@FarmerJayhawk Yeah I agree. He has instilled a winning culture and yesterday it really seemed to sink into heads that they can win. They've had such an easy schedule that a lot around here have predicted major downfall the last 6 games and well, they're now 1-0 in those 6 games!

Today, I Hate Football • Nov 29, 2025 11:18 PM

@nuleafjhawk Wow, didn't realize about the youngest ever.

Today, I Hate Football • Nov 29, 2025 10:29 PM

@SlimShaddy54 I hope you know how much I hate the Packers. Like I hate Missouri and I hate gb and their gross colored unis more than anything in this world besides certain vegetables and speaking of vegetables the orange man.

Utah blowout • Nov 29, 2025 09:10 PM

Coaching had a lot to do with the loss. I know the kicker missed early, but if we play to our strength and run the ball, 3 red zone TO's turn into 9 points and take 7 off their score and we win this game. After the first pic in the end zone maybe learn from that so it doesn't happen again.

Today, I Hate Football • Nov 29, 2025 08:50 PM

@nuleafjhawk Sayers and Douglas predate me by a little. Wish I could have seen Sayers play. One of the GOATS.

Today, I Hate Football • Nov 29, 2025 05:44 PM

This will cheer you up. In the last two seasons, the Jayhawks have led in the 4th quarter of 19 of those 24 games.

Oh and the Bears are 9-3! Some of us are happy!

Other games 2025-2026 • Nov 29, 2025 01:25 AM

TCU wins the little tournament out west by beating Florida and the Badgers. I couldn't watch mainly because youtubetv messed up my recording, but they had us down 19 before UW narrowed it to look respectable. I think TCU is gonna be a tough out this year.

Utah blowout • Nov 29, 2025 01:14 AM

Oh JD I tried to defend you and you let me down!

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 07:29 PM

I know I'm gonna jinx us but we haven't committed many penalties today.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 07:27 PM

There goes the refs replay machine.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 07:14 PM

That's the JD you all hate and I kind of hate it right now. Throwing it away? Throw it to the tuba section for goodness sakes.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 07:13 PM

Oh good grief

@Crimsonorblue22 Did they mention it on TV? I only saw 1 guy wide open past all of us.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 06:51 PM

Dang Jalon's inaccuracy is pretty bad right now.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 06:49 PM

Wow we scored 2 touchdowns last drive but only credited us with one. Then we get a fumble, and refs are like no it can't be.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 06:01 PM

Wow, holy overthrow

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 05:54 PM

Lance deserves from blame. We had a 2nd down play early in their drive that we forced a 4 or so yard loss. So it would have been like 3rd and 6 or 7, but accept the penalty and it so it was 2nd and 7. That made zero sense, gave them an extra play to gain the first which they did on that sideline catch that wasn't. That was a headscratching decision.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 05:51 PM

The ruling on the field is we need a B12 team in the tournament field. So screw you Kansas

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 05:47 PM

They should've asked after everyone standing right there. That's a horsecrap call.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 05:45 PM

heels are across the line.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 05:43 PM

Lance you should've declined that penalty.

Yes they did. Fair caught at the 10.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 05:42 PM

Kamara is the bright spot in the defense.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 05:29 PM

Case in point. KU drive results in TD and boom, just like that we're losing again.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 05:28 PM

I really don't think he's perfect but I think this season you've been projecting his rough season from last year onto this. He hasn't made critical mistakes like last year. I'm not positive he's ever fully recovered from his injury problems of 2-3 years ago. You don't get preseason player of the year recognition in the Big12 without being something special. And so Grimes rushed him back last year thinking he was fully recovered. The JD that people here hate was the first half of last season which I think was coaching malpractice when we had oodles of offensive talent.

21 TD's, 4 ints, now 5 this season. And don't forget, we're not fighting for a bowl game today if we had even a mediocre defense. JD matched a lot of teams score for score this season only to have the misfortune of watching the D cough it up late.

Utah blowout • Nov 28, 2025 05:05 PM

Looks like Jalon Daniels slander thread. Guess I won't chat today because I happen to think Jalon is one of the better QB's we've had.

Some Buckets gold • Nov 28, 2025 01:45 AM

@approxinfinity I don't quite know what that all means but do what you think is best. We appreciate you a lot for keeping us together!

Some Buckets gold • Nov 28, 2025 01:32 AM

That game thread had almost 700 comments! Our game threads don't approach those numbers these days.

Some Buckets gold • Nov 28, 2025 01:30 AM

Tagged old favorite @dynomitehawk in a comment, and I clicked on his name. For those not familiar, he (she?) was a very entertaining commenter with a memorable catchphrase "Hide yo kids" at the beginning of every game thread. When I selected his name I saw a game thread against Duke from Nov 2016. A lot of us been around a long time here it appears. It was fun to read. Here it is.

