hr is Donovan Dent from New Mexico Sporting Nation ranks him as the 30th best in March Madness he is a 6'2 pure PG , states he is one of the fastest players in the Country with the ball in his hands. Beats defenders off the dribble , He averaged 20.4 ppg this year has a solid floater , he shot 40.9 from the three this year although it was only sixty six attempts , he is a pure ppg who can get his team playing at a super fast tempo.- -might be worth a peek.

Thing is chances of drawing big NIL they stated in the range of a Mil, same as they named some other players got this year , they mentioned Hawkins even though he was reported at two million Gonna draw quite a list of suitors.

They listed Florida Texas Tech- for a couple, I guess he use to play with Toppin and they said Toppin had quite a decision to make about PRO, but siad no matter what he does quite sure he will have a lot of good to say about Tech, so might be a waste of time-- neve know

@BeddieKU23 I think Calderon might surprise some. Not saying he is going to be some stud, but I think he can add more them I'm getting aa read on from People. He can be a quality relief for some time

@Jhawk69 Probably so, I have said for some time- -Dickinson was a bad fit-- he was such a liability on defense, constantly getting beat on line drives, causing other teammates to try and support and leave their man trying to pick up Hunters. -- He had about a 2 inch explosion- -vetical was pretty much non existent - Bottom line he was just slow non athletic, which w really need so badly - some mobile athletes, like Flory, sure /flory is raw but he is vey Mobile and rim protect and get out and run, I think his offense will come.

Sure Hunter could do well most times on the offensive in but it was negated on the defensive end, He showed well against smaller five men, but you put him up against a quality five man same size and he was pretty neutralized.- Just Bad, so answer to your question is-- -Yep , pretty much

Well now really not sure what to think. Just read article from Swain about Flory experience and his first year.

Made several comments about his freshman year and where he thought he had improved and where or what he needed to work on.

Yet the thing that could be seen either way, I guess just really hadn't thought anything on this but when asked about his future at KU, He said he was so focused on the Season he really hadn't had time to think about it , but was probably gonna to talk to his people and see what he next step would be.

This , these six words " What his next steps would be "- -Those words' threw me a little bit, I guess I was just taking to much for granted. Hadn't even thought about any possibility with him about leaving. Now that could be a whole bunch of nothing OR maybe he IS or has given some thought about transferring hitting the portal , I just really hadn't even thought about that, just assumed he would automatically be coming back. I would think with Peterson coming in and talking about how he was looking to play with Flory-- -and Flory knowing he still had work to do, it was a given----- well maybe not.

Saying all that I STILL would be shocked if he left/stunned but neve say never I guess just a little unsettling to hear, probably making a whole lot out of nothing . -- What ya all think ?

@kjayhawks Well there is no doubt Peterson will be gone, already projected quite possibly the # one pick in the draft - -If Flory has a solid year, pretty decent chance he goes too

@BeddieKU23 The thing with leaning on the young players is you will have some people that is on here and other areas start saying if we were to do that-- -Well Self needs to Go he missed the portal again , he doesn't know how to recruit anymore, the game has passed him by, why are we recruiting these young players, we MUST WIN NOW and that would all be BEFORE the opening tip of the Season.

For me I agfree it's gonna to be really hard to figure which way to go . If it turns out we need massive replacements I think we might just stay put on HS kids now, MAYBE one more if you can find a solid player that hasn't committed don't think your going to find any stud that probably hasn't committed already, but a good solid 30-50 range player to go with Peterson Calderon and tiller..

I think if he qualifies which I hadn't realized he was having trouble with that , but if he does Calderon I think just might surprise some people and be a little better then we think

I dunno cause kind of feel/think I consider McDowell / 7 even Passmore young to go with Peterson and Tiller, because yes they have been in the program but when they hit the floor it still is going to be a pretty new experience because they both have seen vey little court time but have at least been in the System I thin Kease is going to have to b ready to play more minutes, with obviously El Marko. It's going to be a vey interesting next year, Got to have some experience but where is that coming from ? - - -Flory ? who else you got with quality minutes from this year ?

Fits some here , a that is all that seems to qualify as being a successful Coach Pretty solid words from a Legendary Coach in his own right If a little banner is what makes you tick then if that's what it takes for you to pound your chest and say look at us well then , you have lost what it means about being Successful. Coach Self is a VERY successful Coach with many Successful Seasons Period , end of story

I know this will come out like I'm talking out both sides of my mouth but , I will always be a Harris--- & Adams fan they put out all the time true Hawks BUT having time to really think about things it will be nice & refreshing-- for a fresh start.

Think we just HAVE to be able to find and bring in couple big men , guys that are much better athletic-- better athleticism, mobile fluid. Big's that can really stretch the floor- -Also true also for some Athletic wings.

Bottom line just GOT TO have better mobile athletic players just a must

@dylans ya I know it did-- I still have checked in on the others though, not glues to the set but hoping as a Conference we make a strong showing. Others can see what w have to go through beating one another up

Even at that how great would it be to have ISU win and our other Big 12 team, forget who that is right at this minute but they win and we would have right at 1/3 of the sweet sixteen

You realize the Big 12 is - -- - 9-1 so far in the tourney ? -- we won - -6 out of 7 first round games and then we went 3 =3 today/tonight, I'd say that's not to shabby

Self isn't going to fricken Texas. ONE if he didn't leave to go to Oklahoma St when it was open and his Alma Mater and I guy that basically offered a blank check to Self-- he the sure as hell isn't going to Texas.

I'm still going with Coach comes back for one more year , rolls through upcoming year with Patterson and then hangs it up , retiring from KU. - -He has mentioned multiple times how he doesn't want to Coach a lot longer , wants to be able to spend time with the wife and enjoy the Grand kids

@mayjay Thats seems to be a major part of the problem my friend. For a lot of people here, when you have such a winning program year in and year out it becomes automatically expected with some.- When you have a bump in the road and don't win the title every year or a final four, fans gt pissed then they try and dissect EVERYTHING and the most popular thing to do is - -FIRE THE COACH the game has passed him by , he is no good , he needs to retire.- - -It still amazes me when this happens, I guess the opposition has nothing to do with the outcome of the Season, I guess they are suppose to just roll the ball out on the floor and tell KU ok , you name the score and let us know when your done so we can get our ball back.

I know what your saing.- As for me sure I get pissed in the heat of the moment, frustrated, all the things that go with it but at the end of the day --your 100 % spot on -- it's a game a hell of a lot more then basketball makes up my existence.

I get more pissed at some who want to unload on Coach Self at the first sign of trouble , GOD forbid he ripples the Crimson waters-- SPOILED thatall it amounts too , but I guess Coach created that by winning so much. I'll always back Coach Self until the end, even after he retires he will go down one of the best Coach's KU has had or maybe the best for what he accomplished here at KU.

Hell people loved Roy while at KU- -tell me how many NCAA trophies did he win while here at KU? - -Hey they were his recruits, so can't say well they weren't -He won a big fat ZERO while at KU- -Did he win what 14 consecutive Conference Championships while he was here ?

The big question I would love to have answered is OK so people think it's time for Bill to retire and he sucks , he is no good- - So tell me then what Coach given the current roster that Coach has exactly the same roster make up -how many other Coach's would of done any better then Coach Self ?- --I'll answerer they wouldn't have- -not with this roster, I know well this it's Self
