KU not playing Preston makes me feel pretty good, tbh.
Fact is the NCAA cleared Silvio. NCAA and KU apparently had no knowledge of the situation. Would be odd to punish KU for it.
KU didn't play Preston after finding out, and the Silvio situation is super weird. I don't see vacating anything but we will see....
@kjayhawks Vacate my ass I say. Total joke if it happens.
Nike and UA are just as involved. Football involved too.

I should have said, If Silvio or his family took money.....
Wording is weird. It says his guardian took money to pay pack Under Armor. Odds are he took more but who knows.
KU will be fine either way. Always thought the vacated stuff was funny. The games happened. Also are they going to just vacate the entire season? Some mid or low major NCAA champs?

Josh's mom got $90k didn't she?
No
Check the ESPN article. Billy's mom. I was confident from the jump it was Billy just based on the timing when other people were saying JJ.

Doesn't Adidas have interest in Jackson going to KU just as much (if not more) than KU does? I could obviously see how KU would be interested in bending the rules a little to get a talent like that, but I'd bet there's some guys within the Adidas camp that are a lot more desperate than Self and Co. I just hope KU doesn't have to vacate any wins due to Jackson being technically ineligible.
Josh is, at least currently, not involved. The current stuff is about Preston and Silvio.
@BeddieKU23 I mean...you've read some of Billy's mom's twitter right?
Billy Preston's mom ladies and gentlemen!
The indictment says Gatto and others concealed payments to the first Kansas player by transferring money to an AAU team controlled by the unidentified Adidas consultant. He delivered $30,000 to the mother at a hotel room in New York on Oct. 31, 2016, and another $20,000 in cash at a hotel room in Las Vegas on Jan. 19, 2017. The consultant also wired $15,000 to the player's mother on June 14, 2017.
I doubt there will be any decommits.
Screw the FBI noise.
Mitch Lightfoot into the camera after Kansas swept Kansas State again: “It’s what we do.” #kubball
@KUSTEVE On the bright side, no way KU sticks with Adidas lol.
Apparently on April 25th the basketball commission will be releasing their findings & resolutions for the NCAA.
Kevin Knox played. Ayton played. Sexton played. Little and Quinerly will play. So Silvio can probably play. Doesn't seem he had any knowledge of it, and didn't see a dime. KU is certainly deep enough in the post to not play him. Wonder how it shakes out.
People assumed Josh. It was Billy. @jayballer73

Also this means Maryland paid for Silvio, lol.
Don't worry we are still the a-holes to them
Oh without a doubt.
Also this means Maryland paid for Silvio, lol.
I mean just shocking that Preston's mom took money right?
FarmerJayhawk said:
The NCAA is going to clear Nas Little and Quinerly. We’ll be fine.
Lol for real.
I mean, we now know why Preston didn't play. KU was smart enough to actually figure it out. Missed it with Silvio but that situation sounds very weird.
FarmerJayhawk said:
I think KU is going to be fine. The first player is Billy, the second Silvio. They payments were intentionally hidden to defraud KU. It says specifically Silvio wanted to come to KU anyway.

Sadly, I think the description on the second matches Garrett closer than Billy
Incorrect.
He should have just went to Syracuse in the first place tbh.

Quade Green is considering transferring according to UK peeps. Imagine that becomes reality any day
Yeah. Commons sense broke this story before anyone at UK. Heh.

Reading rumors about Carey reclassifying to 2018. Somehow Duke pulled the same shit with Bagley last summer.
He’s not going to. He’s young for his class (born in 01) so reclassifying won’t get him to the NBA sooner. He’s not eligible for the draft until 2020.
Ah. Yeah no way he wants to spend 2 years in college.
Kcmatt7 said:
Fine with me honestly. Lawson's scare me. Dedric was worth the risk as a proven commodity. But I've been waiting for it to blow up in our faces since they got here.
KU legit has better options in 2019 than Chandler Lawson. If he wants to come here, that's fine but I think he ends up in Memphis.
@Kcmatt7 Yeah I'm not sure what to make of that drop.
Let's hope he has improved his three point shot since Memphis.
@Kcmatt7 It's like they weren't paying attention when SKJ transferred. You don't just add top 20 players and have older former top 20 players saying yippee I'm going to the bench.
@jayballer73 Garrett might start next year, let alone two years from now.
As of now I'd say Grimes is the only guard likely to leave. Langford if he ends up here as well of course.
BeddieKU23 said:
So if Vanderbilt and Washington leave and Green transfers its a team of 8 lol
So young!
There are rumors Vanderbilt might take a medical redshirt next season. Dunno if transferring or will stay at UK.
@BeddieKU23 Should have stayed at Wisconsin. Would have been a star there.
@Kcmatt7 Firmly recruited over twice. Lol.
Calipari next year: We're so young! Nevermind that we recruit over our older players.
Hagans to UK in 2018.
@HighEliteMajor Just don't be surprised whenever they go pro then. G League salaries are getting to the point where they offer more value than KU, and certainly way more real value.
That is of course if you believe KU isn't paying players under the table.....
I was being sarcastic. There is something weird going on at Nova and UNC. Hard to believe they just magically find the pro level players that want to hang around college.
@jayballer73 In Huggy's "system" I don't see any big differences in the two post spots.
I don't think Doke would be drafted if he goes.
@BeddieKU23 Hurt is starting anywhere he goes I think that is a non-issue. KU has visited him about a million times already and it's not even his SR year.
Duke people still don't think Hurt leaves the midwest. I'm hoping Self's time with Hurt this summer seals the deal.

@BeddieKU23 I think KU will prioritize Hurt over Achiuwa. I'm hopeful that Hurt commits early. JRE too actually.
tough choosing. Hurt might be the better College Player especially since he might stay more then a year. Achiuwa is that prototype forward for the NBA.. No way he's staying more then 1, way too good
If Hurt is willing to stay 2 years it's a no brainer imo. His parents seem to be taking a very practical approach.
@Kcmatt7 I think KJ sticks around.
Dedric and Doke will be gone. That's two spots. Just Duke that shit. Hurt, JRE, Silvio, McCormack, KJ, Mitch...
It wouldn't shock me if Doke announced either way at the banquet tonight.
Even if Konate leaves Bender would have West, Ahmad, Harris and likely Culver in front of him. Likely wasn't going to get any more pt this year than last.
