If Diallo clears I think he takes even more pressure off Wayne and frees him up more and can even help Wayne's assist game.

@jaybate-1.0 not sure KU has the shooters that Golden Stste had last year but could KU go to more of a spread and jump shooting team?

I know nothing in the recent history shows that's an option but without solid on the block play perhaps the spread offense could become a set play.

Open up the lane for slashers and let the post players come in for the dish. Of play pop a shot from three.

I went back I when I started my post/thread I never said anything about anyone specific. It was as a general statement. You took it personal from there. Not once. But more and when you couldn't get me to drop you did I again.

Your right you have no idea what my back ground in the game of basketball is. Nor do I know yours. So how are you able to question mine?

Some have tried to understand and commiserate with @JRyman. The fact is, the posts by @JRyman on this supposed "topic" is baloney. It comes from someone who can't find a way to make numbers works for him, or to challenge numbers that he disputes. He doesn't spend the time to analyze the stats, he doesn't take the time to rematch games, he clearly doesn't take notes on each game, he clearly doesn't look for trends or patterns, and he clearly doesn't care to analyze the game.

How does one actually "rematch" a game? Do you play it out on Xbox? Or did you mean "rewatch"? I'm sure you know what you meant. But no I don't take notes on the game with my legal pad and Mark time stamps. I did that a player. Now I enjoy the game. Yes I can watch the game and learn from it without having to take notes, hit rewind or over analyze the game. I do however analyze the game I. Real time. I can tell you after s game things that didn't work and do on. Then I move on to the next game. But for you to even think you know me and how I do things is ridiculous. Yes ridiculous. You do t know me from Adam and for that I am thankful.

The other thing is evidence. How are folks convicted of murder and other crimes? Many times it is solely circumstantial evidence. Yet they are found guilty by a jury, beyond a reasonable doubt. The highest standard of proof in the legal system.

Now we are dropping the legal system to back up opinions? That's a reach. Good one though.

But @JRyman's whining comes from someone who is uncomfortable and insecure in this sort of environment where debate and discussion, and opinions, do not go unchallenged.

Living inbthebland of football, Nebraska I have spent most of the season laughing at their okay on the field. I've been laughing since they hired old man Riley too.

They took a page right from KU. Fire the mean coach and hire the nicest guy in football.

But Husker fans don't get how I can laugh at them when KU is dismal at best this year.

My rebuttle is that I know my team doesn't stand a chance. That it doesn't have the talent to play in a power 5 conference. That we need the pee wee mercy rule of s running clock in the second half just so the score isn't 100 for the opposing team.

But it could be worse I guess for us Jayhawks. We could be Missouri fans.

We got rid of cox in Jamuary and have been cable and dish free since.

We do however still have Internet and use AppleTV on our main tv and Roku3 on another along with a smart box DVD player for a spare. I get ESPN on all of them just like negligence and Hulu thanks to using Someone else's login.

There are some things I miss but overall I'm pretty happy and what I get to see.

Plus the new AppleTV that's coming out looks like it will be a lot easier to use in its interface especially with the voice command. Not that the old one is har but...

@jaybate-1.0 Hey I'm all for opinions of others and free speech. It's what makes America great. I'm not trying to take that away or make it a bad thing.

I'm not saying you can't question a play in a game or a players play in a game.

What I am saying is how it's done. Why is there angst and personal attacks? Why is there no room for others to disagree with someone else's opinion without them being blind or uneducated?

If I follow Bill Self and take everything he says or does as scripture I am following on blind faith and don't understand the game.

BUT when I disagree with some one on this board about their opinion I'm uneducated and have not been around the game nearly enough to know what I'm talking about.

So to your point that it's all good isn't true. It's only good if you agree with the right people.

It comes down to this.

Is anyone on this sight have a higher basketball IQ than Bill Self does? Yes or no?

Does anyone know this roster of players better than Bill Self does? Yes or no?

Does anyone know what players need to be recruited and signed for this KU team better than coach Self does? Yes or no?

If anyone can answer yes to any of those questions please step out of your shadows and reveal what great coach you are. Prove it to the masses you are as great as you say you are? What's you wing percentage? Where? What level?

Not that tou can question him or the players. But DO NOT pass off you opinions as facts and then bash others when they don't agree with you. Don't be that poster that has Jim Rome syndrome and can never be wrong, just because you say aren't.

Am I right in doing so? Probably not. But I'll also be the first inline to call myself out when I make a mistake.

