No doubt, his tape is very impressive.

@BeddieKU23 Was he? I am seeing where Carsen was a sub 100 recruit.

Decent comp tbh.

@BShark Yep. Pettiford too good to let walk. Bird in the hand.
Also who knows what is going on in the background with TyTy's recruitment. I have concerns to say the least...
VERY interesting that a 5* type guy ended up at Creighton to begin with.
Would still like to get him, but we will be fine. Bill will add more guys.
@BeddieKU23 said in Bobby Pettiford:
Reading comments from Louisville's board they were not happy to lose him and most seem to think he was going to be really good in College. Always good to see that from a fanbase who's lost a recruit.
Seems like a lot of North Carolina people believe in normal circumstances he would be ranked higher and would have ended up somewhere better than Louisville initially.
He had an injury and of course the covid situation has made a mess of rankings.
Yeah even if we don't get TyTy we are in a solid spot at least. That's why Bill couldn't wait and had to go for Pettiford now.
@wissox said in Today's Games Thread:
With ten minutes left on Thanksgiving Day we were behind the Zags by 1 point. It fell apart after that, but for 30 minutes we were as good as the best team in the nation. I really didn't take too much from that game as a sign of where this team was headed. But after watching the team that destroyed us a week ago get destroyed tonight makes it seem we're light years away. And yet, Baylor is a team we hung with before losing and then of course defeated. Strange KU season and if there's no covid affecting Jalen possibly we finished the year on a higher note.
I have some hope for this roster but with a PG or two that knows how to control the game and is able to score.
Should lead to better looks consistently.
That pic is one of the last cool things to share with you guys as my buddy is leaving Sunrise for a better job opportunity.
More help on the way too. <3

He is apparently friends with TyTy and think they play well together. Somebody hold me.
Whaaa whaaat! Don't even do this to me lol
We could, I repeat, have a Graham/Mason situation here.

@jayballer67 Doesn't seem like we are involved, unfortunately. There was a tweet that mentioned schools interested, KU was not brought up.
Man, Aidoo is an intriguing prospect.

After all this, Bill has a top 5 class. Dude is a fudging wizard
NOT DONE EITHER.
Spring Bill is HANGRY.
@jayballer67 Yeah that's how he decided to announce lol
Yes.
REAL FUCKIN SOON
@FarmerJayhawk Looking reaaaal good with Bobby. Hopefully soon.
No thanks.
@BShark 9 NBA players on that team lol. NINE.
2012 UK team probably could beat them too.
Better is a tough thing to figure out though... This Gonzaga team has at least 5 future NBA players on it.
11 NBA guys in the SWEET SIXTEEN game between KU and Arizona in well you know what year...
Hell 2015 Kentucky is better tbh. They were pretty unfortunate to not win it all.
Don't think you say no there unless you have something lined up. This changed the timeline for McKissic as well, he will not be deciding this week.
@Woodrow I'd say so. Sounds like he was willing to commit Sunday night and Bill said no thanks.
Goodbye Tristan

It's on the VIP board of KU 247.

He will go get some run somewhere. Best for both parties
Yeah, literally tweeted something to this effect.
Tristan is in the portal.
@Marco said in 2021 Recruiting:
@BShark Can't wait too long though. Need to snag a PG ASAP.
Bill wants two, and appears to be well positioned to do so.
@BeddieKU23 Looks like UNC.
Quentin's dad was the big issue.
@rockchalkwyo In a perfect world, we replace Gethro with him.
Dunno yet if KU is pursuing here again.
Jonas Aidoo officially back on the market.
He just looks exactly like a Bill Self PG. Everything you love to see. Toughness, athleticism, speed, creativity.
Make KU PGs great again.
@justanotherfan said in Bye Tyon:
On a side note, I always imagined that Quentin Grimes would be the leading scorer on a team heading to the Elite Eight.
I think if he stuck it out he would have been a player here but sometimes a change of scenery is best.
@FarmerJayhawk said in 2021 Transfer Talk/List:
Kellan Grady to Kentucky. Huge pickup for them
As long as they don't get involved with TyTy I'm good.
Wouldn't mind another PG from North Carolina tbh...last two worked out...
@Crimsonorblue22 One of the current commits.
@Kcmatt7 said in 2021 Recruiting:
Then you throw in a couple of guys who can actually drive the ball to get a bucket and voila,
@KirkIsMyHinrich said in 2021 Recruiting:
I guess we'll see. I have very little faith in transfers moving the needle much for Kansas. I'm all for acquiring young talent that's going to stick around for multiple years.
Normally I would agree but there is, relative to college hoops, elite talent littering the portal this year.
I am glad that the staff really wants a HS PG though. We need to close on one.
If Harris is a top 6 player we aren't going to be very good. If Bryce is as well without much improvement we could miss the tournament...
That said I believe Bill is going to improve the roster.
@KirkIsMyHinrich Very real chance Agbaji isn't on the team.
@Kcmatt7 said in 2021 Recruiting:
@KirkIsMyHinrich Idk. I think this year is the exception considering the types of guys leaving programs this year. And the reality is if aren't getting a transfer who can play big minutes for you this day and age then you are doing a poor job recruiting.
Literally every single elite 8 team has a transfer playing big minutes for them. Several of the teams have like 2 or 3 playing big minutes.
The transfer market is a lot deeper and more talented than it was even 5 years ago.
The fact of the matter is KU needs an infusion of talent, proven scorers and athleticism.
Names to watch: TyTy Washington, Brandon McKissic, Stanley Umude, Christian Bishop, Bobby Pettiford (believe he is the plan B for TyTy and that the staff really wants a HS point guard).
A highschool recruit that moves the needle for next year...
