@justanotherfan That's a pretty fair assessment, Mahomes has to always be aggressive. But there's a fine line sometimes between aggressive and careless. I think he crossed that line last night. Hopefully he'll watch the tape ( I guess it's not "tape" anymore, huh?) and learn from it. If the defense can shore things up, I think we'll be fine.
@justanotherfan I'm not arguing with you personally, but I don't think Mahomes is the best player in the league. One of the most athletically gifted for sure. But the best player in the league doesn't throw a dumbass Jr High interception while falling down (Yes, I know he's made plays like that before, but it's really dumb) and when the ball is hiked over his head you run back and fall on it - not pick it up and get an intentional grounding call to make things even worse.
I guess it says something about your football program when you're fairly enthused after getting beaten by 27 points, but I am. I didn't get to see a lot of the game, but what I did see, it seemed like we're faster that we usually are - more athletic. I'm still confused by the score when I look at the stat sheet. When I see that, I'd think maybe we got beat by 7 - 10 points. Anyway, it wasn't a 63-0 drubbing and I'm pretty happy about that. Who knows what the future will bring?

In view of what's been (is happening) the past couple of years, I find myself not caring what league we're in at all. Or if we're even in a league. Or if there's even organized sports any more. I have reached the point of not caring one way or the other about sports and politics - spolitics.
@wissox My best friend is a huge Yankees fan. She wasn't all that happy. I watched a little bit. I'm not a big fan of (watching) baseball, but that was a pretty cool concept.

If you're not a Christian - today's a very good day to consider it. I was strictly anti-Christian until I was 32. Things changed and now I sleep at night. I have peace. I am not afraid. I'm not perfect, I don't like the way things are going in the world today, but I try not to dwell on the negative and keep my focus on Him.

@mayjay If it's true, it's very easy for me to be upset. I thought we were ALL supposed to be Americans. Do we need to have national anthems for all races? Then we can make sporting events last - 12, 13 hours.
I'd actually prefer no national anthem, period. Show up to the game, get your pop (or beer) and sit down and watch the event.

@Jhawk69 You surprised me twice in this one! I would say a hearty AMEN! to Perry Ellis, but I would never have thought to mention any One and Done on an all decade team. In my opinion, the OAD's were all very good athletes, but none of them made KU a better team.

@Marco - If google (and my lame math skills) serve me correctly -Gonzaga's record over the last 10 years is 312 - 41 (.884).
Kansas' record for the same time frame is 285 - 72 (.798)
Ours has been "helped. scoff.scoff" with a plethora of one and dones. Gonzaga has had one. EVER.
Somewhere in one of these posts, someone asked if athleticism or intelligence was the deciding factor in great teams. Obviously, you have to be able to dribble, pass and shoot, but I vote for intelligence. I'd like to never see another one and done in Lawrence.

It's 100% my fault. I sat on the wrong side of the couch. Didn't have my lucky socks on. (Who thought you'd need lucky damn socks to beat USC?) Didn't turn and watch Mr Robot after we got down 10. (That always helps when I turn the channel for 20-30 minutes). I guess it all worked out, though. If we eventually would have gotten (had) to play Gonzaga, they would have beaten us like a rented mule. Honestly, I think they'd have won by 100. That would be a nice little asterisk to their referee induced perfect season.
