Well not to jinx it but he has been shooting well today.
Welp, gotta make fts and it's Josh at the line.
So that 4th call on Frank was the worst call right? It was pretty terrible.
Losing this game would be absurd.
Dear Frank get better soon please.
West Texas is gross.
If you had to choose one to coach a college team who would you go with....
Avery Johnson or a wet napkin.

@BeddieKU23 So is this kid a possibly safety net in pace of Young if we don/t land him? - -I see you say combo, but think we are good on combo next year aren't we? - - - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
I'd like to see KU get this kid even if Young picks KU. Should have the room but would he do it is another story.
@BeddieKU23 said:
No idea what option he is.
Just sounds like KU is the latest program to enter the picture. The talk is he might be able to move into the 17 class in the right situation. If he doesn't then he will be a heavily recruited 2018 option. I imagine the East Coast schools will have an advantage with him. He went from having offers from Brown and Rhode Island among others to KU, Nova, Cuse, UConn, etc. Tells you how much he's improved his game.

“From the point of having no offers, it has been motivation. I went through some injuries but I haven’t allowed for any of that stuff to hold me down,” the Cushing product stated as he then rattled off those remaining in touch with him the most often. “Creighton, Providence, NC State a little bit, Kansas talks to me every game day, Northwestern a lot and Rutgers.”
EVERY GAME DAY. Article is a little over 2 weeks old.

2nd video.
I'd love for him to reclassify and then pick KU.
And yeah I see it difficult for him to not be top 75 if he doesn't reclassify. If he does the rankings are often done hastily so who knows. Would be a good get which is what matters.
@BeddieKU23 said:
on 247 ranked 173rd in the country. Switched schools to Cushing Academy this year a known D-1 producer.
Another vid, his coach says he was 5'6 as a freshman and now pushing 6'4,6'5
Lol at his ranking.
@BeddieKU23 said:
KU has offered 6'3 Combo Guard David Duke. Could possibly be a reclassify to 2017.
Currently a 3-Star guard. Very athletic from video I found.
Schools after him (KU) Nova, Cuse, UConn, Florida, and NCST.
Want.
Someone smart said UCLA was in there too when KU and TCU were mentioned. Can't remember who though, might have been Ryan Noel.
Other FF caliber teams basically. So maybe a handful of teams this year like UNC, Nova etc... Wouldn't expect them to play such a team before the EE but it is the tournament so you never know.
@drgnslayr said:
He tore ligaments to the extent of needing surgical repair.
I don't have the details on Doke's severity but from my experience the best case on a surgical repair is 8 weeks until the beginning of rehab.
The prognosis states a mid-summer full recovery. Sounds about right. 3 or 4 month rehab.
I don't expect to see him back this year.
Yeah they announced he was done for the year when it happened and I doubt anything has changed.
@drgnslayr said:
It's mind-boggling to think of next year's post.... Doke, Carlton and Billy.... backed up by Mitch and Dwight.
If we stay healthy, we will not have a depth problem in the post!
I am hoping for another post addition but I might be greedy.
8 more days. Apparently Kruger showed up at the game last night after he found out Self was there.
How'd that go for KU against ISU? I'd bet WVU wins.
Not sure what team is a bad match-up for an excellent offensive team. Their defense is a bit of an issue but unlike us they at least have a post rotation.
@BeddieKU23 said:
Definitely, Allen and Andrew Jones are NBA players. Jones has been playing at a high level and has been the biggest difference maker for them.
Shaka has found the only way to keep competitive is to slow the game down and rely on his defense. They would have never lasted in an up and down tempo
I'm surprised they didn't abused ISU inside all game but other than that it was a nice game by UT.
I'd bet UCLA makes the EE minimum.
Kind of funny given how liberal Lawrence is.
It's typical to have a let down after your super bowl.
@HighEliteMajor said:
Young, Newman, Vick, Bragg, Udoka -- no joka.
With a bench of Preston, Garrett, Cunliffe too. That's pretty damn good if it happens of course Young is the key, need a true PG.
@Lulufulu said:
@HighEliteMajor Devonte' hasnt declared yet. I still assume he will be a Senior. Svi as well
I wouldn't get your hopes up.

And yeah I had a typo at first oops.
Ehhhhhh?
Talk about a kid that has fought his way up, started at Youngstown State. He looks like he would be a solid stop gap option.
Bill is going down to Oklahoma tonight and will be at Trae's game. Also, Trae's dad will be on RJST today.

Seems like we are seeing more guys mentioning interest from KU that were thought to not even be on the radar.
Yeah 18 really isn't the usual class where KU seems to lead for elite guys early then most don't pan out. At the end of the day KU is going to have plenty of PT and scholarships to give so I would bet it ends up a decent sized class. Especially with post players, we could be looking at a situation where only Lightfoot (and maybe a 2017 mystery recruit) are still on the roster at that point. It's likely that both interior starting spots will be open.
Interesting. Scott said previously that KU isn't really in that one. Would love for that to have changed. All three bigs you mentioned in your last post would be great gets.
@BeddieKU23 said:
Not sure on that but we have to be careful about reclassification's. Sometimes you can pressure a kid to move up a class and he's just not ready for College Ball. Thornton of Duke is an excellent example of this very thing. And in the position that KU is in, in desperate need of a top flight PG you risk ruining the players development and the team as well.
Fair point. I just really hope Young picks KU, but at least we will know soon.
@BeddieKU23 said:
A side not to 2018 KU is actively in it for Silvio de Sousa a top 20 6'8 big from Montverde. That is something I didn't think would happen. De Sousa is a top flight PF with some really nice offensive skill. Shittu, Sousa & Emmitt Williams are very good targets to keep after
According to who?
He was going for a video game steal on the 4th foul I agree.
@BeddieKU23 said:
Definitely should I keep going?
I do want to note that without KU's ability to draw fouls in the last 6 or so minutes the victory might not have happened. It was what 7-1 foul disparity at one point and then KSU had 5 straight calls against them so as lopsided as the calls were we definitely got a momentum swing from that standpoint
Completely ridiculous. Higgins is a joke.
Both Dotson and Lewis should be good college players. At this point, I'm wondering if any of the 2018 PGs KU is in on are in a position to reclassify if needed.
It will be made out of purple fabric and stuffed with corn.

Plus, they have the advantage of having an extra blocker (Weber) out on the court the whole time.
This might be the most annoying thing Weber does...MIGHT. I really want him to get t'd up for it already.
It's bad when you can argue which terrible call was the worst....
Yeah we almost got Higgins'd pretty hard last night.
@HawkChamp said:
Saw where Bruce said "we kicked their butts again". Lol, yeah coach, you kicked our butts so bad that you lost. Honestly, would we expect anything else from him?
I just made a thread about this because honestly, it deserves one.
@brooksmd said:
@KirkIsMyHinrich Yeah, I can't blame LL too much for his lack of point production tonite (except from the line) as he wasn't fed very well. And he had to battle Johnson and Wade for rebounds. And lopsided foul calling will effect how aggressive a player will be for rebounds under the hoop.
DJ and Wade both should have fouled out of this game. Meanwhile Graham and Lucas get fouls called on them when they didn't even actually touch the opponent.
What is our record according to the play hard chart? Are we a tournament team? KSU is 23-1 and a 1 seed according to the play hard chart.
Rebounds are a hell of an equalizer.
The old guys can kill each other in the post but one guard touching another in any way is a foul ref style. Not a favourite of mine either.
