Wisconsin watching bill self out of bounds plays or what

@BeddieKU23 Wisconsin has shot 1 FT all game.
Wow. They just made a good call on happ driving. Kid is putting them on his back
Wow huge 3
At least happ knows his bread and butter. Always loved his skill in the lane. Dedric and him are very similar
Michigan's d is very good but they get away with a lot. Their pg literally bodied up on happ when he made that pass into Ford for the 3 point play. Cant believe they let that go
Great game so far. Happ just made a few baller plays

Also we have lost in Morgantown every year but twice
This year feels different. WVU is 0-5 in the league though TCU is really their only blowout loss.
No reason for KU to lose this one. Their guards are really bad. Might be a super ugly game to watch though.
Do you trust this team to not turn it over 20 times against them? I dont but this is by far the worst huggy team since joining the league

@BeddieKU23 🤮 Seth g
With fran and seth g. The next big 12 job to come open should hire them just so they can lose to self at least twice a year
Also we have lost in Morgantown every year but twice
Expect Esa Ahmads career night
Game day crew next week for Kentucky and KU. Should be a 3 hour feature about Calipari teaching the freshman how to play

Seth picks KU to lose more than I do.
You're so right.
And for context seth Greenberg picked kansas to lose every game last year during conference play to the point jay Williams had to call him out for it
Seth Greenberg did mention we wont win the big 12 during their duke slobberfest including Cameron crazy cam and all sorts of other stuff for them to gush over
@Crimsonorblue22
Basically just in limbo. At this point the NCAA decides his fate
Hes in street clothes not playing today
That settles that then I suppose.

He hasn't been ineligible

@BeddieKU23 It's a good sign. And I don't remember him being with the team in Waco last Saturday. Fingers Crossed
I dont think he was. Hopefully some good news tomm
Silvio did travel to Morgantown.. we will see if that means something positive. Usually ineligible players cannot travel on the road
Yes I believe they could. Both are technically on their 4th years in school.

@BeddieKU23 you think dads happy w/kj's development?
Probably not. I'm still hopeful he can help this team this year but with Ochai jumping him in the rotation he certainly feels like the odd man out
I actually think what we've seen from Dedric so far he could improve his stock coming back. Especially the lack of a consistent perimeter shot that he's shown so far at KU and before at Memphis. He's also struggled defensively in pick and roll and guarding stretch defenders. I think we know his limits as an explosive athlete. I'd like to see Hudy get one more off-season with him, she's got a good track record of taking guys going into the Senior year and finding that little extra out of them. I don't expect he comes back but I do think there are legitimate areas Dedric can improve his game with another season here.
No Hawks in the 1st round. No Surprise, Grimes stock has tanked since Game 1. Dedric has held steady as a likely 2nd round pick. Dotson hasn't really moved either from his late 2nd grade right now. Doke's injury has pushed him out.
Grimes #37
Dedric #41
Dotson #58
Doke- No longer in Top 100
Other Big-12 guys:
Jarrett Culver #8 -Texas Tech
Jaxson Hayes#12- Texas
Talen-Horton-Tucker#19- Iowa St
Driving the ball is something he's developed at Nebraska. He's well on his way to becoming a good college player
I'm still weary of where this is all going but I've voiced my support for players to have more control in the past so I'll stand by that now despite the crazy amount of kids hoppin from one place to the next. Coaches have done it for a long time so it only seems fair players have the same opportunity.
A good example this week is The Oklahoma QB who wanted to transfer to West Virginia but OU was not releasing him fully to go there, despite being a graduate transfer, that is until they landed Jalen Hurts to be their QB and then it was OK. Coincidence..yeah right.
Thanks for sharing what you heard.
Wanted KU badly. He was an Adidas kid as well. We took Charlie Moore instead.
Tim Miles vision just fit better for him, be rotation player as a freshman then have a chance to start after. Self was real with him, no guarantees of a role. From everything my friend told me about him he's a really good kid. One of the best shooters to ever come through Brewster
Still hasn't beaten self since joining the league. So far he doesnt have much to talk about

@BeddieKU23 10 years ago coaches could be total jerks and not release kids, greatly hampering transfers. With social media giving kids instant access to such info, I think coaches have eased up to avoid bad recruiting reps.
Yes that's a very good point. As you sort of touched on, the balance of power has shifted to the players recently.
Lawyered up. Let's see how quickly they rule now
I'll take a W no matter how ugly it may look. We've come into Morgantown on upset alert way too many times recently. I expect WVU to play out of their mind and I hope the guys can handle the ball pressure and find a way to win.
I agree its not just athletes that transfer. Within athletes though the options available to them currently has made transferring much easier. The graduate transfer option has basically opened a can of worms. The transfer portal introduced for football is another. How much longer before its basically free agency? I'm not trying to interject my own opinion here however I don't recall the transfer rate this high 10 years ago. Generational issue may not have been the correct wording but it sure feels like a new age issue. Maybe in today's society this was bound to happen regardless of the rules in place. I see more and more mid-year transfers and overall the final numbers continue to rise. I'm interested to see where the breaking point is for this

Also that thread really heated up, just went to read it.
@BShark Link please?

I can't say I share your optimism but I'll be happy if it happens. If its a strategic move to wait until the last minute I understand
A Generational problem. CBS just posted a chart showing 47% of all D-1 prospects will transfer during their career.
With Jaylen who knows.. Maybe wants a fresh start. TCU recruited a ton of guards recently. The freshman Davis played well against KU recently. Dixon also signed a Top 100 PG for 2019 and has another 4-star combo-guard signed. Writing on the wall? I don't know.
Yeah someone on the Phog (now 247's) KU site started a thread saying he heard Silvio will play and start Saturday. He was asked about his source and said someone on the team. After that he backtracked and said he had a family source- someone in his family lives in Lawrence and relayed the message to him. He think between the Seth Davis info and his information passed on to him KU fans should feel good about him playing on Saturday.
Certainly no verifiable information but we'll know most likely within the next 24 hours or Saturday Morning whether that's happening. I wouldn't hold my breathe to it
I hadn't considered paying for The Athletic until that article but it makes it tempting now. Content like that is hard to find

Silvio, specifically, is going to crush WVU.
So are we to believe the poster that said someone on the team told him Silvio was playing Saturday?
I believe Fisher's injury probably has more to do with him not coming back right? This may be something he can't continue to play on going forward. We'll see though the kid is definitely talented enough to play somewhere else if he can get those issues behind him
Didn't expect that. Monday will be a BIG TIME game.
Great article. Devon is a stud.
That would be crazy if he keeps growing. Even if he doesn't he's good size besides muscle and strength training and seems to be improving his athleticism before he steps on KU's campus. A lot to like here. I especially like his shooting ability and "making others better" comments that I've seen thrown around about him
Other 2 are freshman. Calloo was playing about 10 minutes a game. Jones had only played in 1 game since December.
Not too long ago they dismissed Mike Cunningham a graduate transfer guard.
They are down to 7 scholarship players.
Someone probably should tell Mike Boynton you can only get rid of so many players in-season before they get rid of you too.
Interesting thought.
Some kids thrive in the moment. Opportunity and motivation can go a long ways.
Silvio took a few games but he was another that given the opportunity seized it and ran with it last year.
I keep thinking back to when Self went and saw him play and offered him a scholarship. The way they talked about him is what we are seeing right now. I hope it continues, he's becoming a favorite of mine already
True, at least you can keep it on the same channel for 4 hours. Maybe you get lucky, Wisconsin gets a huge home win and KU gets a road win. best of both worlds for you

Do we want Dedric and doke back?
I'd take them both back in a heartbeat
