The outcome of Miami's Dewan Hernandez eligibility case should temper expectations on Silvio. It would be a miracle if KU gets him back considering the circumstances

There is no evidence this happened because no contract has been produced that showed he did and there wasn't a money trail. Guess what the NCAA said? He is ineligible. Guess what they said on appeal? Enaruna is an intriguing player. I would expect we look at him more in the spring if there is an actual need for a wing/forward.

Agree on Charlie. With McBride coming in that could push him out mutually. Also good point on KJ, he could be graduating this spring and with Ochai's emergence and going forward won't be surprised.

KU is actively recruiting Hurt (as you stated above), Cassius Stanley & Precious Achiuwa. Hurt is supposed to visit KU officially in February, Stanley already OV'd is still sitting on his Top 3 - KU, Oregon, UCLA. Achiuwa has repeatedly said KU is recruiting him hard but he hasn't officially visited either and has slow played his recruitment.

Hurt is still the most viable option if Dedric does go pro. It's too early to say what Silvio and Doke will do. Silvio's situation is still up in the air. Doke is injured and most likely won't be 100% in time to do any workouts/combine stuff. Both could return as you predict. That would complicate landing an elite big man such as Hurt or Achiuwa.

I think we'll see at least one transfer (Charlie, KJ) or surprise draft decision. Still too early on Grimes especially if he impresses in March.

If Dedric goes pro and Silvio doesn't return landing Hurt would be crucial.

Have you checked Saturday's slate yet. Wisconsin at home against Michigan at noon, followed by KU @ Huggy Bear at 2.. Has that ever happened before?

Matthew Hurt had some huge performances last week. Hurt finished with 43 points and 17 rebounds in an 88-67 road win over Albert Lea on Tuesday. Hurt followed that up by leading all scorers with 44 points, 23 rebounds, and four assists in Friday night's win over Century. The five-star forward capped of his week with 23 points and 17 rebounds in Saturday night's 76-50 win over Owatonna.

Yeah the part about vacating wins, the Final 4 and the Big-12 tittle is getting too far ahead with the situation.

We'll have to wait to see how this shakes out first with his eligibility. I would hope logic prevails in the aftermath of the the ruling, one way or the other.

He's kept it simple when he has the ball. Shoots when open. Moves the ball if he's not. Pretty remarkable though the poise he's had so far

The more I read that it was more a split answer, he thinks Silvio will play this year but has no idea if that could be as soon as Saturday? Am I reading that right?

Anyways The Athletic broke this story and a lot of other places ran with the story so hopefully they didn't just catch a headline for the sake of it. Hopefully there is actually some merit that there could be a ruling one way or the other.

The last time we played in KC we crapped our pants under pressure. I would be okay with Jayhawk Nation having to travel outside friendly territory if it meant this current squad would focus on the task at hand and not have some inherent pressure to play well close to home. Just a thought though.

His scoop shots are a thing of beauty. Thought at least one of his 3's would fall but no such luck. He's a jumping bean and helping this team tremendously. Has looked good defending as well.

Yeah the box score is crazy. Very little scoring production for most of them. White who is usually reliable from 3 couldn't hit a barn. O'Connell had his best game of the season after playing like 1 minute against Florida St. Great individual performances mixed in by the future Top 3 picks in the draft have covered all the holes they have. I've been impressed (I hate to admit) that guys like Bolden, De Laurier, White have given them enough complimentary roles to be as good as they are

It makes you wonder what will prevail in March. 4 really good players such as Duke has or a team with depth etc like KU.

I can see that happening, it should be a game to 55 and Wade is back for them. Tech's margin for error has been about the same as KU's so far. Let's hope the purple cats show up for anyone other then KU
