I can't think of any other weekend in college basketball with so many ranked teams getting beat. Duke, Wisconsin, Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas, West Virginia, Louisville, Ohio State, ODU.
@globaljaybird Rick Pitino's demo from his Lexus dealership in Louisville.
Young Devonte and his uncles.
And by the way, welcome back lob feeder extraordinaire. He actually had six rebounds in the box score.
What a happy day it must have been for Svi. After he would score he would point to his parents. Devonte looks like the only 12 year old on the team but Svi at age 17 must really miss being away from home. I'm glad mom and dad got to see the love that goes on in the Phogg and can take comfort in Svi being in this environment.
KU ATHETICS VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS.

Devonte and Frank got into the lane and dished to the open man with all kinds of incredible passes to someone wide open. With this rhythm the shots were falling. The most amazing thing about this game were the steals by everyone and the dunks - DUNKS. Yes, this was a Freshman dominated TT team, but having Devonte back and looking as good as he did, with the assist and the rebounds - once again a guard led the team in rebounds. I'm happy and optimistic about the Big 12 race.
We have much better movement once the two of them can play together. Now, we just want him to give Frank a breather
From the school that gave us the Reliford's.
Get him the KU weight room now.

@KUSTEVE Drew actually used to pick up the recruits in an escalade with spinning wheels.
@twocoach The scouting around the league has been spot on against Perry. People know his spin move and that he keeps the ball low at the beginning of it. He has had more swats and steals on it before he gets started. They also know that he has an easy handle when he gets the ball and consequently easy tips have the ball flying out of his hands. Jamari might not have the moves of Perry, but no one steals the ball from his grip.
KU opened at a 17 pt. favorite and now it is down to 10.
I said that Tubby's stats are not in the elite, but many other D-1 schools would love to have him and his overall coaching record. Minnesota never won anything until they cheated. Roy took a team to the championship that Matt built. His teams play well and he is stuck in West Texas where even Bobby Knight could not recruit.
@JayHawkFanToo I've got to disagree about Tubby. He has an excellent coaching record. Nowhere near any top ten all-time coaches, but many, many schools would like the banners he's won hanging in their Gyms.
A chance that Devonte could play Tomorrow and Cliff has a back problem.
Somehow, Perry has had a loss of energy. It might be medical. It began around the Lafayette game where he admitted to not having any energy. The Temple game was the worst until Baylor. There needs to be some blood work done. All of his shots are short and the spring he has had these last two years in gone. Even his free throws. He has been heavily scouted and the spin move has had more swat steals than ever before. He is a great scorer, but if he is the only inside scorer, then double teams and kick out is all we can expect until Cliff finds his Mojo and free's Perry like he has been with Monster inside help.
Tubby now has the Kids he wants, no OAD's and he will coach this team into the dance in the next two years. Lots of money in that town and they did spend a fortune on their relatively new arena. Football rules, but winters can get cold down there and a warm Barn Burner makes for a great distraction to the bare-ass nature of West Texas.
After this game, ISU plays WVU. Huggie has the best defense in the big 12 leading the nation in steals. The game is on ESPN 2 at 7.

Driving there would give you an idea of what a moon landscape would look like. It feels like you are in Mississippi with all of the cotton fields surrounding the city.
Their stadium.
My brother lived in Lubbock before he died and was in charge of ticket sales for the city and for TT. Each year that KU played in Lubbock, I was able to sit behind Bobby Knight and watch the Jayhawks win. Once my brother and I snuck into the new arena and watched Roy work out the team before the game. As we walked out afterwards, Dick Vitale was getting out of a white Limo and yelled at us "Go Raiders." We responded that we were Jayhawks, then he yelled "Rock Chalk Baby."
By the way, Bobby Knight used the "F-bomb" in the huddle loud enough for 5 rows around him to hear.
Tweet from Selden.
Must be the beginning of an Adidas assault.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tubby vs Bruce Pearl this year. Final 9.5 seconds will be most exciting.

Don't start predicting 3-0 in the Big 12. One game at a time. Tubby took Texas to the wire. Tubby is a Match Up coach and gets the most out of whom ever decides to play in Lubbock.
Fan-gasm?
Of course.
You took the words .right out of my mouth.

Parametric Models - I think I dated one in college.
I remember when Nit Wit Ned got into trouble for Pirating sports video's for his show from the other Springfield station. He was so dumb that he didn't realize that the other station's logo was on the tape.
Greenberg breaks down tonight's game.
Drew watched the UNLV game and will put more emphasis on guarding the outside.
I agree, Kelly can play big. CONFERENCE STARTS TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!
So I hear that Bill Self is a 2 point underdog to Mr. Drew. The Baylor coaches have watched the UNLV game and are saying to themselves, "We better put more emphasis on guarding the perimeter." I see more scoring in the paint than before. We are looking for open threes in our attack now and Baylor knows that. It could be a big night for Perry, Jamari and Cliff. Get well soon Devonte!
This whole discussion reminds me of Jack smack.
I've been listening to Doug Gottleib on WHB and he is saying that Selden is not the leader on this team and that the "straw that stir's the drink" (Reggie Jackson Quote) is Mason. I must say that all players on this team follow the lead of Frank and know that they will have to play as tough as he does for # 11 to happen. Selden stepped up big time against UNLV, but Mason was the star. Praying for Devonte to make it back. This team will be so much better if Frank doesn't have to play all of the minutes.
Many of us on this site have confessed to having superstitions regarding the Jayhawks. In 2008, my girlfriend got a Jayhawk doormat for my store in Missouri.
We won the Big 12 and the National Championship. The mat has become worn out over the years, but we still got to the National Championship again. The more it has become worn out, the Tournament trips ended earlier. So, today I have replaced the old door mat with a new one. Can you spot the jayhawk on the old one?
Hello Newman!
Anyone who would have predicted the score in Austin would be accused of Willie's herbs. WOW Lonnie K. has a got an amazing starting 5. Only the top 5 teams in the rankings have shown any consistency. Bennett at Virginia might be the new Bill Self.
Self said Devonte has been doing light running and cutting and looks like he might be at practice next week.
There were nights on the bus when willie actually had conversations with the Baylor Bear.
