We've had 6 inches of rain and 8 inches of acorns falling in Lawrence the past 5 days. Stay safe, Jaypeeps!
@Crimsonorblue22 I agree. He seems to be a decent, happy guy. I like his interviews and even the play by play. I just wish he'd knock off the "practiced" broadcast voice.
@BShark Really, my only problem with Hanni is his voice.
You nailed it in your first sentence!
Whew
This will be the last play
Should've caught that bronc!
Shoulda been a pick fuller
One play could end it or lose it
Gotta love the NFL
Hey refs missed something. They'll make up for it
@approxinfinity he's the real deal
Ok refs
Here we go, Patrick! Money time.
I'm not sure if I've seen that td pass play from Mahomes to kelse at the pro level
@bskeet that's sort of where I'm at. After the main senate confirmation hearings, I disagreed with him philosophically on a lot of issues, but I assumed (and hoped) deep down, he was a probably a decent guy, husband and dad, and worthy of being a SC judge. Go for it. He's a JUDGE, right?
But that ridiculous display of bullshit Thursday was laughable. He's from the same high school class as me ('83). I know the Animal House and other movie references, what the drinking age was in every surrounding state in 1982 (nope, not legal) and all the other stuff he lied about for no reason. (Devil's triangle is like quarters? LOL) If he would have said, "hey, it was an all guys catholic school and we were sexually repressed, trying to be cool and funny with the yearbook," I would have gotten that because I was young and insecure like that once too.
But, like Maya Angelou said, "When people show you who they are, believe them." He showed us he's an entitled prick, who was never held accountable for anything in his entire life.
He'll get through with enough sham excuses for all the scared republican senators to vote for him, and be a useless joke like Clarence Thomas for his time on the court until, on his way home from a Georgetown pub, he drunkenly smashes his car into a light pole late some night. Hopefully he's alone in the car.
So much for smooth offense
I'd run that play again
@Kcmatt7 the underhand pass was def not a bullet
lets see some D and maybe a turnover
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to lose a few pounds if I expect people to keep mistaking me for Self. (happens about twice a year)
Bill has slimmed down a lot. I figured that was the inspiration for the Matthew McConaughey Lincoln spoof bit.
If the students and recruits like it, I'm good with the format!
Nice to see Vick not hiding in the background!
Mitch knows how to get to the edge of a wide angle lens group photo. Later in life, he'll drift more toward the center.
I used to subscribe to the daily LJW. It got thinner and smaller to the point where I could read the one new article while walking back up my driveway before tossing it right in the recycling cart.
I cancelled a couple years ago, but still always pick up the Sunday paper. It's $2.00. I can do the math, so when they put up the paywall I went ahead and got the sunday home delivery plus unlimited online for $10/month, with the bonus expectation that I wouldn't have to run out every sunday morning and buy the paper.
Thus far they've managed to deliver it 1 out of 3 weeks.
Throw it down Feild good grief
Nice block left guard
Need to speed this game up.
He was standing straight up when they collided ffs
that announcer is WRONG again!
looked clean to me, but I used to play football
@wissox usually we're arguing about whether we hate the helmets or uniforms by this point in the game.
announcer you are WRONG
I think the D is looking fairly decent to be honest except for a couple boners
@Kcmatt7 head scratcher for sure
I'm not sure KU had the option to decline that ineligible man penalty. Sure seems like 4th and 1 was better than giving them another shot at the first down which they got
well, that penalty on them didn't help us
Well, I sure didn't see that on the radar.
edit: it's a news channel9 nbc news story. OK to click.
Honestly, it still seems like it's probably aliens.
Plus he possibly carried the ball or travelled on at least 127 of those blow-bys.
I need to see more than that highlight reel against junior high kids.
Correction. I'm looking forward to everything about this season!

For Doke to average 4 more points they have to come away from someone else. I think with more depth and post options Udoka could be better overall but still score less than last year.
Doke unleashed could add 4 more points just by getting a couple offensive rebounds!
I'm looking forward to the Doke-Konate matchups this year.
You guys sure seem sold on Dedric. I'm not ready to predict him as b12 player of the year before seeing him play at least one game.
If he really is as dominant as Lafrentz, Gooden, Collison, Simien, Marcus and TRob I'll be very pleasantly surprised.
Start Bender. Put in Kendrick ASAP.
Nothing against Bender except my own low-ish expectations (and he's slightly exceeded those in the past couple games). I don't think it would be good to throw Kendrick into the fire immediately with a start.
Monday night coaching is fun!
@Crimsonorblue22 She made a lamp out of it and gave it back to them on their next anniversary.
I never saw the view from those south-facing dorm rooms, but it must have been pretty cool. Half of Lawrence was lined up to watch the demo.
A few weeks later, I snuck into the debris area and got a brick from the wreckage to give to a friend of mine, per her request. She (and her husband/co-conspirator) gave it to their daughter on her 30th birthday along with a note explaining that she was, um...conceived... in McCollum. Probably not the only one!
[McCollum RIP](
I'm completely sold on Mahomes. Kid has a silky smooth rocket for an arm and never seemed rattled. He'll have some ups and downs but all the tools seem to be in the shed.
We need Berry back BAD though.
Just realized.... I moved back to Lawrence in 2010. This is the first road game win! :astonished: :grinning:
