Might just be saying the same thing as the first article but saw it pop across my feed.
Wouldn't be the mystery recruit but what about adding Jalen Lecque in 2018? I'd be pretty okay with it, tbh. Pretty....prettttttttaaay okay with it.
One time KU target Marcedus Leech who plummeted down rankings after many injuries committed to ISU. It's not listed on any of his profiles though, so idk what the deal is.
"Marcedus Leech, a 2019 wing from Poplar Bluff, Mo., recently announced his commitment to Iowa State in a Snapchat post. Leech was a borderline five-star recruit after his freshman season of high school but has struggled to remain healthy. He’s suffered from a stress fracture in his shin and a broken foot.
An athletic scorer with a lot of upside, Leech had the likes of Kansas, Missouri, Florida State and LSU on his radar before picking Iowa State. He’s taken visits to Kansas, Kentucky and Missouri among others and could reignite interest from other schools even after his commitment if he can show he’s the same player from before the injuries.
Mooney to TTU.

@BShark Sounds like your 100% correct. - -Sounds like he is very intrigued about KU - - saying that they are right there in his three. - -KU - - - Florida - -& Tennessee , before the KU offer said or sure sounded like he was focusing on Florida and Tennessee then KU entered the picture.
Yet though ANOTHER PG - - -lol - - -I'm sure glad Coach knows what he is doing - - I know it's not the case but man it just looks like he is recruiting right over the top of Jacobs. - -The question is I think how serious we are in him cause we sure are in his interest.
Then sounds the same with Samuel Williamson. - Sounds to me we have his interest for sure - -plus with his mother a graduate from here & then his brother graduating last year from here - -sounds like a plus for us, - -can't hurt that's for sure. - -Sounds like both for sure want to make that Visit to KU might be interesting.
Lewis is a PG too. Staff probably read the tea leaves with RJ Hampton.
Williamson should be a Hawk...
Seems the KU offer threw a wrench in Tre Mann's recruitment. It was looking like he would decide between UT and UF pretty quickly before that.
The four-star guard said he hopes to begin to whittle his list down after the AAU season and he doesn’t have a date in mind for his commitment. However, asked if he wants to take some kind of a visit to KU, Lewis did respond: “Yes sir.”
“I’ve heard it’s one of the best places for basketball,” Lewis said of Kansas. “I heard it’ll be sold out.”
But basketball won’t be the only factor driving his decision.
Lewis said he’ll be considering a number of things with his college choice, including education and the comfort he feels on campus. He said the largest factor in his recruitment will come down to the relationships he’s able to build with the various staffs and players before he moves away from his family.
Certainly those familial ties are plenty strong — and present — in his recruitment.
“It’s real close,” Lewis said of his relationship with his mother, Natasha. “It’s my mom. She knows everything about me. She had me in her stomach for nine months.”
She might know everything about her son’s recruitment, too.
Natasha told 247Sports she has made it a point to try to talk to every coach that interacts with Lewis. The process, one she called busy yet rewarding, has kept her hands full, but she’s still found the time to enjoy it all.
“I’m very proud of Kira,” Natasha said. “What I’m most proud of is his humility. He’s humble, he doesn’t let that get to him. He’s always been taught to earn things, nothing is given in life.”

At this point, I don't know that a mystery man is coming. It's pretty late in the game. The music has stopped and pretty much everyone has found a seat. Unless someone else is going to reclassify, it's hard to see someone switching a 2018 commit this late. Most of the grad transfers have also found homes. There are obviously still some guys out there, but most of those guys are going to be looking for significant time, something KU may not be able to guarantee for most of them.
It's a tough market to figure. The investigation is looming over all of college basketball, and will probably get bigger, sweeping up more programs, rather than smaller. I just don't see where the mystery man comes from right now.
Yeah the line-up seems mostly set, it just changes based on what Doke does. Can't really add a meaningful post player if Doke goes.
@jayballer73 But what about the 12th scholarship? Or the 11th...

