This is bad for SC. Their defense won't be a shock to UF.
Sorry @wissox! Your guys gave it a good try but they were just spent at the end.

First OT game of the dance right??
Yeah, Buff Wild Wings has been waiting all tournament for their commercial!
@drgnslayr Well, I might. If there were some limes and coconut rum included.....
@kjayhawks He just got a dunk! That is worth tons of press & photos, and easily outweighs any NCAA tourney stats by lesser beings!
@drgnslayr Don't discount our latest inside & 3 pt scoring threat,
BIM = "B---- I'm Mitch"

Old man Ball, if things stay as they are, will probably pipe up and say he could've coached UCLA to an easy 20+ win over Kensucky.
Any day now, we will find out that God took a couple days longer in Genesis than Daddy Ball would have needed.
@globaljaybird Ha! No, it is on my phone keyboard when failing to hold the "d" down long enough to get an exclamation mark.
So, should have been "bright!"
Ironic, perhaps, as I was not too.....?

Academic All American of the Year. 4.0 in Nuclear Engineering grad school. Canyon is pretty brightd (edit: bright!)
I posted this in a reference to the WPost in the Oregon matchups thread:
Actually, that article was not their writeup of the game. It was an analysis of how our current metrics and outlook are in good shape compared to our weaknesses and question marks entering the game.
Here is the WPost game story. Features FM muchly!

@DCHawker I told you all yesterday, maybe they should get Ewing! In the recruiting thread:
I wonder if Patrick Ewing would consider it to resurrect his alma mater. Has been an NBA asst for years. I could see that being a huge recruiting attraction to potential OADs. Have no idea how much of a winner as a college coach he would be, but some OADs donβt care, they just want contacts and visibility (Simmons, anyone?).
Apparently, someone is thinking about it:
What would you think of that as an alum?
@tis4tim Talking to opposing players isn't a problem. Even trash talk. All good competition. Neither is talking to refs unless you are really demonstrative. But if it happens in a combative and provocative way, Ts are there to prevent any physical reaction by opposing player, or bring a player or coach under control.
An anology in "real" life: you can say critical or negative things to people in a bar and in most situations they are expected to respond peacefully. Use what the Supreme Court has described as "fighting words", and you get the legal equivalent of a T (citation for disturbing the peace when somebody bashes you for whatever you said about his mother).
@nuleafjhawk But it was Big 12 players in a season, not just the conference season.
@BigBad Purdue seemed to think we have a legitimate post presence by dbl teaming Landon. He could get 14-16 pts if ignored, so that keeps them honest inside. Thing is, we don't absolutely need that many pts from him. He can get 6 to 10 on putbacks and an occasional post feed, and the rest are more than made up for by the freedom he creates for the guards to set up outside and on drives.

it just feels like our players are always getting drafted several spots below what they were projected in mock drafts.
Many mock drafts don't seem to include a few foreign players that draft-and-stash GMs seem to like to draft so much.
@BShark They don't have much else to talk about right now....
@jaybate-1.0 Nature's bio-weapon is going strong on the other campuses, too. Called Consequences of Spring Break. (Kids tell their parents it is the flu.)
@jaybate-1.0 Skipping Squeaky's town?
@BeddieKU23 After posting that, I recalled their jinxing of Frank's FT streak!

Doubling Lucas was quite odd.
I thought the CBS analysts did a great job of pointing out the problems with both that and the two-towers offense leaving no one to get back and defend the guards. Both times, the next few plays occurred as if they had scripted them to fit the discussion.

@mayjay I missed that. Was he on last pm?
I just watched a video of it. To be fair, he does a nice job of explaining his reasoning for most games.
@BShark Since I didn't do one, I get to make fun of everyone who did! At least the ones from talking heads. I will leave y'all alone.
@BShark said:
Honestly I hope the refs don't decide the game. They very easily could though.
They certainly helped last night with their ability to carom the ball right back to us. If that had gone out of bounds for another early TO, might have been bad news. "Home course bounce" we say in golf!
He made his picks before last night's games.
Eight: Florida, Baylor, Gonz, Ariz, KU, Mich, UNC, UCLA
FF: Florida, Ariz, KU, UCLA
Champ: Ariz over UCLA

Do we always have to compare them?
I agree. Absolutely unfair. One thing Josh has that Wigs did not was the inherited sense of determination of so many upperclassmen surrounding him. Josh doesn't have to be the #1 guy all the time. He fits into a perfect role. Wiggins was thrust into the alpha role. JJ has BIFM and DG and LL to take charge, plus he can go all out knowing LV is an athletic sub able to step right in.
I have no idea how JJ would be on AW's team, but I am sure AW would be pretty damned spectacular on this team.
@Crimsonorblue22 Were you there?
@DoubleDD Check out Wikipedia on "cbs and tbs relationsip March Madness"
Excerpt:
Starting in 2016, the regional finals, Final Four and national championship game began to alternate between CBS and TBS. TBS holds the rights to the final two rounds in even numbered years, with CBS getting the games in odd numbered years.
Lots of info on there on how they break it down. Contract is in effect until 2032.
@DoubleDD It is because they share the rights. Turner owns TBS, TNT, and TruTV, the other 3 tourney networks. CBS is owned by CBS Corp.
@DoubleDD Both Saturday games.
@DoubleDD CBS is not broadcasting the Saturday finals. Make plans accordingly. It is on TBS.
@Lulufulu He held them back.
@BShark It will be on TBS.

It isn't the same for the Big 12. That wording is the ACC terminology. Remember, they had a tournament long before anyone else did. Their tournament winner, the ACC conference champion, was the only team to get a bid back when there were no invitees other than conference champions and independents. It is their tradition, and they think it sets them apart.
The other conferences have tournaments for the money and the automatic bid, which means nothing in a power 5 conference.
@Texas-Hawk-10 said:
We already beat the SEC champs on their court, we just crushed the B10 champs, now we get the PAC 12 champs with the possibility of playing the ACC champs if we play UNC.
Actually, Duke is considered the official ACC "conference champions" champs by winning the ACC tournament. Since we beat them at the virtual beginning of the season, we can bookend their conference with UNC, whom they recognize as the "regular season champions.".
@jayballer54 Maybe he will be one of the studio guest commentators. These are our game announcers--same as last week, isn't it? Kevin Harlan / Reggie Miller / Dan Bonner // Dana Jacobson

@JayHawkFanToo Retired! Which makes my earlier post just creepy!
@kjayhawks Now you are in my trap.....
@JayHawkFanToo Referenced back to your post. Always a deep strategy to my confessions.
@RockChalkinTexas Did he go to a fashion consultant to dress for the interview--say, any 7th grader who has attended a gym class?
@JayHawkFanToo I was going to do it one year by the cuteness of the cheerleaders, but I got distracted.....
@drgnslayr said to @lincase:
So would you trade ISU for Purdue in our conference?
I might. It seems fitting somehow. Cyclones are literally the scourge of the Great Plains. Engineers tamed the plains.
@HighEliteMajor I am not sure we all saw it as a dig, but as a question that was, shall we say, overly familiar so it looks like (comes off as, some have said) a dig. I actually enjoy Lutz, but thought his question was awkward at best in reading it because he premised it on Frank's failure.
It is a tricky endeavor to joke about someone's failure in a serious public setting because it looks like you are laughing at them, and no one likes that. I think your information helps the understanding, but his truncated version does not.
@JayHawkFanToo Wow, really going out on a sparsly populated limb, is Seth?
@drgnslayr Money smooths out lots of transactional awkwardity.
