I welcome you to the game, but I would like to see the alums sitting somewhere besides courtside. Don't you like the energy the students bring at Cameron? I know it will never happen, but I just mention this preference once a year.
I still wish KU would move the alumni seats so students were courtside opposite the TV halfcourt camera. Students bring energy. Gray hairs just bring gray hair. Duke's seating as Cameron is the correct way to do it.
Poor Coach Calipari, he was only able to use one sub in the first half. Against Texas AM-Commerce. Who?

Getting ready to watch Duke & Ariz. Of the 15 players for Duke, 8 players are listed at 6'9" or taller. 3 players are 7' or taller. I remember posting last year that because they can and no one else can, why not play a brief lineup with all 3 of the footers, the 6'10" guy and one of the 6'9" shorties. Just because they can.
@Crimsonorblue22 I read on the Rupp Rafters that a poster expects their big guys to be out; the poster referred to 3, 7 footers being out, whoever they may be. Last game, Kentucky started Mitchel, 6'8" as their only big with 4 guards.

I like that switch, Hunter can clearly stretch the floor and be used in the high post for passing as well. Sets KJ up near the basket to use his athleticism and ability to finish at the rim easier, get's him easy basket opportunities and keeps him from having to much outside his comfort zone.
KJ struggled in the paint during NC Central game. KJ was fed in the post and elected to lay it in. I yelled Dunk that Shit and I'm sure he heard me (I was sitting at home) because he shook his head after the make. Soon after, KJ was again fed in the post and missed the dunk. Tough game for him, but I look forward to better games from him and Parker.

With the post thing it's tough cause KJ has been mostly playing in the post. We are essentially playing two bigs but Hunter is the 4 offensively. I think this is the way it has to be.
OK, now that's interesting: Dickinson plays the 4 on the offensive end and 5 on defense. Then, we should see more Parker Braun if he continues to play well and less KJ. But on the defensive end, KJ would seem to be the better defender at the 4. Oh my, what will our head coach ever do? Just as long as we f___ up Kentucky on Tuesday.

I would not want to get caught in the Bronx section of Manhattan KS.
Named Manhattan College, but located in the Bronx. Fewer students, 3200 than my high school back when it was only Soph-Sr. Leading scorer Rouzan is 6'8", the rest of the starters are guards. The only other big is a freshman from China, 6'9". So, I'm curious how Dickinson will approach this game. Even Coach mentioned after the NC Central game that he thought Dickinson would have (should have?) played more in the post. I like that KU schedules these schools; I enjoy looking up the school and trying to figure out what's a Jasper. I'm looking forward to AZ playing well against Duke, then watching our guys get better.

I was really surprised to see Coach returning to his early high low offense with Hunter at the FT line and Parker down low. Parker showed some athleticism on several plays. Parker is just getting started at KU; I don't understand posters who have already given up on him ever helping KU. I'm an older brother and I've always had more dog than my younger brother. Let's just sit back and see if big brother, Parker has more dog than his younger brother.
Well, hell after holding on by fingernails for the win at ISt, KU must find a way to get past Tex Tech. Was ISt's rush defense that good or did our Oline just flat out fail to make the trip? Please tell me Neal and Hit-em-in-the-Mouth Hishaw will get back to world domination on Saturday. TT has the 5th best overall defense in the B12; Kansas is 9th. TT's rush defense is 7th in the B12 at 141/gm. KU favored by 3.5 thanks to playing at home. Let's just hope this doesn't come down to making a FG for the win.
I'm looking forward to watching part of the #12 Arizona/Duke game at 6 C on ESPN2 Friday before our game. AZ put up 122 pts in its opener. I sure hope it does the same against Duke.

I swear I saw Juan take the last long shot to end the half. Yet, ESPN shows he took no shots in 25 minutes of play.

Kentucky started 4 guards and Tre Mitchell against New Mex St. I sure wish we were playing Kentucky tonight.

For me, I'm just going to enjoy and accept Jason Bean for all his faults and successes. KU is 7-2, ranked 19 and two of the next three games are against easier opponents. If anyone would have predicted in August 2022 that KU would have been this successful, I would have laughed and called them crazy. I'm really glad Jason suck around this year. He gives us our best chance to win every remaining game.

I still like Tyreek. I don't mind his comment about the Chiefs shouldn't have traded him. KC was definitely better when he was on the team, so I miss his stellar play. As long as he doesn't beat KC, I'll still like him.
Nice first half. McDuffie mugged Tyreek and forced the fumble; fun return TD after the fumble. Travis Kels sure hasn't done much: 2 rec, 7 yds. Good grief, we have a whole day of NFL after the Chiefs win this one (I hope).

Beautiful stadium. Here I just thought Frankfurt was just another name for a hotdog. So, Andy's team waited until Friday to get to Germany, while the much smarter fins got there on Tuesday. All the Chiefs will be playing jetlagged and the Dolphins will be much better adjusted. I saw that Mrs. Mahomes was in NY hanging with Kelsey's girlfriend. I'm guessing they will travel to Germany together to watch the game. I can't believe it, but Kelsey plays better with Taylor in the house. Oh yeah, according to his dad, we are pronouncing Travis's name wrong; it's Kels, not Kel see.

I'm going to fondly remember Big Play Jared Casey as one of my favorite Jayhawks. That first down catch sealed the win. Awkward pass from Bean, but Big Play Casey hauled it in. Now KU gets TT Red Raiders at home next Saturday. I'm fine with Jason Bean and I no longer pay any attention to speculation about Jalen's back injury. This is Bean's team and Bean's season.

Before the game the announcers said its cut longer than most fields. They said players needed to change their spikes.

Continuing the discussion that Jballer started in the News Feeds, I'm enjoying the positive attention that KU football is getting: "Jason Bean is faster on the field than Tyreek Hill." I love it. Like Texas-Hawk 10 points out, it's time for Lance and the team to take the next step and win the road games. That starts tonight with IState. If KU can eliminate the TOs, it will do just fine against an IState team that has enjoyed a very weak Big 12 schedule. Tied for first in the Big 12; give me a break. I can't believe we are underdogs tonight. The Homecoming win over the See You Laters was great. Being bowl eligible again is great. Now, let's beat the Cyclones and ruin their homecoming festivities. Come on Lance and Andy, win with this game with solid play and no failed, silly trick plays.
Well hell, I guess KU could just phone in a forfeit. The mighty Cyclones are 4-1 and tied for first in the Big 12. Big wins over Baylor, Cincinnati, TCU and yeah, yeah OState. Who the hell makes these schedules? Let's just hope our QB gets over his tendency for TOs and gets back to solid play. KU is going to do just fine in this one.

@stoptheflop Think you may end up disappointed by how Self handles this "game". We will have to see but I can't imagine him handling it like a real game with tight rotations.
Oh, I won't be disappointed no matter how Coach chooses the lineups. I really enjoy the start of the season. I will miss playing a small Kansas college this year.
