Crazy does not begin to describe him...even Charles Barkley thinks ↗ he has crossed into stupid territory.
I agree. Remember the 70s and 80s when boxing was huge? Every decent athlete was going to be the next Ali or Sugar Ray and only a handful succeeded and then it was football and all wanted to be the next Jim Brown or OJ Simpson. Likewise with current athletes, every top 100 HS players considers himself a OAD and most of the top 10 believe they are the next Jordan or Bird or Magic or Curry and none of them are or will be...unless you are Lonzo Ball and your father claims your are now better than all of them combined...
Lavar Ball believes he would have killed Jordan one-on-one ↗, this is the player that averaged 2.2 ppg in his one year in college while Jordan was averaging 35 ppg in the NBA...yes, Jordan would have died...while rolling on the floor laughing his arse off. Now he wants to sell his BBB sports apparel brand, that so far sells piece meal from a web site, and the price is 1 Billion dollars for the rights to the 3 kids, except he could not sign a contract until the youngest is out of college which I believe is in 2020; this is just laughable and setting his kids for ridicule.
That is 5 out of 18 Division I schools or 28%. Kansas is sending 3 out of 3 or 100%.. No other state with 3 Division I schools or even 2 schools is sending all its teams. Minnesota and Vermont with 1 school each are the only other states that are sending all of it teams...or their only teams. I have not run the per-capita team calculations but it would not surprise me if Kansas is also at the top. No doubt Kansas is THE basketball state.
- Arizona 3
- Idaho 3
- Kansas 3
- Nebraska 3
- Delaware 2
- Montana 2
- Nevada 2
- New Hampshire 2
- New Mexico 2
- North Dakota 2
- South Dakota 2
- West Virginia 2
- Hawaii 1
- Maine 1
- Minnesota 1
- Vermont 1
- Wyoming 1
- Alaska 0
I have been trying to decide who to root for in this game and I decided to go with the in-state and conference team although it will not hurt my feelings if Wake Forest wins. The Big 12 and the ACC have been the top 2 conferences for the last few years and a win by KSU helps the conference and by extension KU. Also, the more games the more money the conference gets,..about $1.7M per win, not exactly chump change.
Did anyone predicted KU would win the conference by 4 games? I don't think so. KU did not just win the conference and tied one the greatest records of all sports in the process, KU made a statement.
This is a team of destiny. I am sure the players want not only a Championship but to make sure Mason gets the POY award in the process. Many analysts have dissed the team big time by indicating it will not make it out of the first weekend and I am sure the team is aching for some payback.
Here is the link to all KU post season information ↗. You should be able to get the latest info here.
Here is the link to March Madness Live ↗where you can stream all games.
Not only Frank, the entire team led by the veterans...
Amen to that. People forget the KU is the overall #2 seed and not the weakest #1 seed as some are portraying it.
Unless your TV has a built in camera and microphone, such as those that integrate Skype, you don't need to worry about it, There is no way to turn a screen into a camera and TVs, unless specifically indicated, do not have built in microphones.
Here is a site where you can get percentages for each team by round, ↗ Just place your cursor over the team you want to check and it will show you the path to the Title with the chances of wining as a percentage
Remember, live by the 3, die by the 3. This is the problem of one-dimensional teams like ISU, if the 3s are not going in there is not much else; definitely not an inside game. To win, ISU has to hit over 0.400 from the 3 since it is their bread and butter, otherwise they are in trouble; the margin of error is small.
There really isn't a "Vegas" line since each betting place has its own odds and they change continuously depending on the money wagered. Vegas Insider usually list the odds for the main sports books for each specific game and also the starting line and average. KSU is a 1 point favorite over Wake Forest; no line on KU yet until the opponent has been determined but I would guess 14-18 point is likely.
Here are the latest odds:
Mostly correct; however, Wooden did not work on AFH. He came to Lawrence in 1927 while being recruited by Phog Allen and worked on the North End addition to Memorial Stadium and long before AFH was even a concept; the construction of AFH began in 1952 when Wooden was already the HC at UCLA.
Others have mentioned many reason why this has been a great season and I am very happy with the way it went. Will I be disappointed with an early exit? Of course. I really would like KU to make it at least to the Elite 8 and after that i it is just gravy. A National Championship would be pure elation.