Look I get it we as fans and common folk use this to cheer, jeer and voice our opinions. But that's all they are, opinions. No one that is posting on here knows this team this coaching staff what they work on and practice want s player to do why they recruit this kid and not that one.

We can all speculate on it. We can guess and throw our two cents in. But to clobber other posters for disagreeing with an opinion acting like its s fact is annoying and bullish. Going after a player or players who don't read nor respond to these post time and time again is boring and overdone.

Yes I question coaching and players. But I don't need to beat a dead horse. After awhile it just becomes bloated and smells bad. No reason for that. Kick to hard and it's sure to explode you you like ectoplasm.

@jaybate-1.0 I grew up in that little town coffee shop. Every Saturday morning after feeding cow calf pairs going back into town for dads coffee listening to the old men talk about Fridsy nights game.

When I became a player I still heard all these old men talk about what I should be doing differently, what the team should have done here or the coach there.

The problem is non of them knew what coach wanted from us. They didn't know what we practiced or how.

Plus it was face to face. So guys didn't disrespect or questions ones comments in ways of being condensending. YES they would argue but it was done with respect. Not a demeanor of holier than thou like chat boards and fan sites are now.

Charles Barkley spoke to either Florida or Florida state this summer, one of the two football programs and told them when it comes to Twitter and Facebook they should type it out and wait 5 minutes retread it. Then wait another 5 minutes and delete it.

We all get caught up in our own feelings and insights, but then we sit behind a keyboard or tablet or phone and just spew things out that in our normal lives we most likely would not in person. Maybe it's due to instant reaction in person? Telling someone they are this or that and always wrong for disagreeing, might get a person punched in the face if it was done in person. Online there is no kickback like that, maybe your post gets flagged, but that's nothing as it could be In real life settings.

Back to that coffee shop. .25 got you a cup of coffee and one free refill. I learned a lot about sports in there on Saturday mornings, probably more about life though.

@drgnslayr I'm all good with constructive criticism. It has its place. What I'm against is the personal opinions pushed off as facts or higher knowledge to take a player down.

Maybe I was brought up wrong but never kick a man when he's down. Maybe Jamari isn't the best option? But to unload a wagon about his game everyone players are listed is over the top and well it's been exhausted to the point of nausea. As well as the point that you can't disagree with that opinion if you do you are a blind fool or a worshiper of Bill Self.

That doesn't make much sense to me. I can have my opinions as I do not live in North Korea, and I can express it. I don't need to throw numbers or dialogue out to prove it, because there is nothing to prove. It's an opinion.

@HighEliteMajor no I didn't watch the WUGs. Had things to do this summer. Like family vacation, raising my kids along with other things.

Plus it wasn't our full team to watch. Players that go to KU can't play cause they were born elsewhere, really doesn't make it "our team" when you bring guys in from other schools.

Jamari is still raw. He's played organized ball for less than 10 years. Yeah guys like Embid who have a knack might pick it up quicker. Maybe Jamari's numbers aren't what you want them to be when he's on the court but in comparison how are other players numbers when he's in the game? What are the other 4 guys numbers when Bragg or Hunter are I. The game? Not just the player themselves Hunter and Braggs vs Jamari's numbers but the rest of the teams? Just wondering if everyone's drop off? Just showing one set of numbers makes for only a one sided argument to end the way you want it to.

I haven't got to watch them play or scrimmage at late night either. Won't take much from the PSU game neither. I'll wait to pick a player when I have had s chance to watch them all play against D1 teams.

As for surgery and recovery everyone heals at different rates. Some people comeback and are a force like Adrian Peterson. Others take more time, might not make it back. No surgeon will ever say that two surgeries are the same nor will two people heal at the same rate.

I'd just like to see people step back and even down from their perches and see the players for what they are. Teenagers and young men. I'm sure st 21 23 years old non of us were doing our jobs at the rate and as well as our bosses wanted. We just weren't watched by the world.

@HighEliteMajor no Bill Self is not above reproach. That does not kill my argument or post. I'm smart enough to know that I am also smart enough to that when I'm wrong. Some people can never accept that. You seem to be the captain of that ship.

I don't have all day to cut and paste from old post not work numbers to back my opinions. I enjoy the world and what life has offered me.

We as fans know what we want to know and what we see and hear from others. So saying a coach knows more about his team is absolutely correct. A coach with a track record such as Self, Williams, K, and even Mota along with others know way more about the game than anyone here. They know what works for their system. What won't work against certain Ds or in different situations. That's why they coach and not sit behind a keyboard.