@BShark I thought R.J. to duke was a done deal.
Pretty much. Sucks that K punched Self in the nads on this one.
Made Antoine's final 5 lol
:poop:
Great Hawk and all around good guy. Wish him the best with w/e he does next.
I assume the staff will add another player, but who even knows who it is at this pt.

Will we ever know? :astonished:
I think Israel Barnes is committed to Weber State. Wouldn't be the worst addition.

KU only has Jacobs so far and th rest is just smoke at this time and the same is true for most of the teams in the list. Until a player signs a LOI nothing is certain, Ayton comes to mind, and even then, the prospect can always decomit.
Yeah kind of silly to even do an article like this now. KU is very well positioned for Hurt and JRE but who knows if the FBI spectre will keep haunting KU...

I was reading Garrett's uncle is working with him on his shot before reporting back to KU. 1,000 makes a day, ambitious, driven and the type of stuff you like to see. They know what they need to work on and the goal will be making it muscle memory. Got to love a kid willing to put in the work.
Awesome to hear. I don't think putting forth the work and effort will be an issue with Garrett.
He isn't athletic and was unranked.
Tyrese Maxey committed to UK and will stay in the 19 class.
@Crimsonorblue22 I like him, video there looks good and he sounds tough. I worry about his ability to defend. Just want to see him play games in a KU uniform at this point.

@jayballer73 @BeddieKU23 Well a poster on the Phog from Texas confirmed that Elliott's dad is ULTRA wealthy. So that explains the bizarre recruitment for a walk-on.
According to that poster its where Billy Preston got his Dodge Charger dreams. Ohhh
He's correct. Elliott spent some time at API. This kid is a good asset for the program, I just hope he doesn't expect any pt.
Nike has pushed Okoro to Oregon.
@JayHawkFanToo I certainly think he year at Cal was overblown. He was OKAY there.
@BeddieKU23 Pass.

Is Scott Chasen. Good guy, but not an insider.
Already more active then Matt was in a year. Of course we knew matt's situation didn't leave him in a position to devote 100%. Will be interesting to see what content he gets/gives
LOL true.
I still hope Matt makes another site. He does have some connections and hey if it's free, can't really complain.
“It’s always great getting an offer from a coach like Bill Self. He’s proven himself time and time again, winning and also putting guys in the pros. Kansas is a great school overall!” -Lewis on KU

I'm guessing all their guys will sign an agent and stay in the draft.
Can't see him going there if the racist Italian was coming back.

Here is another good story ↗ about Moore.
I mean it's another fluff piece like the UDK one. Hopefully I am wrong about him, I will withhold further posts regarding his play until he plays a game for KU or there are more rumblings about his play over the summer.
Is Scott Chasen. Good guy, but not an insider.
Mystery recruit time!

Goodness. Everything is racist and akin to slavery. Barf.
Agree it's stupid to draw that parallel. Just a charged word for no reason tbh.

Dok will be back and is using his invite to the combine to gather info as to what he needs to work on b4 next year. If Self thought Silvio would be ruled ineligible then he would have declared for the draft. Both should be back. Moore is a stud and I have posted my thought on that b4.
You thought Vick was coming back too. ;)

@BeddieKU23 I would assume Baylor, Michigan, KU, Marquette, Oklahoma, not sure on 6th school.
Notice a theme here? Though Michigan switched recently iirc.
I was a bit off
@jayballer73 Key went to UVA.

@BShark I just have a feeling that that possibly this Eliott kid may see a few more minutes possibly then normal walk on do you?
I've heard conflicting things. Intrigued to find out more once he arrives on campus.
I think so.
:newspaper: :coffee:
Some notes: he absolutely blew up this recent AAU session. Speculation is he will move up into the 40-50 range.
Oh @BeddieKU23 I agree with you he is a walk-on with upside. Very interesting. Besides KU visited the likes of Zona and UK last year.
KU offered: https://247sports.com/Player/Kira-Lewis-46035371 ↗
