Damn, Maryland coming back from a 17 down against Minnesota and hitting a game winning 3 with 1.9 seconds left to stay in the mix for that 4th 1 seed.
@drgnslayr I don't want the litigation because it will end the NCAA because it won't. I want litigation because of the ability to call witnesses to expose everyone else in court. Recruits that were considered strong KU leans until the very end that decide to go elsewhere, call those coaches to explain how under oath. Call the Nike handlers for guys like Zion and Ayton and confirm they didn't turn down whatever their KU offers were to go to Arizona and Duke for free.
If the NCAA wants to single out KU, KU needs to expose everyone in open court.
If the NCAA does go after KU, I hope KU goes Scorched Earth on the NCAA and brings about litigation that forces Duke, Kentucky, UNC, and others to be exposed for the cheating they do as well.
File a civil suit against the NCAA, name coaches and Nike execs as witnesses, force them to testify, if they plead the fifth, that can be used against those people in civil case unlike in a criminal case.

Gary Parrish had a video similar to this today.
Did you see his punchable face?
You've seen his face before!?!? All I've ever seen is the back of his head bobbing up and down between John Calipari's legs.

@FarmerJayhawk Right what I’m saying is that Bill Self hasn’t reinstated him from his indefinite suspension. That could end at the same time as the B12’s suspension but Self hasn’t indicated that to this point. Meaning Self could sit him out longer. Also Silvio could sit behind the KU bench at home games but doesn’t because he doesn’t want to be a distraction.
I believe the phrasing Self used at the time was that Silvio was suspended indefinitely pending the outcome of the B12 investigation which determined a 12 game suspension. Silvio will be back in uniform once his suspension is completed.

People are drastically being over the top on this subject. To say you are scared to go to the game because there is not going to be enough metal detectors??! You think KSU fans are going to be bring guns to the game seeking some sort of revenge. Good grief.
Also, Jamari got bumped not mugged.
KSU has been reprimanded multiple times for not having a proper security plan in place for end game scenarios. I wouldn't expect guns or weapons to be brought in, but the safety concerns inside the arena are valid given the history of security issues inside Bramlage.

I don't know if it was mentioned here before, but WSU yelled fu, KU during one of their games too.
Wonder what refs we'll get sat? Probably call everything! Worry about doke and dot! They have nothing to lose!
Honestly, as hostile as that environment will be on Saturday, we need refs that are going to call the game tight to prevent things from escalating during the game. I would much rather see our stars on the bench in foul trouble than on the floor in a loosely called game where something escalates and we get another fiasco where someone could get suspended or injured and derail this run.

Not sure what's up with Tech tonight, not really playing Tech defense- right about half and down 32-19 @ Oklahoma. - - Oklahoma needs this game bad if they want any chance to get a bid to the Tourney
OU needs the Texas win more than they needed last night. Last night was the one game OU could've lost and kept their tournament hopes alive. With them and Texas both winning their midweek games against ranked teams, their game on Saturday is much bigger now.
Doke will probably get shut out of individual awards because of Dotson and Garrett winning the B12 POY and DPOY awards. Garza from Iowa is probably going to get the 1st team All-American nod over Doke with Doke getting a 2nd team nod.
Despite Dotson being the better player of the two, Doke is absolutely the more valuable player to KU.
Saturday is gonna be something else with that atmosphere.
I agree with the crowd, I want Teahan!!!
And Fran is right, that atmosphere inside Ferrell Center was absolutely electric on Saturday.
That fade away jumper from Dave is getting better every week.

5 days to prepare for juggernaut KSU.
The team might be garbage, but that atmosphere is going to be so toxic, having 5 days to prep for that isn't a bad thing.
Play Dave the rest of the way, no reason to bring Doke back in tonight.
That's an interesting way to determine the tie breaker between KU and Baylor if they both win out.

I wish the Oregon women weren't playing at the same time. Everyone should watch Sabrina Ionescu at least once play because she can flat out ball.
I still don't know how this Oregon team has lost twice. They look incredible every time I have seen them.
One of their losses was two Louisville in the Championship game of whatever tournament they played in November so 3rd game in 3 days so fatigue probably played a part there. Their other loss was on the road to Arizona St. who's ranked 24th right now. Neither are bad losses.

