Figures this is the one game I went to this year. Got see a bunch of corn fed clown fans.
Dedric, Doke, Vick, Garrett/Grimes, Dotson. Subs Charlie and Lightfoot. MAYBE a couple hustle minutes for KJ. McCormick if we run into foul trouble.

My wife (KU prof) observed McCormick's intro to poetry class this week and said he seems like a great student.
Not a polished team yet, but think about the best/most experienced five guys all on the court together.... hmmm, not bad.

It will be very damn interesting to see what Self does with Dedric this year.
Some pro teams passed up on Dedric and could have had an 8 year veteran type player. Our gain!

Have we ever had a player that compares to Dedric? I think he's going to be a scoring machine, but he has to be the most un-athletic big man in KU history.

I recall the two exhibition games when Wiggins and Selden were freshmen, we looked really horrid, then played Duke in the champions classic and it was like an entirely different team.

Worst game of the year. No Pooka though. Since then, this team has been surprisingly fun to watch.

McCormick is going to be a beast when he gets a little more comfortable. He was amped up like a year-old golden retriever last night, running into teammates and chasing any ESU player that had the ball... the BALL the BALL !!!!!!!

@BShark -- yeah, ESU actually did areally good job collapsing on the big guys.
I should have checked the box score before saying anything about Dedric. He didn't waste a lot of energy, that's for sure...kind of like the Morrii twins their first year.

Butch Jones would be a horrible fit here. Or anywhere. I lived in Knoxville for ten years and it was no surprise to me that he was a bust there, but he had every possible resource available to build a team at Tennessee. Decent recruiter with the bucks backing him up, but he's really just not a smart coach.

@mayjay It was crisp and non sequential. That's what made me suspicious. Plus, who ever has a ten dollar bill? That's weird right there. Singles and 20s are what everyone has.
When Wiggins did his campus visit I saw his mom in a Lawrence liquor store, and she bought a 6-pack of Michelob Ultra. She paid cash. WHERE'D SHE GET THE CASH?
@Crimsonorblue22 She (Libby) is 13 months old. We got her last November, so she saw some snow last winter too.
It snowed in Junction City KS last night. I stayed at a cabin near Milford Lake on a trip to take some photos of rural schoolhouses. Expected to get some fall color and instead got some wintery shots.
