LOL
What a waste he would be under Shaka. And yeah...preferably he won't play KU 2-3 times next year...
Yeah pretty much.
With what I've seen at Bamba it makes me sad that he never considered KU.
To quote Princess Bride, "It would take a miracle".
Young thinks he is Steph Curry. He will probably end up being worth the headache, but maybe not next year right away...
Right. I'm just pleasantly surprised that the KU fanbase by and large has taken this stance on it.
True. He was very raw and that did him no favours.
From what I've read, most of the KU message board posters do not expect a Josh type season from Preston. Everyone has seemingly tempered expectations. No idea about the fanbase at large though ie twitter, all the tshirt fans, fans that only care in March etc...

Every time I read something about Preston it's similar. He's great WHEN he is focused. Hopefully Self gets the best out of him.
I hope so. Also I remember Sexton saying some stuff about freedom to play and not worry about making mistakes at Bama. Doesn't take much to read between the lines there IMO...
Can't beat Bama for a PG unfortunately.
Yeah seems interesting that this could already be lined up so quickly.
Yeah Self took that approach because he knew Josh would only be here one year.
So mean!
Rumours swirling. User made a VIP post on 247. They said to keep it there so I will respect their wishes. Check out the thread if you have VIP though.
Thread re-purposed. Another year of Bruce!
I don't feel great about this Royals team but they are tough and will probably win more games than they should.
No.
We have certainly had worse at the bottom of the roster.
They want KU, not surprising but good to know.

Baylor his first three years. KU was interested then as far as I can tell backed off.
Michael seems like a baller PG but with no trey ball. Was the FOY in the MAC.
I will eat a shoe.
And if Josh blows out his knee next year at least he will have got that first NBA contract.
The Weathers brothers are transferring from Miami Ohio. NE Kansas natives.
These kids can't predict having a horrible injury. They should get paid asap imo. Especially if they don't have much else to fall back on to earn a living.
Seems like 247 is having some issues. I watched the video already, basically he said KU was recruiting him since 8th grade, he loves Self and Townsend, would like Duval to come to KU of course.
I would just check back later maybe it will be fixed.

How long has it been since we have had 4 McDonald's All-american's on one team? We could still get one more too if things work out with Trevon Duval or M.J. Walker?
KU isn't even really recruiting Walker as far as I can tell.
Carlton Bragg starting, Malik Newman on the bench. Ignored article.
Juiston
Duval (no chance)
Right now that's it. I'm sure we will find out a lot more over the next month since KU is now out of the tournament.
While true, I'm not sure if there is a post player KU could now get that doesn't have question marks.
Heh. The thing right now is that if Graham and Svi come back that's already 6 good guards. History has shown the 6th won't really play. So any guard pick-up would likely be entirely developmental.
The post is a log jam as well. Adding a kid like Juiston only makes sense to me if Bragg is leaving. Though Coleby/Doke/Preston/Mitch/5th post is still only 11 players when combined with 6 guards.
So that leaves 2 to fill though the end of the roster is typically not very good.
Dequon Lake to ASU. They are desperate for bigs so that makes sense.
Jemarl Baker got out of his LOI from CAL.
French PG Joel Ayayi is looking to go to a US college. Baylor has already offered.
Most NCAA tourney wins since 2000: 1. Roy 54 2. K 44 3. Izzo 43 4. Self 42 5. Calipari 40

"Hearing Duval to Duke, but UA wants him overseas with an endorsement deal
Sounds like MJ Walker to FSU
Knox-Duke but the father runs it
Tugs- Arizona/MSU battle---but waiting to see who leaves Arizona---Trier has to go..When I was in Atlanta yesterday, the word was Kobi would love to declare, but probably has to do another year.
McCoy-Very likely Oregon with UNLV and MSU remaining contenders
Zion's mom runs his recruitment, but the stepfather will continue to be the one who talks
Quinerly to the RENs "
Yep.
Interesting post on the Phog about Graham. If true his mom wants him to stay and get his degree.
Lil Kim landed back in D2 at Pitt St. Now he will get to play KU. :grinning:
I do think Preston will play, but it's good to be cautious. It might take some summer school work. Obviously the classes from API are not going to count.
Spoke volumes.
Marsha would eat him alive.
What a mess Syracuse is.

@Blown Graham runs point. Malik is the number 2. Vick/Svi is the 3. Preston/Bragg is the 4. Doke is the 5. Or something like that. I choose to remain myopic about Preston, so when someone suggests he might not be eligible, I put my hands over both ears, and yell BLAHBLAHBLAH as loudly as I can. Now, of course this can be a little tricky sitting in a public restaurant with a smart phone, so I'm hoping I don't read many more posts prophesying that negative event.
:+1:
Talk about a hot bed. HOO BOY!
Each recruitment is different.
We will see what happens. I'd love for Bragg to succeed at KU though.
Duke has no interest in Waters either. The plot thickens...
I'll just wait for @jaybate-1.0 to stroll through now.
Not the point of the thread. Josh was UA and just wanted to come to KU. Doke was Nike and Mitch is a lifelong KU fan. My point is who is Adidas funneling to KU. Bragg was the last one I think.
That would be quite a shocker. Seems like he is all but signed to Duke. Of course, you have to try.
