@BeddieKU23 no, didn't see it. Have watched him play though. Would've been nice to be able to sign him, huh? At any rate, I'm good with our entire roster being made up of top 100ish or so guys like Agbaji, Wilson and Braun every year, but as Roy succinctly put it one year when playing Darren Hancock, "sometimes you just need an athlete," or two or three.

@DCHawker ditto myself. The lack of athleticism is all too obvious. The way for this team to win is pass, pass, and pass some more using as much of the shot clock as needed while looking for high percentage shots.
@BeddieKU23 I didn't watch the game, so I'm not sure what occurred tbh. I'm all for emotion, but not the "look at me, I'm king kong" menacing mug and flexing while standing over a fallen player. That's what I'm referring to.

Not a fan of players lording it over fallen members of the opposing team. We all know what can happen when that occurs, don't we? I would take it a step further, T the player up and sit him for the rest of the game.
@jayballer67 We will be okay, my friend. With who we have coming back and coming in (and the NCAA bullshit hopefully being resolved by then), we'll be fine. With all that has transpired for going on three years now, I would argue that the past three recruiting classes have been the most important of any that we have ever had.

@Kcmatt7 I wouldn't blame Enaruna if he did. We have even more frontcourt depth coming in next year, so unless he just abdolutely stood out I don't see how his playing time could increase.

Agree with you on four of the five, but I'd swap out Garrett for Braun who I would tell to shoot the damn ball and keep shooting the damn ball. I would still give Garrett starting minutes, but have him coming off the bench filling in at three positions.
@approxinfinity I get what you are saying, but when people talk about a starting two you usually think "outside shoiter," which though he has gotten better Marcus is not.
Maybe I'm high, but I think that our starting 5 should be Wilson, Enaruna, Braun, Harris and Agbaji. McCormack, Garrett, Thompson and Tyon coming off the bench.

I am with you, Harris has got to start and Dave has to sit. And I know that Bill is loyal, but with the makeup of our team Garrett would be better served both offensively and defensively coming in off the bench and filling in at multiple positions. It is what it is.

Yeah, pretty front end loaded. To be honest, I never thought that we were top 5 to begin with. About 23 or 24 tops. Cobble together a few wins and we'll be okay. Like I said before, I'd be ecstatic if we made it to the 2nd weekend.
Man, at this point, considering the games that we have left what? Fourth in conference and an eight or nine seed.
I would prefer the two be Jossell and Tyon. Enaruna is showing some game, the light is coming on. But I would understand if he did transfer. Who knows, maybe all three will.
@BeddieKU23 Yeah, we loaded up on wings no doubt. With everything going on that was probably out of necessity, we had to sign them because that was who we could get and we needed bodies. But we definitely need a couple of guards.
Wisconsin is doing well. Who is their coach again, and how old is he? That might be one to add to our list.

I do not think that Kentucky is going make the tournament, they are done. At any rate, it is going to be interesting after the season to see Cal push all these highly touted so-called OADs to the NBA draft door and in the process put his team next year in the exact same situation as the one that they are in right now. The lack of any continuity has finally bit them in the arse.
It will be interesting to see where we are ranked this next poll. Who are we playing next again? This team needs a couple of wins, bad... (update)* I just checked, we play OU @ OU, hope we play as if our seeding depended on it because it definitely does at this point.

I had no illusions about us winning the game. Infact, I thought that it would be a double-digit 17 to 20 point beatdown. The best that we can do this year is 2nd in the conference, at best. We have serious scoring issues and at times damn near non-existant post play

Kentucky (in a crap conference pretty much every year), North Carolina and Duke are all unranked. When was the last time that Kansas wasn't? And unlike that of Gonzaga, we play in a real conference. Do we not have - with everything that has transpired, and yet he still puts together solid recruiting classes and keeps on winning - a great coach or what?

The virus is - though I will take the vaccine when sometime next spring it is finally available for us all - never going to go away.
