Of course they pushed Wilson down in the end zone.

Why can't we have nice things?

I wonder if Jaybate is watching

We're the best 2-5 team in the country!

PHOF!!!!

@kjayhawks said in Beat Silo Tech! Lets save this football season!:

All because a senior can’t catch a wide open touchdown and a return man doesn’t know where the hell he is on the field. Middle school level football IQ by the Jayhawks. I’m okay with just cancel the program and pushing in the new stadium. Build a student union or something and join the Big East.

There's my what ifs from my original post. Those are all plays in a close one that are difference makers. But this one obviously is not over yet.

Wow, thought that was going to be a throw out of bounds.

Freeman just homered, 4-1 Dodgers. Here, we need to get a drive rolling and keep this from getting away from us.

Why did he try to catch it? No harm if he lets it go, right?

@AsadZ said in Beat Silo Tech! Lets save this football season!:

Skinner got to make that catch

I was waving the wheat. Assumed he caught it and then let go just a little early to celebrate!

Wow didn't see that reverse coming.

Really dumb to commit a foul right there.

Holy drops that was bad.

Gotta get Neal going.

There we go, with the facemask add on

Gotta get Neal going.

Yes! What a run by Morrison!!

OH no, is Neal hurt?

Kind of new to youtubetv. Does anyone know how to use multiview? Trying to put our game and UW on it and it won't let me.

@kjayhawks Thanks. So not a must win, although it basically is anyways.

When I started typing that the auto fill finished it for me. I'd typed the same headline I was thinking of using for today last basketball season, so I added the word football so no one was confused about what sport I was talking about!

Speaking of confused, I'm still confused about what to feel about this football team. As an alum I should care about every sport from hoops on down to cattle judging. (Oh congrats KState for your championship in that premiere sport.) But they've given me really only one team to cheer for since I first free soloed Mt. Oread in 1985. Basketball.

Football has been with two exceptions been the very ugly stepchild of one of the kings of the sports teams in our hoops team. So Lance wanted to make sure people wouldn't call him Sir Lance Lose Alot and won some games. Got us excited. And in the truest of fashions for our grid program turned the potentially most exciting season in the schools history into a huge bunch of weekly what ifs.
- What if grimes calls more run plays instead of inaccurate Daniels throwing? Same game what if UI hadn't been permitted to fumble the ball into the end zone and recover it there on a punt and have it ruled a touchback instead of a safety?
- What if 6 KU defenders just fall on an UNLV fumble instead of just falling on it?
- What if we don't blow a 11 point lead in last 3 minutes against WVU?
- What if we beat Az State? I forget what we did wrong to lose that one, but it certainly must have been something!
- What if we don't combine some shoddy defense and referees also make some shoddy calls against TCU?

Wow, that's a lot of what ifs! We're undefeated if all of those go our way? Been part of my confusion. I still think this is a talented team. I think we can win tonight on the talent part, but afraid I'm going to add to the what if list instead and lose like last year to them when someone missed a clearcut pick 6 that my 10 year old self could have caught and ran back for a game sealing play.

If a bowl game bid is on the line I think tonight is must win because Lindenwood is not the right classification team to count wins against. I might be wrong. If we can count it then slightly less importance tonight but have to win out the rest of the way.

Glad I can see it on my new youtubetv subscription. I might need to utilize the nifty 2-4 games at once feature they have and watch the UW game against St. Pen too, and then add the world series to it. In a perfect world one game would be at 11, the next at 2:30 and the WS at 7 and I could spend all day ignoring the yard work and the clogged drain and stupid lesson plans for next week.

Holy crap, watching on delay right now. The Sox new broadcaster John Schiffren did that game tonight for SEC network. He wasn't that great at baseball but maybe decent tonight?

Watched the first half, really not too interested in watching the 2nd half. 1st half was really helter skelter, ugly, non pleasing, set the game back 50 years type of thing. I was really just like no one get hurt. KJ flying over spectators for a loose ball. Why KJ? Why? Bidunga Kowabunga!! DaJuan looked like dasame player. Saw some flashes. Didn't see Storr do anything except miss some ugly 3's.

But who cares? I don't. Glad i got to see Freemans slam. That was the most exciting moment of the night.

USF coach Rahim died today • Oct 25, 2024 01:28 PM

@kjayhawks I was trying to remember the connection. His name seemed familiar with NBA teams to me.

I also had the same thoughts about 'minor procedure'. I recently had surgery on my thyroid which turned out to be cancerous. A 2nd 'minor procedure' is now scheduled. It will be my 3rd surgery 18 months. Not worried about cancer but more the rare problems that sometimes take people from us like what happened to Rahim.

Our Ladies still staying very aggressive • Oct 25, 2024 01:27 AM

Well Nebraska had to do something to let the fans in their football stadium see something good so they put their volleyball team in it.

USF coach Rahim died today • Oct 25, 2024 01:26 AM

I made a mistake, thought it said UCF, a team in our conference. Still sad, but not relevant.

USF coach Rahim died today • Oct 24, 2024 11:35 PM

Shocker. Young guy. Any team that does what his did to ours last season has some skill. Really sad.

Our Ladies still staying very aggressive • Oct 24, 2024 05:04 PM

@jayballer67 I happened across the match last night. We're winning 18-13 in 3rd set, they fell apart and lost the set. I checked back and saw them win the 4th set. The sport is really starting to draw eyeballs nationally. Not sure if any match would've been nationally televised on anything other than the conferences own networks. UW has two matches coming up on NBC. Unimaginable until just very recent. I follow them as they've had great success, multiple FF's and even a Natty.

