few years ago. He's a good coach Houston seems to be improving every week at this point.
Letās go Houston
Not a good look but TCU completely shut down Arkansas yesterday and ended up beating them in an overtime exhibition game. š³
I think everyone is right is there own way besides @wissox saying heās not smart. @Texas-Hawk-10 is right this team likely mops the floor with most KU teams the last decade plus. @nuleafjhawk is correct that this is the most disappointing team in Kansas football history. Even the 2009 team managed to win 5 games this they gave away their fair share. I never expected us to win the conference and make the CFP. But I never thought we wouldnāt make a bowl. This could be the worst coaching job in CFB history. Itās one thing to suck with a team full of non D1 athletes like Weis and Beaty. Itās an entirely different story to struggle with NFL talent on both sides of the ball. LL has been exposed so far this season.
@Zabudda ABC is getting a lot of talks after they leaked election results at the bottom of the screen during an Indy car race last weekend showing a 100 percent of the proceedings for PA.
@mayjay probably smart on his part
I think Trump wins in a landslide, still trying to decide if any of the fools on the ballet are worth a vote
Juan would be fine as a back up PG or one that spilts time like he did with Remy and Russel Robinson did with Sherron. Juan I donāt think is good enough to even play over seas.
@drgnslayr I been told itās pretty similar in general as @FarmerJayhawk said. Iāve always loved how you could forget what year it was most the time at a game, the place hadnāt changed much since the first time I went in 2008.
@Zabudda not sure Iād be excited putting 84 points on a D2 team. It used to be we was cheering for walk-ons to break triple digits against them. This team could gel and maybe make the FF giving the right road but we lack so much athleticism. Last year when we lined up against good teams they were bigger, faster and stronger by a wide margin. Watching Arkansas game I think that is pretty evident again. As much @kuballin10 blows his cork, he is a 100% right Juan Harris is a D2 level athlete period. I havenāt got a chance to talk to the high school coach that goes to Bills coaching clinic like last season. But last year everyone on here got pissed when he told me that was the least athletic team heād ever seen going to that clinic for over a decade and Juan was the most unathletic PG Kansas has ever had. They get to sit in on a few practices each year. It proved to be a very accurate statement.
I agree that this team shouldnāt be as offensively challenged as last years at times but we looked decent when Kevin was healthy last season.
@Texas-Hawk-10 absolutely no chance this team wins a title, we arenāt athletic and canāt guard to save our lives. It will look like last year a lot.
@BShark ya itās more so on football than basketball at this point for sure. Too early to know much with this group, Iām worried about our lack of athleticism. Wonder if Case is the main guy that finds guys but we just donāt look athletic against big time schools, didnāt last year either.
First time I haven't watched, listened or checked the score multiple times of a KU basketball game since probably 1996. I figure weād win by 30 or 40 and Iām so burnt out on KU athletics at the moment with how last weekend looked.
@Jhawk69 I donāt think they have been on there for a while
@PharmacyHawk yes I know Iāve heard a lot of stories from her about how crooked the insurance companies are but yes will take over this thread with it lol
@FarmerJayhawk I thought the pay was really good maybe @PharmacyHawk knows better. My sister in law went to the Pharmacy school and had been a pharmacist for 20 years. Her husband doesnāt work and they live 500k house and drive brand new vehicles so I assume they are doing plenty good. She does end up working 6 days a week most the time.
What is the over/under of McCarthy making it thru this season as Cowboys HC?