Happy Thanksgiving! Be grateful! • Nov 27, 2025 11:47 PM

PHOF!!!

Great post! The twitterverse is full of we’re back baby type of posts. Of course last year had a promising start after winning the month of November in the champions game and beating Duke. This maybe feels different.

I don’t think after the UNC game there were any were back baby feelings around here. I think there were some ‘first KU team not to make the tourney since Bush1’ posts.

I was just really excited to see guys finishing at the rim. Bidungas length was neutralized by their size, but by double teaming Flory the guards had an early turkey day beast at the rim which opens up the arc for dessert and the FT stripe for leftovers. It was a joyous half to watch.

The feast hangover hopefully is gone by Tuesday because Hurley took notes on us I imagine. A follow up win sets us up for the grind ahead. Gonna be a war but maybe this year we have the weapons to help us feast on others.

@approxinfinity I agree. From a Chicago Jayhawk perspective it's been a few rough years. The Sox disaster, the Bears disaster, Bulls disaster, Blackhawks disaster, Jayhawks disaster and Badgers disaster has made the last few sports years rough from my perspective. I've always been able to rely on the hooping Jayhawks to make me happy to be a fan, except for the 3 years since the championship.

Yes, thankful for Phog and Larry and Roy and Bill and all the greats they brought to Lawrence.

Other games 2025-2026 • Nov 27, 2025 04:11 AM

Yeah, it does look Michigan had the best week in Vegas.

The morons who call it "phog allen fieldhouse". (I don't expect everyone to know but it's Allen Fieldhouse!!

Meanwhile Kentucky handled Tennessee Tech.

Kansas vs Tennessee game thread • Nov 27, 2025 02:34 AM

@approxinfinity Wow, but are we better than Michigan?

Kansas vs Tennessee game thread • Nov 27, 2025 02:23 AM

We're also blocking a lot of shots and in top 10 nationally and improved on our average of 6.9 with 8 tonight. Tennessees length worried me but they didn't bother our team as much.

Kansas vs Tennessee game thread • Nov 27, 2025 02:21 AM

Through 7 games on the NCAA stats page we're 9th in the country on 3 point percentage defense at 24%. Tennessee torched us for 28% but seemingly they were all in the first half. This tournament was great for 3 point defense for us. Seems like we forced a lot of bad threes this week.

Kansas vs Tennessee game thread • Nov 27, 2025 02:16 AM

My daughter and SIL are here, wanted to watch a movie. I said there's a good one called Michigan-Gonzaga, but they didn't want to watch.

Kansas vs Tennessee game thread • Nov 27, 2025 02:13 AM

When White stupidly fouled out I was kind of upset. But Jamari and ElMarko combine for 24 points, go 4-6 on 3's, make 9 of 10 FTs. I wonder what would have happened if Self had played them more instead of DaJuan?

Kansas vs Tennessee game thread • Nov 27, 2025 02:01 AM

@RockChalkinTexas said in Kansas vs Tennessee game thread:

That's all they are going to show about our win?

When the studio crew includes 2 of the fab 5 well Michigan's gonna get talked about I guess.

Kansas vs Tennessee game thread • Nov 27, 2025 02:00 AM

@nuleafjhawk We had to suffer through it and you were probably watching Bambi ... or eating Bambi if it's hunting season there.

Kansas vs Tennessee game thread • Nov 27, 2025 01:58 AM

@rcjhdraft Best win since Duke a year ago I'd say. I thought the sky was the limit after that win.

Kansas vs Tennessee game thread • Nov 27, 2025 01:55 AM

That's it, recs for every comment in the next 3 minutes!

Kansas vs Tennessee game thread • Nov 27, 2025 01:53 AM

We can thank Mr. Blacksleave for fouling Flory late in the shotclock. Ricky was pissed at him. Yanked him out. Looks like the poor kid thought he was supposed to foul. But I think our defense holds them anyway.

@nuleafjhawk we lost by 42. Everyone's pissed.

Kansas vs Tennessee game thread • Nov 27, 2025 01:49 AM

I finally caught up to live! What a blast this has been. We were beheaded, dressed and ready to be cooked in the oven when these petersonless turkeys resurrected themselves and won this thing. This is an exhilerating win when considering what I was expecting without DP.

Other games 2025-2026 • Nov 26, 2025 09:24 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 Yeah, as we well know, peaking in November is no guarantee of March success!

@BeddieKU23 I hope Matt Painter gets a title one of these years. Seems like a guy that's doing things right.
