@kuballin10 At this point your not getting any argument from me about Hunter , for his size hght and bulk he is not playing up to what should be his capability.

One more time , he is big slow white boy who can't jump worth a dam, he wants to wander out acting like he is some three point specialist , who except from the beginning of last yr when he made quite a few- - ever since he hasn't shot squat from there, if he isn't knocking down three's he is further pulling away from what he should be doing REBOUNDING OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS I would hate to see his offensive rebounding numbers, Plus a guy his size is no reason why he doesn't establish position better and finish more. Proof of his explosion I have seen on multiple occasions now where he has had a dunk block by a rim - - -what the hell , he has no explosion.

Sure Hunter does well against the Washburn's, the YMCA's , the little lower schools, once again we see how he does against similar talent, Exhibit A - - FOUR POINTS and sic rebounds- - -Seriously ? This is another reason Hunter is not in the NBA Now , Hunte more likely then not won't be in the NBA , again being to slow NBA Bigs will eat him alive. - -Can you image him trying to match up with the likes of Karl Anthony Towns ?- -or Dokic ? Lord have mercy.-- -to , to slow. He will have some nights but he is not anything special by any means , huge liability on defense. Can you imagine the difference between him and Flory give him a couple more years of development. Flory much , much more fluid /Athletic

Think that's a smart move, he called the plays during out last Bowl game, him and Coach K , he knew Coach K's scheme think you will see more option type plays next year.

Watched a couple of KU podcasts - and just as they said having Jalon already say he was coming back and that would be a boost in recruiting saying to recruits/portal He JD-6 is going to b the one running the offense , a you know there are going to be many , many receives in the portal- - they see JD back and they say hey he already knows their offense established I wanna go play with him.

Same way for Coach Z-- it's a boost for recruiting, knows the system already he it's a lot better being able to recruit with the targets knowing who the coordinator is going to be - -- Smart move, moved quickly

As if people didn't already know , it's official now JD-6 WILL be returning next year for us. Just read the article put out by Swain. that's a good thing with all the transfers and transfers and all this other, he is going to have his hands full though. New OC , entirely new backfield , and entirely new Receiving Corp , New Linemen JD-6 needs to work on his decision making in the off Season and don't force the ball and end up with so cotton pickin INT's -I for one am glad he is back

I have a feeling we are going to have Mass exodus. Coach L has got his work cut out for him. - I realize I'm just one lil peon, but I'm fighting with myself back and forth with JD-6,

In one aspect I would like for him to come back , experienced , has a cannon of an arm - -sometimes not to the right people but when he is on, he is on - -good dual threat.

However do we want to possibly have one good season with JD , left and jeopardize three years of from what I've heard from many Marshal is just another version of JD-6 only faster lots of talent, was the target of many big boys and committed to KU - -what I'm afraid of is if JD- comes back then Isiah is out in a heart beat knowing the way this Portal is and NIL-- he will go some where , where he is the QB gets playing time.- -Either him or McComb which I've also heard many good things about will leave if JD returns.

So the question becomes, do we sacrifice three years for possibly one good year if JD returns, or does he move on and Marshal or McComb takes the reins

lots of smoke about JD-6,-- will be interesting if he does return. A whole new set of receivers , an entire new backfield , major changes on the O-Line , No Logan Brown , Bryce Forster -- -mercy just gonna be a big challenge

@Kcmatt7 With the way the NCAA has set up new rules on roster limits down to 105 - -your going to have a lot of PWO's and walk on's forced out & then with the fricken NIL which is basically destroying the College game -- it's turned into a huge meat market now - -College sports has truly turned into the minor league of professional sport, Colleges that have small NIL packages are going to get smacked , and smacked hard by departures.

They have made it super simple for a kid now if a Coach yells at a kid and hurts the kids feelings he automatically jumps in the portal, , if the kid feels he should be playing more instead of earning more playing time stepping up the competition for he spot he automatically bails to the portal - -It's going to get really ugly.

Matt Ruhle from Nebraska gave a perfect example saying he was afraid they were losing in between 30 -50 of their roster - - - holy crap Batman, you realize the recruiting effort it is going to take to recover from a thing like that ? I am getting really frustrated with Dickinson , like I have been saying on the defensive end he is total liability , no foot speed , gets burnt continually on pick and rolls, you get him in space he is SLOW we talking maple syrup slow.

Offensively last night was just insane the guy takes four shots the entire game- -FOUR he should have had that before the first break, but wait- --no he can't because he is just getting to half court when the teams are coming back the other way. out of the four he took two were from the three point line and missed of course -- and don't come at me with well he can make those - when ? sure maybe every other Friday he might make one. All he was doing last night on the outside was counting to see how many fans were in the seats I think.

