It’s amazing how much we make an average QB look like a god. This defense concerns me a lot moving forward.
We will have a better record than KSU at the end of the day so there’s that. Just wish we would’ve held on against Cincinnati. That will be the game we circle if don’t get another W
Hopefully this gets us some confidence going forward

@nuleafjhawk I haven’t said He should be fired yet but if we miss a bowl with a team loaded with seniors, his seat should be warm going into next season. Now DK should be fired right now! OSU is the worst passing team in P4 yet they are throwing to open guys that don’t have a Jayhawk within 10 yards of them.

@approxinfinity I’m just struggling to cope with this past weekend. Losing to them in 23 with a 3rd stringer was okay. Last year I didn’t expect to win but we gave it away. This year we took a giant step backwards. Leipold has been big about closing the gap. We were just as good the last two seasons in football just made silly errors. If we had JD show up last weekend and won Lance would have another full stadium with full support. KSU will be returning several key players including Johnson, Brown, Cure, Edwards and such. It’s very tough to believe we will be able to compete with them within the next two years. The defense wasn’t good Saturday but if the QB plays average and the special teams doesn’t have a fumble we are right there.
@approxinfinity still waiting for the elevation of the program. We have lost too many games for the talent we have had the last two years.
@Jhawk69 when you demand all the stuff Lance did with the stadium and such. Then get you your butt spanked in that new stadium by your rival. You need to sit down and rethink your life.

Weird week for the NFL with seven 20 plus point wins and only one game was won by a single possession. The rest were all double digits, feel like that’s doesn’t happen much at this level.
Pretty slow start with some turnovers but another solid victory. We will find a lot the next games for KC being @buffalo, @ Denver and Indy at home. With how Denver and LA keep winning. They really need to win all 3 of these games. Pretty much can’t afford a loss to a AFC team especially one in the division.
Unfortunate to see a prized Kansas kid going elsewhere but like I said it’s more about money than performance right now for kids. If he was offered 1.2 mill to head to south I can’t blame him
Honest questions I’d like to hear some input on. Is Lance Leipold a good D1 coach? Is he a good recruiter? The two best years in Lawrence (6-7 in 22, 9-4 in 2023) were loaded with Les Miles recruits. Did he get lucky with the foundation Les laid and now we are seeing he is incompetent?
@dylans I care a lot about KU football and always will. We still have a shot to get to a bowl game which is the only goal that matters right now. Stinks we lost yet again to our rivals. But it prob doesn’t hurt recruiting as much as it did in the past. Just have to dip into the Booth money more to get local kids.
Speaking of buyouts Brian Kelly will get $54 million to not coach LSU. Man if I was in College coaching my goal would be to have 1 good season and get a huge buyout, set for life afterwards. Not sure why anyone at LSU thought that would work. If you can’t win championships at ND against a cake walk ACC schedule and all of their resources, how the hell are you going to in the SEC? Was as stupid as us hiring Weis.

@stoptheflop I guess KU officials met with Klieman pre game and told him be prepared for a field storming. This really pissed off KSU. Was a pretty stupid move
@wissox I think he should be fired if we don’t make a bowl. It’s obvious he has peaked here at this point. We always overreact and give coaches too big of a buyout/contract. Wisconsin or Florida he is all yours guys.

Legend?? You can’t be a legend in KU football never winning against a rival or in bowl game. Sorry you just can’t be Tony Sands is a legend because what he did here against Mizzou. Todd Ressing beating Mizzou in the snow and winning the orange bowl are a few examples. JD6s legacy has turned into putting up numbers early in the season against inferior opponents. Turning the ball over in big games repeatedly. He’s basically KUs Tony Romo at this point, all hype but can’t do jack when it matters. Jason Bean has a better legacy IMO by a lot.
Hard to imagine the weekend going worse than it with Volleyball getting upset Friday to start and likely ending their B12 title hopes. Between today and the rain its depressing

Im just shocked how bad we weren’t ready to play. KSU blitz’s a high percentage of the time and we seemed shocked. They did it all game last season vs us. Jalon Daniels may have turned in the worst QB performance I’ve ever seen at any level. Unfortunately my sons team lost the championship game today as well and I’m sure our 5th grade QB had a better passer rating than JD. I hope we never see JD in a KU uniform again. X is exploding with people thinking he threw the damn game thats how bad he was. I hope the team corned him in the locker room and said your done loser.
What a disgusting performance, this maybe the first time in the Leipold era I’m ashamed of our program and lack of progress. Maybe the first team we’ve had get worse as the year goes on. If we don’t get to a bowl, his seat should be hot.
