Good satire can be funny, poor satire is not only not funny but offensive as well and promotes divisiveness, particularly when it is not just a single comment but a series of comments designed to provoke a reaction; I would bet dollars to doughnuts his publicist and agent were not amused. Chris Rock’s lines were not funny but offensive to a great deal of people except to those who want to promote race divisiveness. Thanks but no thanks.

@JayHawkFanToo Serious question, does the Big 12 have a team consistently better than Xavier? I don’t think so. Always wins 20, has made the NCAA tourney all but two seasons since 2004, has 7 Sweet 16s since 2004, and has more Elite Eight appearances (3) than any Big 12 team not named Kansas during the Bill Self era (since 2004).
Well, of course it does, it is called KU which last time I checked was still a member of the Big 12.
I have always maintained that Xavier is a real good program that has had the benefit of very good coaches who all used the position as a springboard to bigger programs including Pete Gillen (Providence, Virginia), Skip Prosser (Wake Forest), Thad Matha (Ohio State) and Sean Miller (Arizona); last time on a thread where a poster (who shall remain nameless lest incurring the risk of a 5,000 word rebuttal ) stated Miller is/was not a good coach and I mentioned his success at Xavier and of course Arizona. Chris Mack has also done very well and this might be his best team.
You really think that KU fans wanting to vote for Graham will see other names first and change their minds?
Many actors/entertainers appear really funny and/or smart when reading lines others wrote for them. When they don’t have a script, have to come up with their own material or worst of all, have to ad lib, they show how, shall we say “not smart” they are.

@BShark Disagree. The newest Rock and Chappelle specials solidified them as among the best ever in my mind. Certainly among the best active comedians.
Are we talking about this Chris Rock ↗?
@Fightsongwriter @approxinfinity
Names are In alphabetical order.
Villanova’s conference title streak ends at 6, it was the current longest by a team not named KU. When you think about it, it makes the KU streak that much more amazing.
I really don't think this is feasible scenario. Nike does not have a contract with the NCAA that I know but it has legally binding contracts with lots of schools it cannot break. Nike is probably lying low because they are probably next; no way Adidas is in this alone.
Spot on. I agree , UVA probably runs into a hot shooting low seed team and goes out early. Maybe a Farokhmanesh relative is playing for a low seed team.
My post was somewhat tongue-in-cheek (the African Studies was nod to UNC) but here is the the break down for West Virginia ↗ that has such a good Sport Management program that 4 players are on it...heck, they even have a Pre-Sports Management program...really? Between these 2 programs and Undergraduate studies and interdisciplinary students, whatever those are, they have 11 out of 13 players. do you really need 4 years to study Sports Management? I wonder how many agents or sports executive studied that in college. What exactly do you do with degree in Interdisciplinary Studies or Undergraduate Studies?
- Interdisciplinary Studies 4 - Ahamad, Harris, Hunter, Knapper
- Undergraduate studies 1 - Allen
- Busines 2 - Bender, Harler
- Sports Management 4 - Bolden, Carter, Miles, Routt, West
- Pre-Sports Management 1 - Konate

@Texas-Hawk-10 it seems they have the capacity to, since they shoot 38.7% from 3.
I have seen them a couple of times and they are a very disciplined team and they ONLY take 3s when they are wide open which explain the high % and why they don't take many shots.
Hey...they scored 67 last night...
Unless KU collapses in the Big 12 Tournament, it has a high chance of getting a #1 seed. Only UVA and MSU have 3 or less losses and neither has nearly as many 1st and 2nd quadrant wins as KU, no other team does.
What is this sport you speak of? In March no less? Blasphemy I tell you, blasphemy.

No mention of Lightfoot?
He will end up being a very good system player at KU but his pro prospects are limited. This is why he is studying Engineering instead of Sports Management, Communications or the overwhelming favorite of OADs...rim shot....African Studies!!!
42-41? Only if the play 2 OTs. :smiley_cat:
I am with @KUSTEVE. A law suit at this time would bring on so much attention that it would seriously affect the team which despite the distractions, still has a lot of talent and good enough to be selected pre-season #1. Lots of time to file afterwards and add additional charges if the team does not do well and the distraction caused by the article is blamed for it.
If KU can move the ball the way it was doing it against OU that Bilas called it a thing of beauty, it can get wide open shots. I am not sure UVA has seen anything like it...obviously OU had not.
He needs to position himself in the corner opposite Svi and start hitting the short 3s and hitting the boards when someone else shoots. He has shown he is capable of scoring big, he need to do it more often. I was surprised at his low FT percentage.
I imagine the FBI has an understanding with the NCAA not to disrupt the upcoming tournament. I expect the :shit: to hit the fan afterwards and the fireworks to follow.
He said afterwards he forgot he could not move...
That was unreal. Why not just throw the ball past the half court? Either someone has to get it with no time to shoot or goes out of bounds and Virginia has to inbound it from under its own basket. Don’t teams normally practice and have play designed for situations just like this?
Louisville plain and simple gave the game away.
Loved JAG. The head of the JAG group in the series, Admiral A.J. Chegwidden, makes periodic appearances in NCIS LA. Major Sarah MacKenzie was a babe.
He might be back sooner than we think. Chicago is not doing well (20-41) and will likely miss the playoffs; fans getting impatient and his seat getting really hot.
Maybe he can join Daddy Ball's new League.
Too many things do not add up like discussing a payment long after he committed? I am not saying he is not guilty but we are a long ways away from stating with certainty he is.
Like I said before, I see lawyers, lots of lawyers and lots of law suits in the future.
Yes, he indicated that he will be vindicated...but then, everybody does so nothing new there.
@jaybate-1-0 rule #1 of posting...if you can't dazzle then with brilliance, baffle them with the bull...and a few buffer posts, whatever that is.
@jaybate-1-0 Rule #2 of posting...if you are called on your nonsense, go back to rule #1... getting personal this time around.
So predictable, never changes and likely never will.
The funny parts is that if he knew for a fact what he posted was true, he would not need to do any leg work for any one, as he calls it, he would just post the information. Hogwash is hogwash...even if it is 2,000 word post.
We are all entitled to our own opinions, we are not entitled to our own facts.
The only problem is that the photo in question was never published and nobody has ever seen it.
I see, no answers. Nothing new there.
I don’t believe KU recruited him at all.

