@Oldmanhawk should be a very fun year. Not a ton of super elite talent, but a lot of really damn good college players.

@mayjay Yep. Basically covid is just going to be a part of life now. Most people are going to end up getting it. I've had some nasty viral infections, but covid is up there. Got it despite taking every precaution. Got the vax later (vax was just rolling out for gen pop when I got covid) even though I should have some number of antibodies from warding it off.

@Crimsonorblue22 Self mentioned it in his statement.

I think he's a really nice player. Long, athletic. Should be able to contribute right away with defense and rebounding. Should develop offensively. I think a professional at some level, with a shot at the NBA. The one thing I wish we still had Danny for was developing bigs.

I will add, he reminds me a lot of bigs that have succeeded under Bill in the past.

@justanotherfan very reasonable take. I think Bill's coaching always elevates the team in the regular season. I think there are coaches with last years roster that fail to make the tournament.

We are all very excited for Remy and rightfully so but he has warts or h wouldn't be back in college. His advanced stat profile is somewhat worrisome but still he will be great for us. The question is in tough games against elite comp how does KU do.

I'm expecting big gains from Jalen again, he is working his ass off. Look for a better three ball and more rebounding from what has been reported.

Yesufu to me is the ultimate wild card. We know about the end of his season but much of that was against sub par comp. His stats against better teams were due to volume, not efficiency. I imagine the truth will be somewhere in the middle. Overall I like his game and the fit for Bill. He is the kind of guard that Bill "turns into" a pg.

I would like to believe we get the Dave from the second half of the season because early Dave was nigh unplayable.

Och and CB I don't expect big leaps but both will end up shooting better with better guard play.

The top 7 is still not an athletic bunch. JCL fills a big off the bench microwave scorer type.

The backup 4 is interesting because its either a guard or a freshman. Braun at the 4 is an interesting thought unless his aggresiveness goes way up.. Those two freshman have different skill sets. So intriguing to see.

Yeah if Jalen was remotely athletic he'd be in the league already tbh. Hard to have an athletic team when you will play Remy, Jalen and Dave big minutes but all of them are great college players.

I do really like Pettiford, Cuffe, Dick and Zuby. All very athletic guys and aside from Cuffe pretty skilled too. I think Cuffe can get there, hope it's at KU.

A few caveats: Sounds like Bill already loves KJ (who is an absolute BRICK MASON but athletic, so we really can't say Bill doesn't have a type...) so maybe he sneaks up the list. I think one of Zach and Cam sees real PT and that it will probably be dictated by defense. Both are elite shooters. I personally love Pettiford's talent and hope he will win out but I think Harris is more likely to be in the rotation for sure, especially early on. If we count Jalen as a big then we are talking about 5 guys already firmly in the guard/wing rotation. Kinda hard to get to 6.

Och decided in late May. It was a pretty genuine change of heart though, wasn't planning to come back initially which is why they took JCL.
