Where is Kentucky ranked this week? Does WSU need to play with more anger?

@mayjay First they have no idea how it is spelled unless they have closed captioning turned on. What does closed captioning show for Phog anyway?
Lot's of fans probably don't know about the electronic sign Beware of the Phog. I remember when it was taped to the glass.

Preston IS gone. Now coaches can stop working on the best systems using Billy. Several teammates can stop analyzing playing time with him around. Silvio is here. We have our pieces in place, let the master organize a final plan and put in operation imediately.

@justanotherfan A player just wants a chance to prove his worth. If a kid sees the writing on the wall then he's hoping for injuries or foul trouble for his teammates so he gets his chance.
Get the kid in for several first half minutes and see if you can afford to let him back in the second half. It's not like he couldn't have played while later in the first half. We weren't sharp anyway.
How can a guy sit for a month and come in to save the game especially from a shooting standpoint?

Complaining isn't the issue, it's the affect it has on the officials that causes concern.

@JayHawkFanToo Even with his edge on players he gets, intimidation of court officials, automatically coaching the national team and so on; I don't think he is as affective as he once was.

@HighEliteMajor The penalty after the '88 championship was a joke. Not allowing KU to defend their title. It stopped our tournament run which is still going on by the way.

In the last week we had a couple of great wins and we are setting alone at the top of the league for an incredible streak. It should be an Oh, happy day.
Then I see other threads on what will happen next week when we shoud be discussing tomorrow's game or nothing at all. Another post is about can't hardly wait til next year because of the great recruits.

I'm not concerned about OU (today) and I guarantee Bill is not making it an issue of that game. I am happy recruiting is going well but for now I'm just enjoying the moment thanks to coach and our boys.

Oh, happy day.

@nuleafjhawk I agree with you. For decades I watched or listened to Saturday afternoon KU games in the fall. There was some good years and bad ones.
For several years now I don't even acknowledge that KU plays football and won't til they are no longer pathetic. If KU can't find a coach to win games, then maybe it's time to replace those who are doing the hiring.

Won't be last time somebody comes to KU with a chip on their shoulder. We wanted him. It was his choice to settle on OU and watch us advance after they are eliminated.

@Kcmatt7 Agree with you completely. We all know that numbers can't lie; unless the NCAA is using them to justify their seedings.

One example: Why did XYZU get in and BOOU not with a much better record? Answer: The committee felt like the last 10 games was the best indication of value.

Don't ask . "They can justify any selection or seeding."

I don't know about anybody else but this Tuesday and Wednesday have been the best of 2018. Heck, Monday started kinda slow but finished great. I'm looking forward to tomorrow as well.

In some cases I can't root for either one. Just glad that the right one loses when that happens.

@jaybate-1.0 Every time they come up with KU's best teams and players Jo Jo is barely mentioned and sometimes not at all. I realize he played at Kansas long before some fans were even born.
If you are putting together an all time best KU team with 2 guards write down Jo Jo and then clamour over the second.

Self recruited Vick out of high school. Then takes him as a transfer. Self wouldn't do that for just anybody.

@BShark I haven't given up on Newman, not at all.Wish he would have been more consistent but blame injury issues, trying too much, great success this summer; all the above.

Rather have him take a while to find his mojo than have it early and lose it in late February or March.

With the passing of Jo Jo there will be a cloud over Lawrence for a while. The Phog will be very thick Saturday.

@wrwlumpy KU's first Jo Jo. My icon is his shot in the final four that was waved off. I knew it was a bad call when I watched it on the tube. Years later Ted said it was an impossible call. Class man! Class Jayhawk!

@JayHawkFanToo Only one foul was a legit one. The player throwdown was out of frusteration and had to be called.

@HighEliteMajor If you shoot and miss as a reserve do you ever have a short leash with Bill? Could that filter in Garrett's decisions for not pulling the trigger or driving? IMO he has a lot to offer this team.

Does longevity make you great? Sometimes that seems is the most important factor in the selection process for persons nominated for HOF awards.

I liked that he was involved in the game. He looked like a new employ that said just tell me what I can do to help. And several players were offering advice, evidence this is a team knowing that the new kid has a lot to offer.

@Jayballer54 Maybe our fans should wear black pullover jackets for the rematch.

In the second half Vick got called for a foul comitted by two WVU players on the guy Vick was chasing. Evidently the ref couldn't decide which WVU player to call it on and made the politically correct decision to call it on Vick. LaGerald looked away smiling.
