Just looking at the box. We are so pumped about a deep KU squad for a change, and I don't see any bench players that have proven anything so far. They've contributed 5 points collectively tonight. That's not what we wanted from them. So yes Fran, Silvio would help a lot as others have pointed out. I trust in Garrett and Lightfoot somewhat, but more as minor role players. These boys have got to step up!

I'm gonna eat a little crow here: I went on ESPN over lunch time and when I looked at their college hoops page it was plastered with Duke stuff. We played a nice game yesterday, nearly coughed it up of course, but we were playing against an experienced opponent too, but thought we deserved some of the spotlight with Duke who admittedly was very good last night.
My favorite Dakich moment was when he got schooled by Jason Benetti last year in AFH. (disclaimer, Benetti is a personal favorite, an up and coming broadcaster who happens to be the Sox' play by play guy. He's also a victim of cerebral palsy and is really impressive.) Dakich early in the game said something about the Jayhawks needing Graham to play well in order to win the game. And while I don't remember the exact quote, Benetti basically said 'way to state the obvious Dan'.
I think Duke and Kentucky are in our heads a little bit too. Just an opinion remember, but we spend a lot of time focused on them. When we have a narrative in our heads that so and so receives preferential treatment from whomever we'll look for the slightest evidence for that. It's called group think I believe. We're kind of guilty of that here.
Don't forget our biggest win of last season hinged on a call that KU received against Duke during crunch time of that classic game. Duke fans are still whining about it. Funny to see really.

I tire of the ratface/cal/ratzo/etc. insults. I don't like any of the men much to be honest but they are people.
I tire of the ESPN hates us comments. Saw so many comments like that. The large majority of our games will be on ESPN this season! Give it up!
I really tire of the Vitale hate. Some of us have always liked the guy, although I admit he is getting past his prime.
I admit I'm guilty of most of these at certain times.
I also tire of the refs hate us comments I am extremely guilty of this sin and must repent of it.
I don't have 95 theses like Martin Luther did, but I do have a few complaints. We have a great place to hang out here. I'd like to keep it that way. IDK, but I probably check here 366 days a year or more, but like I said, this is just my opinion.
@BShark I don't like using this word because it's a family name, but Greene's "Dick move" would actually benefit the team, even though it's classless. Not sure I want to see teams taking meaningless shots for a little extra boost in their power ranking. It probably won't happen for top seeds like us, but a 22 win team needing that extra boost will be trying to score more points, jacking up 3's when it's not necessary.

@dylans Interesting. That doesn't diminish Simmons skills either. Simmons is an amazing player who will probably become the next person to average a triple double in a season.
41 points, 13 rebounds tonight, four blocks too. The man is becoming a machine. I know I ripped him the other day, but wow, just wow! Averaging 27 a game and 12 boards. By the way his triple double machine teammate Ben Simmons had one the other day with points, boards and turnovers!