St Marys is going to be a 10 seed or so which is incredibly stupid.
St Mary’s is a legitimate top 25 or even top 20 team, a 10 seed would be ridiculous.
Where do you get your information that the NIT or any of the other tournaments are or were corrupt? I remember watching the NIT in the 70s when it was a prestigious event and never heard back then or since that it was corrupt or any of the other tournaments for that matter.
Do you have any factual information or is this another Jaybate theory?
The Suns and Kings are the two most dysfunctional franchises in the NBA and unfortunately several KU players have landed there which did not help their careers.
The Missouri AD indicted the Governor on charges he took a compromissing picture of the woman he was having an affair; however, and as reported on the news, the don’t have the picture which may or may no exist and are “working on getting it.” Of course the DA and the Governor happen to be of different political parties and worlds apart ideologically.
Not getting into politics, just showing a current example of how stories are reported and even charges brought up with sketchy or non-existing evidence.
When you are a the bottom the only way to go is up since the other team tend to take you for granted. A lot more difficult to stay at the top year after year with every team gunning for you.
Look at the best game just about every KU opponent has played all season, it was probably against KU. Texas Tech and OU. among others, learned the hard way what it is like to be one with the bull's eye. Amazing what coach Self has done.
Lorenzo Romar is coaching Arizona? They are so screwed...
Now, the real question is...will the organ play The Camptown Races when he comes to bat?
Well...We do share common ancestry and I did meet her one time but she was older...not that I would have cared...
KSU was in the bubble before last night and no longer in the bubble now and seeded 10...go figure.
We must have been neighbors...my first teenage crush...
Elpoyo is POd because he got bad news...
Imagine the recruiting pitch...we took two marginal top 50 HS players and turned them into Players of the Year...

It is also why virtually no major news organization releases anything until they have one or even two corroborations.
You are thinking about the way it used to be which is no longer the way the MSM operates now. You have frequent occasions recently when organization like ABC and CNN have had to retract stories that were not properly vetted because they feared someone else would come with the story first. News organization now compete with Social media which has no controls...a shame, really.
The times they are a changing - Bob Dylan.
It's a good thing ESPN is not in charge of selections and seeding.
The longer 3 point gives players an opportunity to shoot closer to the NBA range which is not necessarily a bad thing; many players routinely shot from there anyway. Longer rebound might favor the offense.
Four quarters help coaches to do in game adjustments having a longer time to do it in between quarters. Actually, it would have given Devonté a much needed additional rest.
Resetting the clock to only 20 seconds after an offensive rebound helps speed up the game some.
Since the foul count resets every quarter, the rule will help teams that do not foul. Huggy will not like that one.
I am not sure if the wider FT lanes favors offense or defense. Getting close to NBA rules might not be a bad thing, although it helps mostly the tiny number of college players who go to the NBA.
I don’t see anything that will change the game that much.
...and this is what UK fans don’t get to experience from their top players. Pretty sad for them actually.
Several upsets in the making. UNC trailing Miami by 7, Auburn trailing Arkansas by 9, Rhode Island losing to St. Joseph by 30.
In the conference Baylor destroying OU by 25, OSU beat ISU to keep some hope alive and KSU and TCU in a tight game with seeding implications.
ROFLMAO.
Of course NBA execs want to see him play, they want to make sure they don’t pick damaged merchandise. A good showing and he goes up a couple of spots a bad showing or a worse yet a reinjury and his stocks drops at best or he becomes the next Isaiah Austin.
Ever since ol’ man Oden, the NBA is leery of players with a history of serious injuries. Remember Arthur? He should have been a lottery pick and almost dropped of the first round and was picked #27 because a rumor he had a health issue (kidney) ↗, in my opinion, he should sit the rest of the season and not risk so much, he will be a millionaire any way and will not have to wash away as much stench from playing for MU.
