On a separate note Hunt has been cleared to practice with the Browns. It appears that he will be back to action in week 9.
Do we believe that even after getting healthy this team can beat Patriots on the road when playing in January.
Do you shut down Mahomes for the season knowing that this is not a SB Caliber team and go full force or in 2020 or do you bring him back ASAP with a risk on another set back?
Could this be due to change in OC?
If he can remain injury free he can do it but he will need to hit FT in 50%-60% range.
I'd go full force on Jay Wright. For KU connection I'd suggest Tad Boyle.
Option 1 for me, I am Ok with a ban for 2 seasons for another NC.
They are spot on.
He is AL player of the week, Aquino of Reds was NL Player of the week. I think Royals should sign him now to a longer term contract.
With a two way contract he will spend most time in the G League but here is hoping that he will get an opportunity and while on the roster he will make most out of it.
Royals are finally making required moves - Peralta is gone.
Lakers should sign him, LeBron should know better that he needs a Jayhawk to win the championship.
I am removing Kings from my NBA follow up team list.
Josh Jackson traded to Memphis, hopefully the new place/surroundings will provide him with a fresh start. Markieff Morris signed with Pistons.
@dylans DM has repeatedly said that KC will not trade Whit but if the offer is very good he could do it, lets see.
With him gone hope DG can get more PT.
They were the hottest team first 3 weeks of the season and had swept the Royals in KC. I wish we had not played them then. Then they had some injuries and pitching went downhill. And since then they have traded their top hitters.
Lets hope that Doke doesn't get injured but with the history of his freak injuries, I'd not suggest this move.
No OAD, No Drama - I am a happy camper.
@Crimsonorblue22 It is emotional to trade players especially those who have been around the team for some time. The team has to look at the roster situation while evaluating risk and reward. Royals still need a lot of prospects to get back in contention hopefully in 2-3 years.
Now that Silvio has been cleared lets talk about his main role in next year's team. It is easy to say that Self will start him next to Dok as a 4. As we know the role of 4 spot has evolved over the years, more outside shooting even 3 pt. shooting and protecting the perimeter on D.
Has Silvio incorporated outside shot in his game? Can he shoot 35%+ from trey spot? If not what will be KU's game plan when he is playing with Dok.
Could Self play Silvio more without Dok at 5 spot?
Duffy is a good candidate to move and get couple of solid prospects.
Lets hope that Dok is healthy and injury free for the entire year.
@Kcmatt7 I think Hamilton has a shot as some team may value his D and speed.
Who are Royals potential trade candidates for this year's deadline. I see below players:
Hamilton
Bailey
Diekman
Boxberger
Owings (Will any team take him)
Gordon (This is an emotional one and Gordon may block the trade)
Merrifield (I would not mind moving Whit if we get good prospects)
Duda (Again will any team take him)
Kennedy
Unless we get some trey point shooters I am not so optimistic.
@approxinfinity Not long ago Royals had a dynamic bullpen, HDH days. One can put a W in the outcome if Royals go with a lead in 7th inning, automatic win.
@Kubie Royals have most blown saves in MLB. With a decent bullpen Royals would be .500. I'd bring some young pitchers and let them play.
Royals now have 8 blown saves already, most in MLB.
Can Diekman throw strikes, painful to watch him pitch.
Bullpen is horrible, absolutely horrible.
Good for him but bad for TCU and Big 12.
Tough to see bullpen gave away 2 games in a row, while still very early, it does not appear that we have done much to address bullpen issues from last couple of years.
Beyond Keller and Junis there are no solid starting pitchers which is concerning. I am not sure if Duffy can ever get back in form and stay healthy.
@Kcmatt7 I agree that folks deserve a second chance. My point here is that the timing is too early. There are 3 separate investigations taking place, at least let the results come out. At least wait till you are certain that the player has the act together.
KH has been signed by Browns, note Dorsey, their GM had drafted Hunt to KC. I am uneasy about this situation while investigation is still on-going. I think an NFL team should have waited at least till the investigation was over, the video of the incident was horrible.
How do others think about this move?
The Kansas brand helped us tremendously.β Miles said Wednesday. βIt stands for academics. It stands for great athletics. Itβs just tremendous for us. β¦ Itβs a place with a lot to offer and I think we sold that great.β
Love the quote.
Just heard that Sutton has been fired.
Our D played well especially in first half. I think the problem is with our DC, Sutton does not have ability to make D adjustments during the game. We saw that in second half and overtime.
I heard a clip of Berry, he is extra motivated to play in AFC CH game. He really wants to go to SB and play in his hometown, ATL
Skoglund tested positive for Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators S-22 (Ostarine) and LGD-4033, suspended 80 games without pay by MLB.
Last year Bonifacio went through similar suspension.
It hurts as he was to compete for a starting role.
With AFH as home court advantage, HCBS will find a way to win #15.
@dylans I'd prefer Brady over Rivers when game is at Arrowhead.
While he is still very good Brady is not the same QB as he used to be and he can be disrupted. The game can also be used as a revenge game on the loss Chiefs suffered at Patriots earlier in the season.
Rivers and company are used to playing in KC.
Very sad to hear.
Let DM be the guy who is told to go out and concentrate in accomplishing two tasks - rebound the ball and set good screens. Tell him not to worry about scoring. Let his confidence build up and eventually scoring will come.
White Sox have signed Kelvin Herrera on a 2 year $18M contract, good for KH to get paid.
While Bulls are in a flux, I hope he can find good PT to show what he can do and land a solid contract.
He appears to be a genuinely nice kid, someone who has a good head between his shoulders.
Nice analysis
I was able to use @HighEliteMajor suggestion and park in Ellsworth hall parking and walked to AFH, it was a very cold day but certainly worth the trip.
@HighEliteMajor Thank you, that's a great suggestion.
