6th year senior at Indiana Xavier Johnson gets ejected for grabbing the privates of the Rutgers guy who set a screen on him. Indiana is a mess and a half and I wish it weren't so. College basketball needs IU to become competent in basketball I think. Not positive that he told refs that he was working on his ball handling skills.

@Gorilla72 The newcomers combined to win 8 football games in the league all season, led by UCF's 3-6 record. So far those teams in the league are 2-5. Early of course, but not a great start.

I think the 2022 was a little bit lucky to win the whole thing. Not an enormously talented team. Very good of course, got hot, red hot, and got to play a 10 seed in the regional final, a 2 seed missing their PG (I think he was a PG) in the semifinal, and an 8 seed in the final. Strange year of course and all of that 'lucky to win it' label wears off over time. I don't think there's any dominant team this year. Purdue's been very good of course, but they have a bad loss on their resume and we don't. So this could easily end in another championship, but I'm not guaranteeing it. The kid from Texas (not gonna look his name up, don't want to remember it) still with us? Then we're maybe close to a dominant team but we can't prove anything as we haven't seen him play.
No one is noticing because of the football team.
Funny when I was looking at South Carolina's page (while waiting for their game to end Saturday) I noticed their 1 loss record and looked at their schedule and laughed as they lost to the only ranked team they played, but KU is the weakest 13-1 team? Not by a long stretch.
The boys in crimson and blue haven't overwhelmed me this year. Obviously the wins are occurring. But we've had to claw back from late wake up calls seemingly in every big game we've played this year. I just wish we had some depth.
@Texas-Hawk-10 There's so many oddities in it. Bama it says is 0-5 against quad 1 teams but is ranked 6th in their rankings apparently because they scheduled tough teams I guess.
BYU, computer favorite, loses at home to Cincy. The NET moved them down 1 spot from 3 to 4 for their loss.

Saw a reminder that this team walloped us last year in AFH. Also, watching this game waiting for ours I don't understand the scheduling of games for national TV. Why did these teams, both unranked get this exclusive treatment over other games? OU-ISU on ESPN+ for example should be a great game. South Carolina is 12-1 and unranked....hmmm, SOS anyone? Same with miss st. 11-2, not ranked. Although that crowd sounds loud enough I can pretty much guarantee there's thousands of empty seats there. I don't get it except i guess the SEC is that desired to televise.

I don't think anyone understands the difficulty of the school I taught in. 1/3rd of the girls who graduated my first year there were either pregnant or were moms already. Shootings, gangs, drugs, fights, etc etc were part of daily life in that neighborhood. I guess I shouldn't have brought it up since you all think you could do better in such a place.
@benshawks08 @kjayhawks He won 832 games as a High School coach, all at the same school. For a decade coached boys and girls teams simultaneously. Won 6 girls state championships. I can't believe I'm having to defend this guy but he is a coaching legend despite all of you thinking he's a chump. The situation was unique that year and yes, there were only 4 competent players. Even then they won quite a few games and qualified for the playoffs.
@kjayhawks He's not a terrible coach. He's won multiple state championships. He coached in a really tough school.

@Zabudda I taught at a school with a legendary coach (google name seimone augustus, he coached her at my school) and one season he had 4 competent basketball players. Like no one else who could dribble it for more than 5-10 seconds without turning it over. So he ran 4 player sets on offense, just told the 'extra' girl to stand to the side and be ready to run down to play defense. It was not that successful of a team of course, but kind of interesting to watch. Not saying we're that bad off but it just reminded me of it.

@kjayhawks @BeddieKU23 No it doesn't make Hunter bad. For the record I'm not the only one with concerns about Kevins relationship with him. I know this sounds bad, but I don't want our season to get ruined by somehow Kevin being involved. I've not heard anything saying he was. But Kevin being the most obvious (at least to us) connection to Shannon and Lawrence it's at least worth discussing.

Are he and Kevin friends? They were teammates of course. Why was he in Lawrence in September? Article on ESPN says in town for the football game between us and them. Illini played him knowing he was being investigated for this.

I would be thrilled beyond anything if we can attain the heights of the Mangino years. Those Mason years were a lot of fun too. Not sure how many games I was able to watch so I don't have many memories there but I do recall watching the Aloha Bowl.

@jayballer67 LOL, I turn it on and I'm pissed at the refs again. Guy on UNLV ran out of bounds a full yard short of the 1st down and ref just waves the chain gang forward signaling 1st down.