And she just got her 9th rebound to be the first player, male or female, with 2,000 points and a 1,000 rebounds and assists.

Next week against TCU.

Not really, too coaches would rather their players leak out to try and start a fast break.
1,000 career points for Doke now, funny it came from the line.
Damn Dave!

Joel 42 points tonight so far. Harden 31 at the half. Big scoring night for him possible. He and BMac combined for 43 at the half!
Harden is playing the Knicks, that's like 15 against a real team.

Not a fan of the offense right now. Too many 3's going up right now for a non elite shooting team.
They are triple teaming and packing the lane
Still not a fan of the offense. 9 of 12 shots so far have been 3's. Need to get back to pick and roll to force the defense to commit to Doke or Dotson/Garrett.

WVU (away) down 6 to Texas at the half. WVU is struggling...
Texas needs this game a lot more than WVU does. WVU will be in the NCAA Tournament regardless if they win another game or not. Texas needs this to boost their chances of an at large bid.
@Woodrow said in Other Games:
@Texas-Hawk-10 not sure what Mack was waiting to call a timeout during that run.
I think it was because he only had one left and was hoping he wouldn't need to use it.
FSU has just gone on a huge run to take the lead against Louisville at home. 15-0 run now to go from down 8 to up 7.
@BeddieKU23 I could see Florida St. take that 4th 1 seed if they win out through the ACC Tournament and finish up 30-4 entering the NCAA Tournament.
@FarmerJayhawk said in End game failure...:
We didn’t foul up Waco because Baylor is one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the country. Maybe he makes the first, intentionally misses the second, Baylor gets the board, and maybe a tip-in for the tie or kick out for the win. The data say fouling makes it more likely you win and more likely you lose in regulation, not fouling gives you a better chance at OT. Beyond that it’s all context dependent.
We didn't foul against Baylor because that's never been Self's philosophy. This debate happens every time KU is in that situation because Self never fouls up 3 on a final possession and people always debate it.
I just want to see KU win out. I don't care if we split with Baylor or win the B12 outright because that's outside of KU's control. Finish 4-0, guarantee at least a share of the B12 title, win 3 more in KC for the B12 tournament title to leave no doubt, and then cap it off with 6 more wins in Omaha, Indy/Houston, and Atlanta and end the year on a 25 game winning streak I believe is what it would be if KU won out this season.

Nutso finish to Oregon-Arizona.
Ducks make a layup to take the lead with 1.7 seconds in OT, then Zona gets fouled after a fullcourt pass. U of A misses two FTs that would've won the game. Oregon wins instead.
Arizona also had an 80% FT shooter miss a pair of FT's at the end of regulation that would've won it. The kid who missed them in OT was only 40% from the FT line this year so basically if we had to count on Doke to make a FT in that same scenario.

@jayballer73 Congrats to Duke for locking up their one seed with this... GROSS.
I hope we play Duke again, and pound them.
Maryland has the inside edge to that 1 seed in the East with all of the action today so far. I still think Gonzaga and SDSU both end up in the West region as the 1 and 2 seeds.
Tech would probably have to lose out to miss the tournament at this point which isn't out of the question at this point. They play @OU, Texas, KU, @Baylor for their last 4 regular season games so losing out isn't out of the question for Tech. I think they split personally and the B12 gets 4 teams in.

I really hope there's this series ends up a trilogy this season in KC. These legitimately are 2 of the 4 best teams in college basketball this season and the atmosphere inside Ferrell Center was incredible today. Only thing comparable I've been too was mid to late 2000's Texas in Austin.
Have you been to Allen Fieldhouse?
Yes, I'm referring to road games I've specifically been to.

@StLJhawk I do, a lot of misses are just a fraction off, self probably wanted to gamble on our great D, rather than och reaching over on a missed free throw.
Not fouling has always been Self's philosophy in that situation because of how much pride he takes in playing good defense.
Great defense Dotson!!!
@Bwag I will take points like that every time. Fortunately, Moss made both FT's so it doesn't matter now.
We already know Self won't foul in this spot, don't let them get a clean look off and don't foul
Get that ball to Doke for a dunk Moss!!
Let Garrett inbound the ball
Why the hell is Ochai inbounding the ball!?!?
Doke was holding the jersey the entire time, that was a good call, camera angle probably didn't show it though.
