Akinjo to Georgetown.

Memphis lands Antwann Jones (top 100 SG) that was previously SIGNED with A&M and former KSU reject Isaiah Maurice.

Antwann Jones on his 90th school in the last 3 months. Wow that's just crazy

Maurice is a bad apple. Memphis just filling bodies especially since their top 5 players coming back are Seniors

Lots of weekend action

Davion Mitchell PG transfer from Auburn to Baylor. Sit 1 to play 3. He's good.

Tarin Smith grad transfer from Duquesne to Uconn.

Former KU target Mark Smith transfers to Missouri. Eww

Anthony Mack from Wyoming to Miami. Sit 1 to play 3

Houston Baptist transfer David Caraher to St Johns. Was highly sought after.

Ibi Watson transferring from Michigan.

@approxinfinity

I'm counting around 15 4* recruits so far. That includes the expectation that Agbaji gets the bump he should receive by the end of 2018 rankings updates.

What's even more promising for the league is almost every team is adding an impact transfer. The league has really embraced transfers

KU- The Lawson, Charlie Moore

K-St- Austin Trice

TCU- Aussie import Alok

Texas Tech- Tariq Owens (grad transfer from St Johns)

Texas- Elijah Mitrou-Long (I believe Nas Long's brother), averaged 15ppg at his last stop.

Baylor- Mario Kegler- former Top 40 recruit, Machai Mason- star at Yale

Iowa St- Virginia Transfer Shayok

Oklahoma- Juco All-American Kuath. Grad transfer Reynolds at PG

Oklahoma St- Michael Weathers.

Looks decent. Arizona needs anything.

Romeo . a different look/ A different take • Apr 16, 2018 09:40 AM

when kids get pressured to stay home it rarely works out. there's pressure to perform that follows the initial decision.

Of course his stay is less then a year so its not as big of a deal. Indiana is desperate that's for sure. The town where Romeo is from is just as much Louisville/UK fans as Indiana with how close it sits to the border.

Bruce On The Warpath • Apr 16, 2018 09:36 AM

Jailbird (Wainwright) transferring. don't see him playing for anyone next year

Lol. They do need anything

@JayHawkFanToo

Definitely could happen. Although the ones that reclassify tend to be highly ranked and are not going to be under the radar

Langford • Apr 13, 2018 06:37 PM

@BShark

Harris at Rhode Island is the only one I could find.

Langford • Apr 13, 2018 06:35 PM

Keyontae Johnson would make the most sense- Oak Hill, not signed yet..

I get the feeling it could be someone who wants to back out of their LOI..

Well that is the list. I like Woods and Johnson and that is about it tbh.

Woods is visiting Ohio St this weekend. I don't see him leaving without committing.

Johnson is interested in Florida. There might be some movement there

Probably did, too bad he didn't go there

His ranking is going to go up anyway tbh.

Hope so, his ranking is dragging our class ranking down. (Kidding of course)

Langford • Apr 12, 2018 04:37 PM

@BShark

Your right, I'm butchering his name already. Not sure where I got the O from

2018-2019 Grad & Sitout Transfer Thread • Apr 12, 2018 03:52 PM

@Kcmatt7

Mooney has big time attention. Michigan, UConn, Texas Tech, Oregon, Creighton, Indiana, Iowa St, TCU among others

And it looks like he's already picked out his visit spots. KU might be involved too late if they did reach out

Langford • Apr 12, 2018 03:49 PM

@KUSTEVE

Cunliffe that was in witness protection in chain shoes most of the season? I get the feeling Agbaji passed him on the depth chart just signing his papers to come here.

I think KJ's primary position is predicated on what Doke does. Can't see him being his brother's back up at the 4, there's definitely more minutes for him on the wing currently. If Doke doesn't return I can see the Lawson's being the next Morris combo..

I agree, I see Grimes & Dotson being our 2nd & 3rd leading scorers.

Langford • Apr 12, 2018 03:38 PM

I think his dad said recently he wanted him at UNC. He also bashed Calipari and said his son would benefit from Self's hard coaching. He's certainly getting a lot of sound bites lately. Enjoying the 15 minutes of fame.

Looking at UNLV, Nevada and the Pac-12

Langford • Apr 12, 2018 03:33 PM

@jayballer73

Juwan Morgan returning to them paired with Langford would be a nice 1-2 combo. Their big was hurt most of the year too. Solid 3 possible. Its everything else around them that's freshman and soph's unproven that's the issue. I have no idea who's their PG either.

IU fans are nuts, like really nuts and passionate. Langford probably benefits them more from a recruiting perspective more for the future. The in-state talent will start to respect Miller

2018-2019 Grad & Sitout Transfer Thread • Apr 12, 2018 03:28 PM

Keyshawn Woods who left Manning wouldn't be a bad option. He can shoot and would give the team a veteran guard

Not impressed with his stats. Put up good assists and points, but not efficiently.

