If you get a chance, ISU-ILL. Bill Walton and Jason Benetti on the Mic. Benetti is a great straight man to Walton. ESPN2 right now. Good game too.

As an unbiased observer that game was a blast to watch, at least the last 8 minutes that I saw.

I did predict their football team would lose once however.

@jaybate-1-0 has been spending the last month writing his next post.

Other Games Tonight • Nov 20, 2018 04:01 AM

There's no one in KC watching TTech/USC

Other Games Tonight • Nov 20, 2018 03:53 AM

I don't care that much except for a strong big12 is good for KU. There have been 3 total head scratching calls that has Walton, normally an arizona supporter baffled.

Refs helping out Arizona against ISU at the end here.

MILES IS NEW COACH • Nov 19, 2018 06:24 PM

Do we still have the coach with Louisiana ties, Hull I think his name is?

MILES IS NEW COACH • Nov 19, 2018 01:56 PM

Signing Les is a bonus to our basketball program. What impact might this have on basketball recruiting? I'd say it won't hurt too much, not sure if it will help that much either.

This game is a little personal. I've never cheered for Marquette, but a friend of mine has two grandsons that play, start, and actually are pretty prominent members of the Marquette team. The two Hauser brothers are the Grandsons of my friend Steve F in Antigo, WI where we lived fofr quite some time. I'm not a close enough friend that it would change my cheering allegiances just for this game however so it's Rock Chalk Jayhawk.

KU has yet to play Wisconsin since I began following the Badgers in the late '90's. Kind of hard to believe since both have been so consistently good. Steph Curry ruined the closest they came to playing in 2008 when Davidson blew out the Badgers in the game before they faced our National Champs.

@mayjay Probably the highest high and lowest low between 2 games in KU basketball history.

@Gorilla72 True because if it was a gameday imagine how much water would have built up while he was watching!

Sorry for your troubles. Hope it all works out soon for you.

Other Games Tonight • Nov 18, 2018 02:39 AM

My niece just graduated from Furman. They've beaten half of last years final four this year because last weekend they knocked off Loyola.

Ethan Happ is now the all time rebounding leader at Wisconsin.

Give me Jay Wright and his 2 of the last 3 years championships at KU of course. That's what it's all about.

KU Is Not Even A Top 25 Team • Nov 17, 2018 03:53 AM

Maybe BShark is coach selfs wife or something and is trying to motivate the team.

KU Is Not Even A Top 25 Team • Nov 17, 2018 03:48 AM

There was a guy last year on Buckys5thquarter, the SB nation site for the Badgers who in the midst of their undefeated season (until the big 10 championship game) declared nearly every game over and then UW came back and won. I always told him I'll enjoy the comeback which of course always happened. Don't be that man BShark! We beat a top 10 MSU, a tournament team in Vermont, and a team picked to win their conference. OAD's have made mid majors more dangerous than ever as they bring juniors and seniors out to play against inexperienced freshmen. We started pretty roughly last year too, made the final 4. We are one of the most talented teams in the country.

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:48 AM

I wonder what the longest shot is that Doke has ever made at KU?

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:46 AM

Doke needs to slow down on his FT's

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:45 AM

@Bwag Been an entertaining game. Not much D happening. Makes it seem a little less frustrating.

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:41 AM

I didn't say it's not, I just said I'm not sure!

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:37 AM

Not really sure this is the #2 team in the country.

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:35 AM

Grime nary a dime

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:30 AM

ESPN+ has worked well for me too. Just a bit upset that it used to be free and worked good enough and now it aint free no mo.

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:27 AM

Vick is so athletic.

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:19 AM

We had two of the great finishers the last few years. Frustrating to watch guys not finishing.

@Crimsonorblue22 Yes!

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:17 AM

I don't ever remember a higher volume dunker than Doke

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:14 AM

They called the same thing on the Badgers the other night. We were all perplexed.

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 02:12 AM

My last name is Gantz, no relation to the UL player.

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 01:52 AM

Ok, I checked it out with the budget director. I'm in. Joined just in time to see the lane wide open for 2 LA baskets.

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 01:43 AM

4.99 for one game or is that like a month?

Louisiana Game Thread • Nov 17, 2018 01:41 AM

Anyway to watch this game? Grrrrrr.....my love/hate relationship with ESPN continues.

@KUSTEVE Not sure how long. The Lake Pontchertrain bridge is 26 miles, but that's at New Orleans.

I got no gators. We did like to discover them in the wild. No accent attained so none to lose.

This guy has the best English version of Cajun accents.

Zydeco breakfast in Breaux Bridge. Get there early on Saturday mornings to enjoy the fun! This. is right next to Lafayette

Hey thanks for the reminders of our former home, or at least pretty nearby. Lafayette is the heart of Cajun country, not New Orleans! This is a place with rich culture and even a French dialect that some people still speak. We loved going to some of the great festivals in Lafayette. We'd have to cross one of America's longest bridges over the enormous Atchafalaya swamp to get there from Baton Rouge. The food is great. Crawfish farms abound in the lands around Lafayette. The mudbugs mainly come from those fields. As a town, Lafayette is kind of non-descript, but the people and culture really make it.

The Next Coach • Nov 14, 2018 07:35 PM

@kjayhawks I don't follow college football closely enough to comment obviously. I thought Weiss had done fairly well at ND. What about Mangino? Was that a hire that made sense? He had no HC experience as I recall. Obviously it worked out fabulously, but sometimes hires make perfect sense and they don't work out and other times they make no sense and work out.

The Next Coach • Nov 14, 2018 06:41 PM

Charlie Weiss was successful (more or less) at ND and was a flop here. Not sold on the idea that someone can come here based on success elsewhere. Remember Les got run out of town 2 years ago. I remember it well. I lived there, heard all my friends rip their NC winning coach up and down. I said you won't really appreciate what you had until he's gone, then it's too late. He did have some flaws. But I always liked him and would love to see him at KU.

@tundrahok Didn't the announcer say BMac made 8 of 8 once?

Vermont Game Thread • Nov 13, 2018 03:55 AM

ESPN leaves KU games as fast as possible.

Vermont Game Thread • Nov 13, 2018 03:47 AM

Grimes has the dub dub now.

Vermont Game Thread • Nov 13, 2018 03:45 AM

I think Grimes needs one more assist for a double double.

Vermont Game Thread • Nov 13, 2018 03:44 AM

The way he shoots FT's I'd rather they didn't call fouls committed against him.
