The Timberwolves are looking very good lately, too. It must be fun to be a Minny sports fan at the moment.
I really like the way Wiggins has been playing lately. His defense has really improved (probably a lot due to being surrounded by Thibs, Butler, and Gibson), and he's getting better at doing that aren't just scoring. I know his stats and shooting have dropped off, but just by watching him play I would say he looks like he's starting to figure it out. He also looks a lot bigger and stronger.
Playing against experienced guards in Jevon Carter and Daxter Miles Jr. Playing against a West Virginia team that is looking to rebound after a loss and should be very focused. Playing in Morgantown where whistles go to die. Playing against a KU team that lacks grit and toughness. If KU doesn't make 3's this will be ugly. West Virginia by 12. I hope I'm wrong.
"I believe that a resolution on Billy will come first."
Hmm... So am I allowed to "smh" now. Whatever.
I remember when Pitino tried to press. Good times.
I miss Kirk Hinrich.
Horrible thing to happen to anyone. I wish him good luck with his fight.
I make a point to not hear Fran. I utilize the mute button on my television more and more when I watch KU games now because it seems like the commentary is being done by Fraschilla, Dakich, Walton, or Vitale. The only one I enjoy is Jay Bilas.
@Kcmatt7 What does your crystal ball say about Billy and Silvio?
Would you say that he looks like a new man?
Oh my gosh, steals on defense and shots at the rim! More of that, please.
23 3's and Udoka hasn't attempted a shot. Not good.
Confirmed you are Melvin Weatherwax.
We won't lose. Stop sending negative vibes. I can feel your negative vibes.
Nice tackle by the Kentucky player to close out the game.
Great. Good for you.
I just noticed that Tom Crean is doing commentary. I think he's done a pretty decent job.
Welp. I suck.
The fact that he hasn't been awarded amateur status yet.
I don't understand how West Virginia essentially plays a 40-minute hockey game and yet Bob Huggins still complains more than any other coach in basketball.
@JayHawkFanToo No I don't think they should drop every other case and prioritize Kansas. However, I do think that they should arm themselves with the personnel to deal with the each case that they are presented with in a timely manner. And I can't say for sure, but I would guess that they have the money to make that happen. I don't doubt that international cases are trickier than domestic cases, but I still believe the De Sousa matter should have been resolved by now.
It would be so nice if Baylor could pull one out in Morgantown but that seems unlikely. I'm not sure who I want to win between OU and Texas Tech. Probably OU.
I mean, presumably the NCAA has received all necessary documentation at this point from the our end. They have clear requirements for meeting amateur status. They grant amateur status to thousands of student-athletes every year, including many international candidates, and I would assume they are well-versed with the protocol when considering foreign students. So either the documents received meet the NCAA's standard for amateur status or they don't. I guess I'm just not sure why it's taking so long to award De Sousa amateur status or otherwise. And I would guess that De Sousa plays before Preston.
No actually I still don't understand why that would take this long for De Sousa.
I don't understand why this is taking so long with De Sousa. Preston, sure. But De Sousa?
@HighEliteMajor You should go work for ESPN.
@wissox The 97 team in particular. Such a great team. I will always hate Arizona.
That's true but if ISU is going to get Kansas it will be in Ames this season.
@wissox You're right! I forgot they played basketball in Manhattan.
@jaybate-1.0 I said that West Virginia was the biggest threat a while back and I still believe that. But I wouldn't count out Oklahoma or Texas Tech. The game today was in Morgantown and West Virginia is extremely hard to beat there. I think Oklahoma will return the favor in Norman when they play again.
Good win tonight and need to get the next two games because the schedule becomes very very difficult after KState.
Okay Melvin Wea -- I mean BShark.
As loaded as the Big 12 is and given the double round robin, we know everybody is going to lose games. Just have to hang in there and take it one game at a time. Keep grinding. And not lose anymore games at home.
Duke, Carolina, Kentucky, Arizona, Mizzou lost. Kansas won. Good day.
Shortest handshake ever from Jamie Dixon.
Officials can't see his feet they are blinded by his hair.
MITCH LIGHTFOOT CHAMPION OF MEN
@wissox Whatever, Kentucky fan.
I don't know if Billy's mom did or did not know. I do know that it would be hard for me to stay quiet if I had a kid who was being harassed on social media.
Just makes me appreciate Frank (and Josh to a lesser extent) even more. The team lacks grit and toughness. Mason had about an entire teams worth of grit and toughness.
She probably shouldn't have said anything but put yourself in her shoes. How would you feel right now if this was your kid?
At least KU has an easy next game @ TCU, though.
Eh, I don't have too many complaints about how Graham played tonight. He went to the line 13 times and had 6 assists. If I were to make a criticism it's that he got a little too cute sometimes and turned the ball over. He had 5 turnovers. I think getting beat by 15 on the glass was the biggest thing. Tech just look like they wanted it more than KU did tonight.
Graham was the only one who drove to the basket. And Cunliffe a bit at the end. Graham shot 13 free throws. Doke shot 7. The rest of the team shot 3. Vick and Svi have to be willing to put the ball on the floor and try to get to the line every once in a while.
@truehawk93 Depends if the 3's are falling.
6-26 from 3, out-rebounded by 15, and turned the ball over 15 times. Not going to beat many teams doing that.
Congrats to Tech, they played hard and deserved to win.
And this is why Self wants a 3-2; because when KU can't make 3's they lose.
Can't throw a rock in the ocean tonight.
@Crimsonorblue22 He was moving after Newman left his feet. It was the correct call.

@KirkIsMyHinrich And missing the point is missing the point.
I'm not the one playing the game here, pal. It doesn't matter if my focus is on KU's poor play or bad officiating. So I don't think I'm the one missing the point here. Thanks for counting my posts, though.