One of the top defensive players in the country. Lead the nation in steals I believe. Some P5 programs after him

2018-2019 Grad & Sitout Transfer Thread • Apr 12, 2018 03:25 PM

@Kcmatt7

I'm sure they will have a list soon. Goodman usually keeps on it. Verbal Commits has the list at 450 and climbing. And that's just the official confirmed released players

I'd be interested.

OU was interested but they went with the Pacific Grad instead. Calixte isn't KU material IMO. Played on a horrid team. These type of players are being overvalued a bit

Langford • Apr 12, 2018 03:18 PM

@JayHawkFanToo

Indiana will be lucky to be 500 next season in the Big-10. Miller is a solid coach but he still doesn't have a roster built to compete. Langford will definitely fill a big weakness on the team though if he goes that route

Langford • Apr 12, 2018 03:16 PM

Bragg announced and said Kentuck..I mean I'm going to Kansas. That was bad too

Now he's at his 15th school

Langford • Apr 12, 2018 02:16 PM

KUSTEVE said:

Why would he wait so long to announce if it was IU? Doesn't make a lot of sense.

It doesn't make sense. This is one of those recruitment's that makes you shake your head at the whole process.

Langford • Apr 12, 2018 02:13 PM

@Kcmatt7

I agree.

If we lose this one I think its worse that Archie came to IU and then started recruiting the kid. Self was recruiting him a lot longer then both IU and Vandy's current staffs.

I think distance is a factor in this. With his dad (who's heavily involved to say the least) they seem to be all about keeping him close. There are some other details I think are making the difference as well but who cares if he's not coming here to bother listing them.

We'll survive without him if that's what happens but I do think he would have given us that x factor player on the court.

yes the only thing missing was Elpoyo to trash Andrew Wiggins.

And we thought the off-season was going to be boring.

@BeddieKU23 -- Are you saying the tea leaves say IU then?

Yes.

As tight-lipped as they have been with this recruitment I can't imagine he stands up in front of his peers and desperate IU fans and goes somewhere else. That would be savage. Nobody knows for sure but it certainly seems to be trending their way. Good for them maybe they finish 500 in the Big-10 now

Langford • Apr 12, 2018 12:07 PM

They are announcing at his HS and its open to the Public. This one is over reading the tea leaves

Some Nike Summit Measurements from KU prospects/signee's

World Team-

N'Faly Dante 6'11, 9' 2.5 Standing Reach, 7'5 Wingspan

Josh Green 6'5.5, 8' 7 Standing Reach, 6'10 Wingspan

Both of these guys won't be in College long if at all.

Haven't seen the USA team measures out yet

Taken from another board in regards to Doke

I asked Dok if he was returning (at the banquet) and he put a big grin on his face and finally said “sure.” Had a word with one of the assistants coaches and his comment was 60-40 staying.

Langford • Apr 12, 2018 09:57 AM

Meyer picked Indiana FYI..

Langford • Apr 11, 2018 07:34 PM

It will be interesting to see if KU's name pops up with any recruits or transfers between now and the 30th. It's been crickets and we know that spot is going to get filled with something

Any Chance the NCAA would throw KU's shoe deal at them as reason to hold them accountable for this?

2019 Recruiting • Apr 11, 2018 04:20 PM

@BShark

I went to check out the ole Marylannder board for giggles. Surprisingly not as salty as I remember them over other situations involving KU. The headline was juicy.

Surprisingly they seemed more pissed they couldn't cheat better to get Silvio. Or pissed UA couldn't pony up more dough

Did our coaches know that Preston was driving around in a car he couldn't afford?

It seems like if he didn't have the little accident, Preston would have played all year and nothing mentioned of the car.

It's a good thing he stubbed his toe (i mean tire) then.

What would have been worse is KU not investigating the car after the incident and ignoring the flags right there. We have to feel pretty good now that KU will always put its program above a single player in that regard.

FBI • Apr 11, 2018 01:41 PM

@mayjay

Isn't NC St probably scared out of their britches more? The Indictment indicates a coach on the staff passed along the money to Dennis Smith Jr? Not that they have a Final 4 to be worried about but that certainly seems more troubling? No?

What do you make of the allegations involving coaches that happened in the first round of this in relation now to these reports.

How is a school or the NCAA for that matter supposed to vet something that was explicitly concealed from them. It took the FBI to find this out. Are we going to be victims and punished for not knowing, or having the ability to be the FBI before admitting Silvio?

The most troubling part of this to me is that KU's name is involved at all. You don't have to search too far to find less then amusing headlines aimed to make the casual person believe KU is involved. I'm certain this isn't the last we hear of things
