For the first few weeks Self will be looking at him for help on rebounding, defense, setting screens, and an additional capable Big to give room to Dok. It will allow Dok to play more aggressively without worrying too much about fouling.
Knowing that team only has 7 players is taking a physical and mental toll on players and I believe having him on the bench will provide some emotional relief.
I am worried that we will start seeing an increase in interest rates that will have a counter negative effect on the economy and larger companies will not borrow money curbing overall spending while distributing profits to their top management.
The more I read and I think about this bill the more concerned I become on its negative impact on taxpayers with the exception of rich and privileged.

Asked how much Preston could play in the Big 12 opener against Texas and/or ensuing league games if he’s deemed eligible to play soon, Self said: “I don’t think he’s done enough for 20, 25 minutes (in a game) but I think in a couple of weeks (he could do that) certainly.”
Self said if IMG Academy senior for Silvio De Sousa is declared eligible soon, “I think he could play some. I think that it would be more of a plugged-in situation until he gets comfortable.”
This legislation gives 83% of benefits to top 1% of citizens, wish the distribution was more towards the middle. Another potential issue is with tax breaks expiring for individuals in 8 years while benefits for corporations are permanent, companies will be raking in more profits.
How will we pay for the deficit, will the government go after Medicare and social security benefits?

We are very close to getting a new tax legislation. It is being called as best Christmas gift for middle class. It certainly benefits corporations by cutting tax to 20% and folks in high/very high income brackets.
Will this break benefit the economy and middle class Americans. Will the companies give back earnings to the employees and will they invest the money in the country and increase employment? Will this legislation increase country's deficit and are there any ramifications.
Without being political how do KU fans feel about this legislation.

I like your enthusiasm and optimism and I don't want to sound negative, I see too many flaws with this team. The biggest concern is lack of depth and practically no scoring from bench. Dok is turning the corner but after him there is no one in the post, Lightfoot is not ready for prime time play.
Another problem is Newman. He is not a Bill Self type of player, he just does not like to guard. Garrett on the other hand can play Defense but he is a liability on offense, cannot score. Unlike past teams under Self, this team is simply not very talented, not a single player is projected to go in 1st round of NBA. If KU wins Big 12 with this roster it will be Self's best coaching job.

7 man rotation with no front court depth is getting exposed especially when players are not yet mentally tough. KU has had 7 man rotation in the past but had players like Tyshawn, Releford, R-Rob, Kevin Young, they all had grit. This squad has not gotten it yet.
Bill Self has a real problem on his hands, will be a rocky ride. I am hoping that Preston and DeSousa become eligible sooner rather than later.

What a waste of offenseive talented roster, had high hopes that Chiefs will win today but our Defense can’t stop anybody. Every opposing QB looks like Brady. Also Peters is a Butt case, how he was acting on the sidelines after ejection is pathetic
I concur this loss is a major low. Several situations are working against Chiefs, key injuries on both sides, Alex not playing as well as he was earlier in the season, Reid's coaching has been suspect - too many bad calls and predictable play calling, many holes in the Defense. I don't think they can make many adjustments in the next few games. With AFC West so bad this year Chiefs will win the division but it is looking like another season with loss on 1st playoff game.
Preston's career is trending similar to Bragg, another McD 4 spot player who can't seem to stay away from trouble, not a good sign.
They are on their way back to LA, the word on the street is that President Trump intervened and helped in their release.
Its a sad situation as the kid has talent, unfortunately the talent could not be developed into skill. Hopefully he will get back.

I understand although Chiefs could have been more creative on Offense, move Smith around a bit. They made some adjustments in H2. Steelers came in and punched us in the mouth by their running game, I am disappointed in that aspect.
It seemed as if Chiefs were looking forward to TNF, came out totally flat on both ends. Hopefully this loss will ignite some fire for a long run from here on out

Our pitching and bullpen was inconsistent as well, could never get in a groove. Except for 5-6 weeks stretch in June/July our pitching lacked sharpness and consistency. In the past bullpen was Royals strength, not anymore.

I brought the point as a general point regarding our government's policies in ME. The same weapons and money that we had given to Bin Laden to fight Soviets were used against us. Why? The headline of the video says something like "Jihadist", and the word is associated with a derogatory act. The media is again sensationalizing the term Jihad which is mostly associated and misguided with terror.
The other point is that there is no credible information on funds going to non Harvey related activities. The folks who made the video are going after the lady with no credible information.
The word Jihad is one of the most misguided term, the actual meaning of Jihad is striving or struggling with a praiseworthy cause. There are black sheep in every culture, country, religion and some similar so called Islamic organizations have used the term for terror. They are not representing the religion or vast majority of Muslims.
In the story there is no credible source of this lady using the funds for terror activities. She could very well be donating all these funds to the victims of the hurricane but Media has jumped on it by suggesting that this lady is using the funds to support terror, I do not find any credible evidence.

Duffy was arrested in KC for DUI on last Sun while team was playing in Cleveland, situation with Royals is getting worse.
@brooksmd This year's team is extremely inconsistent, when they get hot they sizzle and when they are cold they go on long tough losses. They are unable to put complete games together -pitching/hitting/defense. When pitching is good offense gets cold and vice versa.
Winning the div is extremely difficult but I am hoping that they can somehow squeeze into the WC spot, return of Salvy will help.