The Yankees • Oct 24, 2024 01:14 AM

Two players who started the year for the Sox are now playing in the World Series, Kopech who admits he didn't listen to the Sox coaches and just wanted to throw fastballs, and Hill for the Yanks who was a near 6 ERA guy and was near 2 ERA guy in NY. What a turnaround for those guys.

KU Houston • Oct 20, 2024 11:04 PM

@kjayhawks "There are dozen of YouTube videos with good evidence." You had me til that line! If we're basing our theories, biases, slants, leans, etc on youtubers then we just need to say we've lost objectivity on this particular point.

KU Houston • Oct 20, 2024 11:00 PM

@nuleafjhawk Well great! Listened to Jayhawks, watched Badgers, went to church event. I think that if you go fishing from now on, the Jayhawks will win!

KU Houston • Oct 20, 2024 12:43 AM

@nuleafjhawk What'd you do today? :)

KU Houston • Oct 19, 2024 08:33 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 Too bad they don't play HS rules of 12 minute quarters!

KU Houston • Oct 19, 2024 08:09 PM

On radio it doesn't sound like anyone's there. Last play for 23 yards and there was no excitement heard from Hanni or the crowd.

KU Houston • Oct 19, 2024 08:06 PM

On radio feed that sounded like the KU defense of old.

KU Houston • Oct 19, 2024 07:58 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 Thanks for the generous offer! The Big 10 inexplicably decided to let Oregon basketball be shown on regular channels all season long. UW's AD must have really have pissed off the powers that be because 10 basketball games are on Peacock, and 5 more on BIG+. Oregon appears 1 time on Peacock and only a couple of games on BIG+. Crazy. So the decision was made to forego ESPN+ and the few KU games I'll miss for the sake of BIG sports which I really enjoy watching.

KU Houston • Oct 19, 2024 01:49 PM

BIG game today! Must win. Bowl eligibility? All of those bad breaks go our way and turn one score losses into one score wins. Two weeks to prepare. Houston, slow start as well but they beat TCU, which maybe we do too if replay officials weren't corrupted by gamblers and on field officials knew what a block in the back was!! @mayjay Yes, it's all rigged. Even you know it!

Wish I could watch. Seemingly every college makes it onto regular channels these days except us. But I'll be following, yelling at officials I can't see.

Look at the schedule! • Oct 16, 2024 05:07 PM

@rockchalkjayhawk KU-Duke on Stubhub right now fairly reasonable starting around 60.

Preseason Talk- AP Poll, Big-12 Poll etc. • Oct 16, 2024 05:05 PM

IDK, I started a thread on the schedule several weeks ago and people weren't that impressed. Seems like a pretty good blue blood loaded schedule.

!st - -AP Poll is out. • Oct 14, 2024 06:55 PM

Bump this over to the regular basketball feed. Wondering what people think and few people look or post here.

Other Football Games of Interest • Oct 13, 2024 12:36 AM

Further confusing me about how good or bad we are. KU narrowly loses to Illinois. Wisconsin (not very good this year and with a back up QB) destroys Purdue, probably worst team in BIG, last week. Purdue narrowly loses to Illinois today in OT. KU is really better than their crazy bad record looks.

NLI are being eliminated • Oct 12, 2024 03:37 PM

I always thought NIL stood for No Intent of Loyalty

Did anyone notice who the coach was that came out on the field with Leipold when he went bananas after the cheap shot against Daniels? He was trying to keep Lance from getting a penalty.

The Yankees • Oct 09, 2024 05:04 PM

@AsadZ I've never seen him like that. He threw a no no for us once and was all business on the mound. I was a little chagrined seeing that the other day. But I'm becoming a big Salvy fan this season. His interview on MLB channel the other night was golden. Hinted that Rodon's antics were a big motivator.

The Yankees • Oct 08, 2024 04:01 AM

Amazing game. Of course you had to beat a former White Sox pitcher to tie up the series!

Not Trying To Be A Richard • Oct 06, 2024 04:44 PM

A couple of years ago Nebraska started 1-6 (I think) in the BIG and had a positive cumulative score. They kept losing by a point or two and blew out one other team. I'm ok with that happening as long as the blow out is silo tech... well not really, it'd be fun to rally to a bowl bid which is still possible I believe.

2024 MLB Season • Oct 06, 2024 04:40 PM

@AsadZ Yes there's many plays in any game, but when a call occurs that allows a run to score when the inning would have ended means it was really a crucial blown call.

2024 MLB Season • Oct 06, 2024 12:28 PM

Replay official totally botches Chisholm call, missing two times he was actually out on the same replay. Witts last at bat shoulda been a walk, but ump punches him out. Apparently Dodgers winning a suspect replay challenge. MLB wants Judge-Ohtani so badly they're willing to look really bad to make sure it happens.

I remember as a KU fan that 2.5 years ago we came back from 16 points and won a national championship. Sorry but it keeps me going through every miserable football season. Yes. ASU had a cheap shot that cost us a TD. But our defense got gashed by these guys and finger pointing can now look at the DC

Oh well, at least we competed. never thought we'd be back to the moral victories phase of fandom but here we are.
