This is fun!
ISU must suck to be letting us do this to them.
I take back what I wrote about our defense. Well not really, but they're hot right now.
Looking like what we were expecting this year to look like.
If ISU scored every time they had the ball it'd be tough to win this contest.
Defense was good for 2 plays.
Seems like the first time all year they've connected on a play like that.
That's the KU airshow of old!
So whadya all think about the basketball team?!!
Preseason all league but he was hands on that WR the entire time.
Our defense couldn't stop the Lawrence HS freshmen team
@kjayhawks Worst play call of the year is saying something after this disaster of a season.
@Crimsonorblue22 Shoelace away from going all the way.
Whadya think? Who's got this?
I say we lose a close one in the 4th. Don't know why.
In other games last night #22 UCLA lost to Nevada. #24 Mississippi only beat Grambling by 2. All BIG 12 entries won their matchups with Colorado coming the closest to an upset (?) when the beat N. Colorado by 2.

So uh, no worries about Zeke Mayo's game translating up anymore lol
None. I was one of the skeptics.
I saw a lot of the Storr that I told you about. Alley oops, nice finishes, and some ugly drives into nothing. I don't pay attention to defense much but I was trying with him specifically a bit last night. I always think someone as athletic as he should be able to D up anyone around his size. But I think he plays soft and then when he sees the guy he's supposed to be stopping ready to make a shot or drive he hustles over there with predictable results ending in points scored.
I did see some trust in him by Self that surprised me. Thought he'd get pulled a couple of times, like after taking on 3 guys at one, but tonight Self left him in. After game 1 Self said he's not getting it. Maybe AJ earned some trust last night.
I wish I hadn't seen the final score while in the car. Was going to watch after arriving at my folks, but man o man, I wish you all could have seen the northern lights and the stars here.Really amazing. I watched the game anyways, way more relaxed than i would have been if I didn't know the score. I think I would have been mad at the refs. But it was an exhilerating win.
@approxinfinity I had a dream last night that we beat UNC 92-89. I am traveling so I haven’t seen the game yet but I’ll be anxious to watch later and see the score.
Did anyone know SMU is in the ACC now? Dallas, Atlantic Coast, makes perfect sense. At least Stanford and Cali are on a coast.
@approxinfinity His dad owns a barbershop and Gianni has had hair like that ever since I've known him. He's very easy to keep an eye on when watching his team on TV!
Maybe the biggest upset so far. Columbia defeats Villanova at Nova. Fan part for me is one of my old students plays a bit as a freshman for Columbia and scored 2 points! Gianni Cobb, a name to watch and if you want, he's got All American hair. 🐦 View Tweet/photo/1
@approxinfinity Yeah, I heard that too. If Trump was really serious about deporting so many it'd be a huge middle finger at a population group that helped elect him.
BTW, They're not illegals. They're people looking for relief from the most horrible of situations and a nation full of descendants of Europeans who did the same from the 1600's to the 1900's have the gall to tell other migrants to this land they're not welcome. There, rant over!

@wissox In my mind, Harris didn't play into the equation at all. It's about why does America want to elect a degenerate, perverted convicted criminal? What makes that right? How does that reflect on us?
Until this morning, I naively believed that there was more good than evil in this country. I was wrong.
Not sure if it became clear in my response but I agree. I can't fathom why someone would vote for a convict. As an evangelical I'm really chagrined that the same people who railed on Clinton 25 years ago for his philandering would rally behind Trump. There's no Trump presidency without the Evangelicals which is mind boggling.
By incessantly talking only about abortion and not the economy pushed a lot of voters away from her and towards Trump. I hate the election result but would have only felt a little better if she had won.
@AsadZ There's a lot of Bears fans really miffed at his non use this year. He's been a productive back the last couple of years and just not used this year.
One I missed last night was Syracuse winning by only 4 over LeMoyne which I've never heard of.
@kjayhawks "Fritz is in his first year at Houston". Don't let the facts ruin my narrative! It looks a lot like you don't let facts ruin your narratives when you say he's a better coach than Leipold when that's the one team we've had our way with. I look at their schedule. Still not sure how you look at that and say better than leipold, especially when you have two bowl appearances in the last two seasons.
@BeddieKU23 Have you heard any of the talk that the NBA needs to eliminate the 3 ball?
1st day of season. 1 upset as UCF knocks off TEXAM. Court storming too. Poverty franchise fans court storm against poverty franchise team.
Texas, ranked 19 couldn't contain OhioSt and lost a wire to wire win for the Bucks.
Misery lost to Memphis and South Carolina lost to North Florida. SEC loses 4 games on the first day.
Baylor got it handed to them out in Spokane. Baylor always goes out and seeks good opponents early in the season, but that's a rough way to start as an 8th ranked team.
Everyone else in the league won. OKieSt had to come back to defeat UWGB as old friend Bryce T scored 22.
Robbie Avila, the wonderkid from Indiana St who transferred to St. Louis was going great guns until he rolled his ankle looking like he'll be sitting out for a bit.
Illinois had a great debut from a kid from Canada named Riley who scored 31 against EIU. Their shot chart was interesting to say the least. It reflects an NBA discussion on 3 pointers that have some calling for a removal of the line calling it boring. Looking at this chart I might agree. 🐦 View Tweet/photo/1
I now have 3 streaming services so I can watch all my teams. Head spinning stuff but at least I was able to cast the KU game on the TV and watch UW on the computer at the same time. It's the new reality and I don't necessarily like it.
But hats off to the upcoming season, will be fun as always!
ESPN is already in midseason form. Their wrap up about the first day of the season is generally about Duke.
I dig it. Maybe his dad was a ND fan of Digger Phelps
@RockChalkinTexas Who is what I asked. I have no clue who diggy? Diddy is what was mentioned by the way.
What are we, junior high kids? Who the heck is Diddy?
Wow, newcomers scored 53 of our 87 points.
@DanR LOL! Somehow my wife and I and our aging baby boomer selves have figured out how to make it work!
@nuleafjhawk No, we have a smart TV and can easily survive without it.
@RockChalkinTexas He started slowly last year I recall, but will go in spurts looking like this. Seems like Self is being patient with him in this one.
We're seeing the AJ Storr I was worried would show up.
@nuleafjhawk Thanks, but we don't have a remote.
Wow, I know the competition is weak, but Flory looks really good.
@Zabudda You prefer Dukes?
Hellmans Mayo on fire.
Then AJ turns into the turnover machine!
AJ!! Welcome to Lawrence!!
@DanR I hear you. Still adjusting to youtubetv.
How did Hunter look early on?
A star is born!