We seem to be good at beating North Carolina teams though...
Dayton is my undergrad Alma Mater and I follow them. The won the A10 conference and if not for some super long range 3s by Davidson at the end of the game, it probably wins the Tournament as well. In the last 3 years the made the Sweet 16, 3rd round and 1st round. the Coach Archie Miller is consider to top up and coming coach in College basketball and Calipari mentioned just this yesterday. It is a disciplined team that plays hard, much like Wichita, and it should be a good game. Fans travel well and Indianapolis is not too far so there should be decent amount of fans. Nothing would please me more to see Dayton bear Wichita and Kentucky although this is unlikely to happen.
I am not sure why the NCAA seems to hate all Kansas teams. WSU gets routinely under-seeded and KU get the shat often enough. At least, we are the only state with at least 3 Division I teams with all the teams making it to the dance...Kansas is THE basketball state indeed.
But it is different when you try it on a 4 year player; it will not work on a OAD...on the other hand, every HS player believes he is a OAD...
It really depend on how you define an upset, For example, Wichita State is a #10 seed and Dayton a #7 but Wichita State is I believe a 7 point favorite. No question that Wichita State should have been no lower than a 5 0r 6 seed and the seeding is extremely unfair to Dayton, which should be playing a true #10 seed and instead is playing a #5 seed as it was cited in just about every sports show since the brackets were announced. So, If Wichita State wins, should it be considered an upset?
Florida State ended up as the overall #10 and it has analysts scratching their head as to how this can be,,,FSU is not close to being the #10 overall team and I would not surprised if Dooley's boys send them packing.
I can see Xavier beating Maryland who, like most Big 10 teams is seeded above where it should be; the Big 10 is the worst it has been in a long time. Other than Purdue and maybe Wisconsin, most of the other team are not that good. I believe Oklahoma State takes down Michigan. Frankly, I don't see any team from the Big 10 making it out of the first weekend.
Last night I was watching the "experts" bracket discussion on ESPN and they had Gaudio, Adrian Branch former Virginia Player Cory Alexander and two other analysts plus the guy that clicked the selection. When they were discussing KU, Alexander kept saying that since TCU had beaten KU Miami would beat KU and not once he mentioned that Jackson, a second team All-American and arguably the best current player in the team did not play, and while the other analysts preferred KU, the twerp clicking the choices on the big board decide to pick Miami...really? and I mean REALLY??? No wonder ESPN is losing money, they are scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to competent analysts.
This is how you recruit him, you tell him...Tremont, you are Frank Mason 4 years ago and look at him now...SOLD!
Mason was a 36% shooter from 3 in HS and a volume scorer. Not bad for HS kid.
You did say you were 31...
They don't want to jeopardize ticket sales just before the dance. They will probably declare him ineligible after the tournament and after he decides to go on the draft...🤑
The father is going to create big eligibility problems for the kids. Lonzo almost got in trouble because the apparel brand his father created, BBB, featured pictures of Lonzo on it web site, something the NCAA frowns upon. I wonder why the NCAA backed off on this issue. ↗
Now, hos father is saying that the NBA will be even easier than college ↗, and now NBA executives are concerned ↗ about the father and it might end up sabotaging his career.
Payback for what Alford did the previous game. Childish both ways.
Most every coach seems to act that way nowadays. Look at Huggy, he is always talking or should I say berating the refs and he is a great coach, I am not sure why you dislike Miller so much but don't let it cloud you judgment about his coaching skills.
Remember when at the beginning of the season many in this board were calling UK overrated and that once they played Michigan State the perception would change? Well, UK spanked them by 21 and MSU never quite recovered while UK is. #2 seed. Michigan State is a middle of the pack team in the Big 10 which is having a down year.
Sean Miller can flat out coach. Arizona is playing the best basketball and has to be consider one of the favorites.
You mean Puke? 😂

@jaybate-1.0 Doesn't Georgetown have pretty high admission standards?
Yes, they do...unless you are a basketball player in which case there are no standards. They can thank John Thompson who told them...you can have high standards or a great basketball program but not both.
