I really think I prefer Pettiford to TyTy...

TyTy has an athleticism about him and size. But something about Pettiford just looks like he's they type of guy who is severely underranked and has something to prove.

@BeddieKU23 accurate. I always thought he had the Diallo mentality too when he was in the game. If he touched it, then he was shooting it. And that is not the way to break into a Bill Self rotation

@BShark Agreed. I don't see the point of rolling out the same squad we saw this year into next season. The roster makeup of last season alone killed us. I think some underestimate how impactful someone like Bishop would be on next year's squad.

Then you throw in a couple of guys who can actually drive the ball to get a bucket and voila, you have a group who might not go on 8 minute scoreless stretches weekly.

@KirkIsMyHinrich Idk. I think this year is the exception considering the types of guys leaving programs this year. And the reality is if you aren't getting a transfer who can play big minutes for you this day and age then you are doing a poor job recruiting.

Literally every single elite 8 team has a transfer playing big minutes for them. Several of the teams have like 2 or 3 playing big minutes.

The transfer market is a lot deeper and more talented than it was even 5 years ago.

Will really be interesting to see how full on free agency plays out. This seems so crazy on the surface. So many good players on the market that could step in day one and be an impact player.

Reality is in a normal year we he never gets on our roster.

And there is hardly reason to discuss - we are locked up with Adidas through 2031 whether we like it or not.

We can revisit this in a decade.

But Clark has been a disappointment.

Overall though tbe defense finished the season as one of the best in the league so I think they’re fine on that side of the ball.

If Texas doesn’t hire Beard we should all be thankful. Beard with that UT roster would have been scary

@Marco He was at OU for a decade... that's quite a long time. And his shortest stint anywhere was 4 years.

@BeddieKU23 He's a project that I think would struggle to see the floor anyways after watching tape. I didn't watch it and think he was a must-land kind of prospect.

Being in Vegas would be sweet as a coach. Tons of AAU tournaments in your backyard. Findlay Prep there. You'll get visits you may have never otherwise gotten because parents want a free trip to Vegas.

Honestly it is probably more shocking UNLV isn't better on a routine basis.

@BShark I think you can just be blunt with him. Gethro is out - we are going after a guy we think will play over you so the situation has changed. If Curry still wants to come after that then he can come.

@BShark I just think there are like 10+ transfers I'd rather have than Curry. So he better be more than that long-term because I think we could land a guy who could take over Dave's role next year and we will instead be taking Curry.

I honestly have such little faith that he will be an impact player next season that he is probably going to end up in the rafters lol.

@BShark Yea he just has a lot of development left to go. And besides injuries the weird offseason killed guys. We saw what 5* players looked like at UK and Duke without a normal offseason to get them off to a good start.

The basketball gods are just out for vengeance. I'm not sure what Bill did to them, but he really needs to sacrifice his first born son or something to get us back in their good graces.
