Wow were the 16 games yesterday fun or what? Big KU win and some sweet upsets. 16 more games today. I'm hoping Tex Tech and Texas hold serve. And that Iowa St and TCU pull the upsets. I sure didn't think Creighton looked good for the first 30 minutes of their game.

@Kcmatt7 I think this has been answered, but KU is one win away from tying Kentucky in all time wins. KU is now +3 wins over Kentucky after beating Tx S and started the season with 2,323 wins vs. Kentucky's 2327 wins. RC

How many Kentucky fans do you suppose are watching?

Hawks starting to put on a show. Southern may be tired

Good for Mitch. All Jayhawks at heart

Texas Southern Game Thread • Mar 18, 2022 02:49 AM

Too many timeouts in the tournament. No way players can get into the flow

Southern looks better tonight

Not one word from the TV talking heads about our game

@Bosthawk said in Texas Southern Game Thread:

I’ve got my garrett jersey on, a sextet of brew nearby, and a bottle of antacid tablets.
I’d love a blowout tonite, so I don’t have a blowout cardiac-wise :)

The tourney is what it is.. #7 kenpom Kentucky went down to #107 st Pete’s. No way to predict that

Kentucky losing means nothing until we win

@jayballer67 6 blocks stand out to me. 4 by Southern and 2 by the Islanders.

Both coaches have played 10 players by the 7 minute mark of the first half. Kind of surprising.

Conference Tournaments • Mar 13, 2022 10:15 PM

I like KU's bracket just fine.

@mayjay Feeding Dave seems sound, but Dave never gets fair foul calls. So, feed Dave and he gets hacked until he turns it over is the likely senario.

Which player for KU will be the one willing to take the critical shot in the tournament? You know its coming; one minute to play and KU must get a basket. I remember Devonte Graham with the ball in his hands and everyone knew he was the guy who would make the shot. Frank Mason too. Somehow I can't see Ochai as that guy. He seems to disappear in games; Braun too. Who is going to be the guy with the ball in his hands at clutch time?

David McCormick was absolutely a beast in the tournament. Hacked by 2 and 3 guys everytime he had the ball in the paint. He maintained his composure and just scored the ball. RC Big Dave.

So what region will KU be the Number 1 seed?

I have to say, we really need Remy's offense even though he's a defensive liability. His scoring the last 2 games was critical to both wins.

OK I take back everything negative I complained about with JWill. He just waited until the last 8 minutes to get his 12 pts. I'll be more patient in the future.

Ochai is way to quiet. Come on man its the championship game

I’m eating pizza at home and I’ve scored just as many points as Harris and Wilson

Remy with 10 pts needs to be in. Harris 0 pts get out

Horns Down Game Thread • Mar 12, 2022 11:28 PM

Wilson and Harris with 0 points.

Wilson has again failed to show up

Non-KU Games • Mar 12, 2022 02:33 PM

Kentucky v. Tennessee will be interesting. 2 PM Central on ESPN. The two teams split during conference play. I sure love rooting against Kentucky.

TCU Triple Play Game Thread • Mar 12, 2022 12:59 PM

Wilson and Braun had fewer points than I would have expected. In 32 min Wilson was 4/6 9 pts and only 2 rbs. Braun played 33 min 4/11 for 9 pts. I sure hope these two have monster games against Tech. KU can't count on Lightfoot and Remy to carry the water every game. But I sure enjoyed their games against TCU

TCU Triple Play Game Thread • Mar 12, 2022 01:37 AM

See the handshake line when done by class players is a very pleasant part of the game

TCU Triple Play Game Thread • Mar 12, 2022 01:36 AM

Teahan makes me smile.

TCU Triple Play Game Thread • Mar 12, 2022 01:29 AM

Good lord: Lightfoot with 15 and Remy with 10 bench points. WOW!

TCU Triple Play Game Thread • Mar 12, 2022 01:13 AM

KU is flat out taking care of the ball: 2 TOs to 15 for the frogs.

TCU Triple Play Game Thread • Mar 12, 2022 01:08 AM

Remy is feeling it

TCU Triple Play Game Thread • Mar 12, 2022 12:36 AM

Lampkin's 3/5 and 7 pts isn't going to beat us

TCU Triple Play Game Thread • Mar 12, 2022 12:35 AM

OK guys, KU must avoid Texas's 2nd half when they only scored 20 points to the frog's 43

TCU Triple Play Game Thread • Mar 12, 2022 12:24 AM

Martin is filling it. Fun

TCU Triple Play Game Thread • Mar 12, 2022 12:20 AM

Why are Wilson and DMac still playing?

Zach SZN Game Thread • Mar 10, 2022 09:53 PM

Unofficially KU is outrebounding WV by 46 to 26.

Zach SZN Game Thread • Mar 10, 2022 09:52 PM

Yes, Dave has been back to his Freshman self at the line the second half of the season.

Non-KU Games • Mar 09, 2022 11:35 PM

ESPN favors KSt by 1.5. Does the losing coach tonight lose his job?

Horns Down Game Thread • Mar 05, 2022 11:17 PM

Unofficial stats show 3 KU players with double-doubles: DMac 22 and 10 rbs, JWil 17 and 13 and CB 13 and 11. WOW

Horns Down Game Thread • Mar 05, 2022 10:17 PM

Despite missing a few close ones, Dave is having a good game. At least he's playing aggressive.

Horns Down Game Thread • Mar 05, 2022 10:10 PM

No KU player has more than 2 fouls, so everyone should play aggressively.