The guy does not fare well when he matches up against similar players/ same stature - -- Creighton's Big did well against him, Hunter gets four shots last night scores SIX points- -SIX for GOD'S Sakes Flory plays as well as Hunter does in the limited minutes that he gets to play. I get it Flory is still green- yes Flory is still a Freshman , Flory is much more Athletic Flory makes mistakes sure he does So does Hunter , Flory just getting started , still learning, he is a Freshman. Hunter is in what his fifth yr ? - -Watch Flory develop he is going to be really good , a lot more Fluid , Athletic , quick off his feet, rim protector , Finisher , Defender- - yes for sure I think it's time for Hunter to stand up and take some accountability for his game , instead of just kicking back and counting his NIL money

In these types of games with this type of pace he might as well just draw water for the guys on the floor -he was absent doing basically zelch, he is SLOW like a sloth

I have said many times in the past no matter who we play for the most part and I speak mainly about middle of the pack to low in our Conference when we come the place is going to be rockin. Other Schools always come up with ways to fill the joint-- Black outs -White outs , some kind of specials for their fans when we come. -- Pump the volume up , , same way for Non Con average teams - -that's because for a lot of these teams we ARE their NCAA Championship game , THE game of the year to them. When they play other Schools their place a lot of times is half full , and dead as a door nail sound wise , excitement wise , you can't figure out if your at a College Basketball game or, a badminton match with a bunch of ol ladies sipping tea and eating crumpets

You tell me if we are not their game of the year then why IF they should they pull the upset - - why do they storm the Court ? -- Hell we have seen seen other good tems fans rush the floor after they should happen to beat us.

One thing I don't get is and announcers have said this , if they beat us or about to, the fans start chanting OVER RATED- -why would you do that All your doing is taking away from your win because , if we are over rated then your not beating a good of team as you thought -- just WOW- - act like you belong.- - -Sorry turned this into a NOVEL response but yes Agree 100 %- - ROCK CHALK

@Texas-Hawk-10 Only thing is , he hasn't proven himself while at KU on a consistent basis to take that outside shot that frequently. It also pulls him away from the basket dismissing the chances for rebounding as he is our top rebounder, and that's not good as we have a hard enough time trying to rebound without him being pulled out at times. I trust him a lot more down low Yet with him camping down low clutters the lane more to eliminate drives from the guards, double edge sword.
Very well could be true what you said about him being last down the floor on purpose , and yet been proven he is just slow period, been proven time and time again by getting beat on the perimeter on defense a liability on the defensive side, been proven to many times slow feet

Was just posting on here less then a half hour ago , go surf other sites from KU and YEP , I guess Daniel Hishaw is done at KU.- It is known why but not being released publicly, we may never know, remember they said like 3 weeks ago that he wasn't with the team that it was a family matte ? - like a post said hard to believe it is something that makes a kid quit football with 3 games to go.- - Look for his name to pop up in the portal.

That's the bad news now for the good news - - - -- we picked up our 2nd portal transfer this morning. Leshon Williams , a running back transfer from Iowa will be a graduate transfer so just a yr but hey- - - 5'10 - -205 RB- bruiser got some speed

Another good piece of news one of our guys already committed was in re-Evalution , , we had three commits get graded higheer but - - -Adrian Holley a DE got two different listed sizes so not sure which one is true but good size either way.- -One has him at 6'6-- & 225 - -then the other has him at 6'4- -& 2325 --really good size either way --- he got bumped up to a 4 *- -went I think from they said an 86 --to a 90- - really good jump , going to be a very busy , interesting off Season

Tell you what I'm afraid of and that is KU is going to fall right in line with so many other Schools. With the rule or limitation with the roster like going from in the past of more around 124 now having to be at 105 then the way the portal has become and the NIL- - I think we are going to fall right in line.

Unfortunately I'm afraid we are going to see mass departures from Walk on's PWO's , redshirts -- kids that feel like they want to go where they have a better chance of seeing game time earlier- like I have read your going to be seeing kids forced out because staff having to deal with the new limitations on the roster.

The portal isn't even open for another week the 9th and your already seeing some pretty decent players declaring to transfer.- - the 5 * wide receiver from Texas Tech , a couple of what looks like decent QB's - Rickie Collins from LSU-- -Anthony Colundrea from Virginia, - -I just think we are going to lose some quality players. - -Like I feel there is a strong chance we lose Marshall if we bring in another QB - in the 25 class , lose either him or McCombs from the 26 class. - -They have just made a huge mess out of this , -just turned the portal into like a game show -- -Let's make a Deal-- , just a big meat markeet

Read yesterday that Coach Self is wanting to run Hunter and Flory together a little more , saying he think Flory and Hunter can play together not big periods of time but like 5 minute runs. Interesting

I think they are going to be decent this yr, and yet it's next year really looking forward to. S'Maya will be a returning 5 * Jr,- -plus w will have two more 5 *joining the team. - -Add them to what we got coming back and the Nations # six ranked group of Ladies , could be a very good year.- got some good three point shooters , if they are on look out.

it is going to be interesting from what I'm reading, like Matt Ruhle of Nebraska said he says they are afraid of them losing between 30 to 50 players this off Season. I've read KU fans talking about how it's going to effect PWO'S and walk on's -- KU has a lot of PWO'S that continue to develop and see playing time a they advance
