@wissox I kind of understand where you're coming from, but it IS news ad it IS in the General Discussion arena. I see/hear WAY worse and more inappropriate stuff every time I make the mistake of turning the news on.
But yeah, basketball is better.

@DanR Hold on. I hate the Yankees. I hate everything about them. I saw them at Royals stadium earlier this season. Their fans were more obnoxious than Mizzou & K-State combined.
@BeddieKU23 I had an inappropriate hatred for Roy Williams when he left. Especially after the "I don't give a **** about North Carolina" statement.
The funny thing is - he is the ONLY person I've ever gotten an autograph from. The only one I ever wanted. I always thought that autograph collecting was a strange habit. Anyway, I took two of my nephews (10 & 12) to a game and of course they wanted autographs afterwards. We stood in line - seemed like two hours. People we pushing and shoving and talking nasty to each other, it was absurd. For autographs. But I kept watching Roy. He was so gracious and kind and always had a little something to say to each person. I was so impressed. When we finally got to him, my nephews got their autographs and Roy looked at me and I told him "I've never in my life wanted an autograph from anyone, but I WOULD like yours, just because of the way you've handled all these people". I think he teared up a little (maybe I did too, so????) So I got my one and only autograph.
Oh yeah, about five years after he left, I forgave him.

@BeddieKU23 Uh. Well.... I mean... I'm very superstitious. All season long, when we got behind big time I would quit watching. Go to the store, go work on some project - whatever. So when we're down FIFTEEN at halftime (Fifteen, really??) I thought - well, I'll do us all a favor and go to bed. Not stay up till midnight and watch this bloodbath when I have to work the next day. By the way - the Super Bowl and National Championship games should ONLY be played on Saturday nights. Just saying.

@bskeet - i use youtube for videos and music, but have wiped my hands clean of all the other toxic garbage. I feel a LOT better now. Especially fb (hatebook). I always felt "dirty" after scrolling through there. You know, like when you go to a game at Bramlege.
On this day in 2022, I have been off of Hatebook for one week now. My blood pressure is lower, my attitude is better and I'm starting to like people that I had grown to ........extremely dislike because of their political rants and general all around negativity.

@Jethro I design heating and air systems. After 24 years, I can do it in one day as opposed to a couple of weeks when I first started. Self should be able to coach on a moment's notice. My opinion.

I just figure that CU bailed because they didn't want a national ass-whoopin. They bailed from the conference because they were tired of getting spanked at least twice per year, so it's not a big deal to bail on another game.

My wife and I got ours Saturday (at Sam's Club. You can get them at any pharmacy, McDonald's or gas station) My wife's shoulder was sore for a couple of days. Mine for a couple of hours. No other side effects. Ours was Moderna. We're both 63.
Just because I'm an ass, I'll throw in that I never get a flu shot, but we got vaccinated because it's the socially responsible thing to do. I have no regard for anyone who isn't vaccinated unless there's a really damn good reason.

@Marco I believe he should be suspended a lot longer than 2 games. His lying "potentially" put his teammates, coaches and fans in danger. He's a lying, narcissistic diva and needs to be dealt with accordingly.

@Marco Here's my take:
The Chiefs offense sucks because Mahomes quit being Mahomes when he started making half a BILLION dollars. On top of that, Part owner of the Royals and Whattaburger and making 47 commercials are distracting him from being a football player. He is a moneymaker. He makes money whether the Chiefs suck or not. He is done - we've seen the last of Patrick Mahomes the football player.
Oh - and the defense has always sucked. They just had the original Patrick Mahomes to bail them out and outscore the other team. If I haven't already mentioned it - that Patrick Mahomes is done.