Both play in crappy conferences. Most prediction had the PAC 12 sending only 3 teams, albeit 3 very good teams.
Bilas was commenting on how inconsistent the NCAA is and how they arbitrarily change criteria from year to year. There is no reason KU should be playing ISU in the Sweet 16 and makes Cronin correct saying that they want to sell tickets. If KU and ISU meet in KC, no doubt it will be a sellout. Hopefully ISU used up its 3 point good luck and they don't come out on fire; of course they need to get past Purdue.
I personally believe that Wichita State got, once again, grossly underseeded. They are #8 according to Pomeroy and 2 spots above KU and they get a #10 seed? Un-effin' believable. Having said that, I hope Dayton, my undergrad Alma Mater, beats them like drum.
Trier is a very selfish player and it is going to cost his team dearly, probably at the worst possible time...or he could be the hero...
The did find some additional photos a few years ago and did a study that determined he was in bounds. It's all in the past now.
And so it begins. As I told you, there is a good chance Duke gets a #1 seed...the Coach K butt kissers are now making a case for Duke... ↗
Looks like Romar is safe...for the time being ↗...
Hopefully you can clarify the following. The Calvert girl admitted throwing a glass of something to Vick's face, doesn't this constitute battery and is by extension a violent crime whereas Jackson's actions were damage to property and not a violent crime and hence the lesser offense?
Next, apparently she was taken out of the starting lineup before the incident and while she was originally suspended, the suspension was lifted shortly afterwards and she was cleared to play but chose not to play the next game but continued to play extended minutes afterwards and it was only after her numbers dropped considerably during conference play that her playing time went down. A clear misrepresentation on her part of what transpired after the incident.
Last, according to the father, the attorneys indicated the desire to settle and indicated that "money is no object as long as it is within limits" and they wanted to keep the amount under $1,000....so much for money is no object. The entire statement seems to contradict itself and anyone with half a brain can see that this appears to be a gross misrepresentation of what the attorney likely said.
KU is the flagship Adidas program and would have gotten new units regardless, so I will guess it was planned well in advance.
If Duke wins the ACC tournament, they might very well get a #1 seed...do you think they would not give it to media darlings Duke and Coach K?
Typically the top teams in most conferences get a bye and the bottom teams fight it out to advance to the next round. In the Big 12 the #7 seed plays the #10 seed and the #8 seed plays the #9 seed. As the #1 seed KU plays the winner of the #8-#9 game and would not play the #10 seed unless the both advance to the final game. BTW, TCU and Tech. were tied for 7th place but Tech, took the #7 seed by virtue of the tie breaker. Makes sense?
The NCAA looks at the entire body of work and when you look at the record, strength of schedule, home and away record, KU has done enough to secure a #1 seed notwithstanding the loss to TCU.
KU and Villanova are pretty safe as a #1 seeds in the Mid West and East. Whoever wins the ACC will get #1 seed in the South and either the winner of the PAC 12 or Gonzaga will get the #1 seed in the West. It is really that simple.
Kansas City, Misery so I don't really care much...
It is the nature of the computerized systems as I outlined before. You can lose to a good team and move up or beat poor team and move down...crazy, isn't it?
Now, the 7th ranked team in the top ranked conference is probably the equivalent of a #4 or better in a lower ranked conference and probably would win going away in many of the other conferences including the MVC. Also, the committee looks at injured or unavailable players when weighing in the losses; all in all not really a bad loss all things considered plus it gives TCU a chance to the automatic bid.
Every thing is pre-designed on computers based on standard and tested patterns, and once the design is done, the equipment that produces the uniforms can easily be programmed to crank out the new design. As long as they have the raw supplies needed on hand it should not take much time at all.
I am with you. I believe KU will be the #1 seed in the Midwest and I will not worry since it does not help anyway...🍸
Swim away...🍻
Please, do show me the balance in your original post. Every single stament is negative, not one positive thing the team did.
In this or any forum all we can do is offer opinions and as such the are not right or wrong; however, you are attributing statements to the less negative fans that have not been made.
Yep. Because of ESPN he has the biggest audience but it does not make him the best or even one off the better bracketologists.