We are entitled to have opinions. Why I can't voice mine towards what I feel is discoursging and hateful without personal attacks is beyond me. Why is when I bring something up that rubs you wrong I become a crybaby or or have to run to momma? So I disagree with you. So what. I'm not a minion or a follower just because you throw numbers and try and belittle me.

I am not blind to the things that are a miss of KU basketball. No I don't think coach Self is the almighty figure of coaching either. But I'm also not going to sit here and bite my tongue with the insistent bashing of Traylor or the questioning of the severity of BGs injury and surgery like they have an insight or the knowledge to do so.

If it stings or hurts about my other thread I started, then I guess it's true. The truth hurts.

As for my meds since your not a doctor you have no clue what I should or should not be taking. So if you want to make it personal we sure can.

I'm just amused and annoyed at how much you think you know about the game itself.

What makes you know more than anyone else or have all this great knowledge of KU basketball with this roster and staff?

Are you at practices? Meetings? Film sessions?

So it's your opinion and no fact what Self knows when you say it just because you say it.

You'd think a fan like you would respect Traylor instead of consistently trash him and out him down. It's old and over worked now. We get it it you only like Jayhawk players that fit your system. Which is a system that doesn't matter cause you're not the coach.

It's a simple question or questions for the masses here.

Let me preface it by this first. Since everyone on here seems to know who the best players are, who the best coaches are on the staff, who should start, who should have never been a Jayhawk, who should transfer, the severity of an injury and so on. All based off opinions, no not facts, numbers are what you want them to be, you can swing numbers to work for you and against someone else, just depending on how much time you want to put into it so I do not accept that as proof.

So back to my question of "How many?"

How many practices has anyone from this site been too?
How many team meetings has anyone been too?
How many coaches only meetings?
How many team workouts?
How many dr appointments or rehab assignments?
How many film sessions?
How many people have talked to coach Self about the type of players he likes and what he is looking for?
How many?

Anyone? Bueller?

So without being there, no matter your stats or percentages or analytics it makes it all worth not and an opinion, not a fact unless you are there day in and day out with this team, this staff and or Coach Self himself.

I've read all the BS behind the hate for certain players, yes there is a hatred for Jamari for whatever reason, perhaps you couldn't even touch his jock strap in your prime and you are jealous, but it is a hate that is going around. It needs to stop, cyber bullying is just the same as being an ass in real life. He's a Jayhawk and a damn fine young man who has build his life from the rubbles of the streets, but hey haters gonna hate.

I've read that Greens injury wasn't as bad as we were led to believe, yet it did require surgery, so not sure who on here is a Dr, and no playing Operation when you were 7 and not getting buzzed, does not make you smarter than anyone else.

I've read this and that and how one persons opinion if it's different from the masses is wrong or a dreamer. Why? Why can't someone disagree with others? No one is perfect, and I know this because you are not God himself. Look thats what makes this a great forum, is that people can voice their opinions abut things, but when it comes down to two or three people always saying they know more about Kansas Basketball or the game itself it makes me laugh.

Who here is a winning coach? Who here was an all american player? Sure we all either played here and there, but that doesn't mean you know more about the game than someone else, sure it gives you experience, but not always knowledge. There are some great coaches in the world that weren't great players, and there are great players that can't coach a lick, so that isn't proof.

I'm just tired of reading people who think they know more than the next guy cause they say so. Or they know whats right for this team when they have never been to a practice or meeting or film session. Makes me laugh in all reality at how some people sound.

OK let the bashing on me begin. Make me laugh. Make yourself look smart.

Be a Jayhawk fan and cheer for everyone that laces up their shoes this year no matter your OPINION of them, because thats all it is.

Secondly did you see the story on Phillips and why he killed his cell mate? He roomier was a known gang member and had lots of weapons hidden in their cell. And was linked to other murders in the jail. Guess it is the survival of the fittest.

I would like to know his answers on this for the fact that there are a few people that question why he plays certain guys over others and the numbers don't match up.

They are the new Damion Lilard shoes made especially for KU.

That's his logo on the back of one the shoes.

So perhaps in time they will be out for sale. Probably November would be a good guess.

Because Hickory was not a real team. They were portraying Milan High School. MGM created the Hickory Huskers, yes they were the Huskers not Hoosiers in the movie, therefore the Pacers needed MGMs permission to use the Team name and Uni's.

Glad they are doing it and bring one of the greatest sports movies back into light for a new generation.
